Northeast-10 Player of the Week
James Roche, Bentley (So., OF, Arlington, Mass.) - Slugged two
homers during his first career five-hit game, including the
game-winner in the 11th, to give Bentley an 11-10 win at Florida
Tech. Provided Falcons a 6-5 lead with two-run homer in fifth and
tied game with two-out RBI single in ninth. Overall, hit .348
(8-23) with five RBI and a .609 slugging percentage in five games.
Was 4-for-8 with runners in scoring position.
Northeast-10 Co-Pitchers of the Week
Mike Adams, Franklin Pierce (Sr., SP, Orchard Park, N.Y.) -
Started, threw five hitless innings and got the win as he combined
with Kyle Vazquez to throw a no-hitter in the season-opener at
Dowling. Retired 15 of the 16 batters faced, issuing one walk and
striking out five.
Kyle Vazquez, Franklin Pierce (Jr., SP, Berlin, Conn.) - Threw four
hitless innings out of the bullpen to pick up a save as he combined
with Mike Adams to throw a no-hitter in the season-opener at
Dowling. Retired 12 of the 13 batters he faced, hit one batter and
struck out six.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Ben Benigno, Franklin Pierce (Fr., 3B, Trumbull, Conn.) - Hit
3-for-5 with three singles, drove in three runs and scored another
in his collegiate debut in the 7-0 win at Dowling.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Brett Fistes, Bentley (Sr., SP, South Deerfield, Mass.) - Turned in
an outstanding start against Saint Leo, allowing only four hits and
one run in five innings. Did not issue a walk and struck out
three.
Charlie Pagliarulo, Bentley (Jr., 2B, Medford, Mass.) - In five
games against Sunshine State Conference members, hit .368 (7-19)
with four runs scored, three RBI and a .478 on base percentage.
Weekly Notes:
FRANKLIN PIERCE: Saturday's season-opening no-hitter was
the fifth no-hitter in Franklin Pierce's Division II history
(1989-present) and the third no-hitter against fellow Division II
competition. It is the second time the Ravens have opened the
season with a no-hitter, the other being on March 9, 2002, when
Chris Shank tossed a no-hitter against Fitchburg State. It is the
first time multiple pitchers have combined to throw a no-hitter for
Franklin Pierce.

Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Matt Hall, Stonehill (Sr., G, Springfield, Mass.) - In a 2-0 week,
averaged 24.5 points, three rebounds and three assists. Shot 72
percent from the field (18-for-25), including 6-for-8 from behind
the arc. In a win over Pace, scored a career-high 35 points and
added five assists on 12-for-13 shooting. Made 6-of-7
three-pointers, added two rebounds, two steals and a block. Then in
a win over Saint Rose, had 14 points, four rebounds and three
steals.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Isiah Wallace, American International (Fr., G, Springfield, Mass.)
- Averaged 22 points and nine rebounds in a 1-1 week. Scored a
season-high 30 points, including a school-record 17 free throws,
and grabbed 10 boards in a win over UMass Lowell and netted 14
points with eight rebounds at Franklin Pierce.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Brian Tracey, Bentley (So., F, Bow Mar, Colo.) - In a 2-0 week,
came off the bench to average 15.5 points and 6.5 rebounds while
shooting 59 percent from the field and 60 percent from three
(6-10). Had 13 points and five rebounds at Southern Connecticut,
and 18 points and eight boards against Pace in an OT win.
Jason Westrol, Bentley (Jr., G, Brielle, N.J.) - Averaged 38.5
minutes, 19.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and three steals as
Bentley extended its winning streak to 15 by defeating Southern
Connecticut and Pace. Shot 58 percent overall. Had 22 points (9-12
fg), seven assists, six rebounds and four steals in a 64-56 win at
Southern Connecticut and 17 points and a career-best 13 boards in
an OT win over Pace.
Jeff Manchester, Franklin Pierce (So., G, Gorham, Maine) -
Averaged 15.7 points and 3.3 rebounds over three games this past
week. Shot 51.4-percent (18-for-35) from the field, including
47.8-percent (11-23) from three-point range, for the week. Made
9-of-14 shots from the field, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc
in netting 22 points to go with two rebounds, two assists and two
steals at Assumption. Posted 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the
field, including 4-of-6 three's, adding five rebounds in postseason
clinching win over American International. Opened the week with 11
points and three rebounds at Saint Anselm.
Chris Johnson, Le Moyne (Fr., G, Lindenhurst, N.Y.) - Scored 25
points on 71.4-percent shooting, including 62.5-percent from behind
the three-point line, and grabbed three rebounds in the 86-65 win
at Saint Michael's. Connected on five three-pointers in the contest
and scored 18 points in the second half.
Kyle Caiola, UMass Lowell (Fr., G, Parma, Ohio) - Compiled
averages of 17 points and five rebounds while shooting .545 from
the field (12-22) and .429 from 3-point range (3-7) in a 1-1 week.
Registered 22 points and six rebounds while converting 5-of-7
attempts from long range in a 66-55 loss at American International.
Followed with 12 points (5-6 field goals) and five rebounds in a
77-52 win over New Haven.
Darren Duncan, Merrimack (Jr., G, Briarwood, N.Y.) - Tallied two
double-doubles, averaging 15 points and 11.5 assists in a 2-0 week.
Scored 17 points and dished 12 assists against Saint Rose and set
the school record for career free throws.
Thomas Baudinet, Saint Anselm (So., G, Watertown, Conn.) -
Averaged 15 points and 5.5 rebounds per game last week. The week
was highlighted by a 20-point game versus Franklin Pierce.
John Tello, Saint Anselm (So., F, Ridgefield Park, N.J.) -
Averaged 17.5 points, eight rebounds and one assist per game last
week, while shooting 68.2 percent from the field. The week was
highlighted by a 20-point game versus Saint Michael's.
Greg Vetrano, Saint Anselm (Jr., G, Andover, Mass.) - Averaged
12.5 points per game, along with nine assists per contest and four
rebounds in a 1-1 week. Had a 16-point game versus Franklin Pierce,
along with a 10-assist showing versus Saint Michael's.
Alex Berthiaume, Saint Michael's (Fr., G, Springfield, Mass.) - In
a 1-1 week, scored 16.5 points, handed out 2.5 assists, and grabbed
3.5 rebounds per game. In a 75-71 win over Saint Anselm, scored a
game-high 25 points to go along with four rebounds and two assists.
Shot 9-of-14 from the field and 3-of-7 from behind the arc.
Jermaine Clark, Saint Rose (Jr., G, Perth Amboy, N.J.) - Averaged
14.5 points and 5.5 rebounds, while contributing three assists per
game this past week. Finished with 15 points, five boards and four
assists in an 85-54 setback versus Merrimack. Then tossed in 14
points and hauled in six rebounds in an 80-59 loss at
Stonehill.
Kieran Ramsey, Southern Connecticut (Fr., F, North Hollywood,
Calif.) - Averaged 16 points and 9.5 rebounds in two games last
week. Had a game-high 22 points on 10-for-16 from the floor and a
game-high 13 rebounds against Merrimack.
Lucas Croteau, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., G, Rochester, N.H.) -
Shot 61.5-percent from the floor (8-13) and averaged 12.5 points
per game in a 2-0 week. Went 5-of-8 from the floor (2-2 3PT FG) and
totaled 13 points in a win over Assumption.
Tory Stapleton, Southern New Hampshire (So., F, Rahway, N.J.) -
Averaged 13.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week.
Notched 17 points and eight assists in a win at New Haven.
A.J. Rudowitz, Stonehill (Jr., F, Monroe Township, N.J.) -
Averaged 12 points, 10.5 rebounds and five assists per game in a
2-0 week. In a win over Pace, had seven points, 14 rebounds and a
career-high six assists. Then in a win over Saint Rose, came off
the bench to score a game-high 17 points and add seven rebounds and
four assists in just 23 minutes. For the week, shot 64 percent
(10-for-16) from the field.
Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: Bentley, which moved to 16th in the
latest NABC Division II poll, captured an unprecedented fifth
consecutive Northeast-10 Conference regular season championship and
claimed sole possession of first place for the third straight year,
a feat previously achieved by only Assumption from 1990-92.
MERRIMACK: Merrimack set a school record with its 15th
conference win Saturday against Southern Connecticut. Darren Duncan
set the school for career free throws made and attempted.
SAINT ROSE: Junior guard Jermaine Clark became
the 23rd player in school history to record 1,000 career points
behind a 14-point effort at Stonehill Saturday. Clark needed just
seven points heading into the game and thus has 1,007 career points
at this juncture.
STONEHILL: When Matt Hall scored 35 points in a
win over Pace on Wednesday, it marked the first time since the
1997-98 season that two different players scored 30+ points for
Stonehill in the same season. Shaun Fein had 45 against Bentley and
David Donnelly had 37 against American International. A.J. Rudowitz
scored 38 against Merrimack earlier this season. The Class of
2009's 80 career victories are the most by any graduating class in
school history. David McLaughlin became the first coach in school
history to lead Stonehill to three seasons of 20 or more wins.

Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Lauren Revesz, Saint Rose (Sr., C, Pittsburgh, Pa.) Averaged 26
points and 10 rebounds throughout a 1-1 week. Shot 50-percent from
the field and was 18-of-19 from the foul line. Had 26 points and
hauled in 10 boards in a 78-70 setback versus Merrimack. Tallied an
identical 26-point, 10 rebound effort in a 71-68 triumph at #19
Stonehill.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Brittany Shields, Pace (Fr., F, Cold Spring, N.Y.) - Averaged 24.5
points and 10 rebounds in a 1-1 week. Posted 19 points and 10
rebounds in a win over Stonehill. Recorded a career-high 30 points
along with 10 boards, while shooting 11-for-19 from the field
against Bentley.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Stacy Boisvert, American International (Sr., F, Agawam, Mass.) -
Averaged 15.5 points and six rebounds per game in a 1-1 week.
Scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds in a win over UMass
Lowell and netted 17 points with seven boards at No. 25 Franklin
Pierce.
Kim Brennan, Bentley (So., G, Locust Valley, N.Y.) - Helped
powered a pair of victories by averaging 12.5 points, 6.5 assists,
two rebounds and two steals. Shot 47 percent overall and made eight
of nine three-pointers. Set a career-high with nine assists in the
Southern Connecticut game, and amassed 15 points, four assists and
four steals against Pace.
Kristy McLean, Bentley (Sr., G, Staten Island, N.Y.) - In a pair
of wins, averaged 38.5 minutes, 16 points, nine rebounds, 2.5
assists and 1.5 steals. Shot 54.5 percent overall, made three of
seven from downtown and sank five of six free throws. Recorded her
ninth double-double against Southern Connecticut, finishing with 12
points and 11 rebounds, and posted her ninth 20-point game against
Pace (7-10 fg, 4-4 ft, 2-4 threes for exactly 20).
Jennifer Leedham, Franklin Pierce (Sr., G, Ellesmere Port,
England) – Averaged 13.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, three assists
and 2.7 steals in a 3-0 week. Shot 55.6-percent (10-18) from three
point range for the week. Drained 7-of-10 three’s for 21
points to go with four assists and three steals in the win at
Assumption. Posted 10 points, four rebounds and three steals in the
win at Saint Anselm to start the week. Closed out the week with 10
points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals in the victory
over American International.
Johannah Leedham, Franklin Pierce (Jr., F, Ellesmere Port,
England) - Averaged 21 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.3 steals, 2.7
assists and 1.3 blocked shots in a 3-0 week. Versus American
International, scored 24 points and ten rebounds to go with four
steals and three blocked shots. Totaled 24 points, five rebounds,
five assists and four steals in a win as Assumption. Posted 15
points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in win at Saint
Anselm to open the week.
Katie Dunn, Le Moyne (Sr., G, Whippany, N.J.) - Scored 16 points,
all in the second half, and added two rebounds and two assists in a
63-53 win at Saint Michael's. Went 4-for-4 from three-point range
in the second half to key the second half comeback.
Hannah DeGraffinreed, Merrimack (Fr., C, Raleigh, N.C.) - Tallied
career-highs in points (21) and rebounds (19) and added five
assists leading the Warriors to the playoffs with a 87-75 OT win
over Southern Connecticut. Averaged 14 points and 13 rebounds in
two victories this past week.
Amanda Shannon, Merrimack (Sr., G, North Andover, Mass.) - Scored
29 points, one short of her career-high in a 78-70 win at Saint
Rose. Averaged 24.5 points in two victories this past week.
Lauren Hood, New Haven (Sr., F, Ashland, Mass.) - Averaged 17
points and 4.5 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week. Scored 18 points on
6-of-10 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds against Southern New
Hampshire. Totaled 16 points, two rebounds and a steal in a victory
over UMass-Lowell.
Brittany Huggins, Pace (So., F, Windsor, Conn.) - Averaged 15
points and 2.5 rebounds, while shooting 13-for-22 (59.1%) in a 1-1
week. Tallied 20 points on 8-for-16 shooting, along with four
rebounds and two assists in a win over Stonehill. Netted 10 points
against Bentley.
Megan Howard, Saint Anselm (Fr., F, St. Paul, Minn.) - Averaged a
double-double with 16.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game, along
with one steal and one assist per contest. Had a 15-point,
14-rebound showing versus Franklin Pierce, followed by an 18-point,
13-rebound double-double versus Saint Michael's. Now has 17
double-doubles on the season.
Christine Duffy, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., G, South Boston,
Mass.) - Shot 61.5-percent from the floor (8-13) and averaged 12.5
points and six assists per game in a 2-0 week. Matched season-high
with 14 points and handed out five assists in a win over
Assumption. Totaled 11 points and seven assists in a win at New
Haven.
Julia Houghtaling, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., F, Franconia,
N.H.) - Averaged a double-double (15.0 points, 10.0 rebounds) per
game in a 2-0 week. Finished with season-high 22 points on 6-of-9
shooting (10-12 FT) and grabbed eight rebounds in a win over
Assumption.
Bethany Tighe, Stonehill (Sr., F, North Easton, Mass.) - Averaged
17 points and nine rebounds in a pair of losses last week. In a
loss to Pace, had 19 points and 11 rebounds then had 15 points,
seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in a loss to Saint
Rose.
Kristen McWhirter, Stonehill (So., G, Melvin Village, N.H.) -
Averaged 16 points, six rebounds and 3.5 assists in a pair of
losses last week. In a loss to Pace, had 17 points and five
rebounds then had 15 points, seven rebounds, five assists and no
turnovers in 36 minutes of action in a loss Saint Rose.
Weekly Notes:
FRANKLIN PIERCE: Franklin Pierce captured its first
Northeast-10 regular season championship since joining the
Conference prior to the 2000-01 season. The conference championship
is the Ravens first since it claimed it’s second of
two-straight regular season crowns in the old New England
Collegiate Conference (NECC) in 1998-99. Junior All-American
Johannah Leedham scored the 1,900th point over her career with her
15 first half points against American International on Saturday.
She is still second all-time in program history with her 1,909
career points entering the postseason. Senior Jennifer Leedham
(Ellesmere Port, England) moved into second place on Franklin
Pierce's career steals list with 235, sitting behind only younger
sister, Johannah, who has a program record 287 career thefts.
Jennifer also moved into eighth on the Ravens career scoring charts
with 1,275 career points.
SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: Senior Alyssa Whitney
(Somerville, Mass.) moved into a tie for ninth place on SNHU's
all-time assist list with teammate Stephanie Houghton (Manchester,
N.H.). Both Whitney and Houghton have handed out 265 career
assists. With two wins last week, the Penmen are assured their
first winning season since 1990-91.

Troy Maybury, Southern New Hampshire (So., F, South Portland,
Maine) - Finished with three goals and three assists in a 2-0 week.
Totaled four points (2 goals, 2 assists) in a win over
Stonehill.
Northeast-10 Co-Goalkeeper of the Week
Todd Rowley, Southern New Hampshire (So., G, Billerica, Mass.) -
Combined with Shane Brooks to post a 2-0 record, 2.50 goals-against
average and .904 save percentage. Registered a 2.37 goals-against
average, .923 save percentage and 24 saves in 50:43 of action. -

Combined with Todd Rowley to post a 2-0 record, 2.50 goals-against

Pat Greene, Stonehill (Fr., F, Weymouth, Mass.) - Had the first
multi point game of his career with a goal and an assist in the 7-2
loss versus Southern New Hampshire last week.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Patrick Fitzgibbons, Assumption (So., F, Holliston, Mass.) - In a
0-2 week, scored two goals and had an assist. In a game against
Worcester State, scored two goals and recorded an assist versus
Curry College.
Phil LaBreck, Franklin Pierce (Jr., F, Thornton, N.H.) - Scored a
pair of goals in the loss to Fitchburg State.
Tom Kerwin, Saint Anselm (Sr., F, Whitman, Mass.) – Scored a
goal in each game versus Salem State and Southern Maine.
Ryan Mero, Saint Michael's (Sr., F, Peekskill, N.Y.) - In a 0-2
week, registered a goal and assisted on another. The assist came in
a 4-1 loss to Bowdoin, while his goal came in a 6-1 loss to
Colby.
Bob Bryant, Southern New Hampshire (So., F, Nashua, N.H.) -
Finished with three goals and an assist in a 2-0 week. Totaled two
goals and an assist in a win over Stonehill.
Ryan DiBartolomeo, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., F, Leominster,
Mass.) - Totaled two goals and two assists in a 2-0 week. Finished
with a goal and an assist apiece in wins over Stonehill and
Westfield State.

Northeast-10 Men’ s Swimming Athlete and Freshman of
the Week
Miguel Nesrala, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Santo Domingo, D.R.) -
Was named the Metropolitan Championships Swimmer of the
Competition. Won the 50-yard freestyle (20.33) and took second in
the 200-yard freestyle (1:38.68). Collected his second victory of
the championships when he swam the 100-yard freestyle event in
44.07 for the gold.
Northeast-10 Co-Women’s Swimming Athletes of the
Week
Anne Kaduboski, Bentley (So., Dedham, Mass.) - At the New England
Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships,
captured two golds (100 butterfly, 200 butterfly) and medaled in
all seven events she swam (four relays, three individual). Won the
100 fly in a school and pool record 57.38 seconds, and the 200 fly
in 2:05.28, a meet and pool record. Also set a school record of
1:00.37 during the opening leg of the 400 medley relay. Finished
second in the 50 fly, and was part of two second-place relays (200
free, 800 free) and two thirds (200 medley, 400 medley). Scored 117
of a possible 130 points.
Kristen Frost, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Madison, Conn.) - Was
named the Swimmer of the Metropolitan Championships this past
weekend. Set a new Metropolitan Championships mark in the 200 IM,
as her time of 2:03.99 was nearly two seconds better than her old
mark set in last year’s competition. Set a new record in the
400-yard IM, completing the heat in 4:18.32. In addition, she swam
the 200-yard freestyle event in 1:50.48 for the victory.

Week

Northeast-10 Women’s Diving Athlete of the
Week
Amanda Burden, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Orange, Conn.) - Posted
a score of 403.40 in the one-meter event, defeating the old
championship mark by nearly 100 points. Was selected the
Metropolitan Championships Diver of the Competition for her
efforts.
Northeast-10 Women’ s Freshman of the
Week
Eileen Mullowney, Saint Michael's (Fr., Burlington, Vt.) -
Recorded five top-three finishes - including two individual wins
and five program records - at the NEISDA Championships. Won the
100-yard freestyle (53.09, breaking her own program record and
winning by 1.54 seconds), and the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.90,
lowering her own program record). Finished second in the 500-yard
freestyle (5:15.54), and swam the anchor leg for the third-place
400-yard freestyle relay (3:45.66), and the 800-yard freestyle
relay (8:15.66), helping set program records in both.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Jill Capadanno, Assumption (Fr., Dracut, Mass.) - Scored 59.50
points at the NEISDA Championship, finished fourth in the 200-yard
freestyle final with a time of 2:02.69. Finished seventh in the
200-yard butterfly final with a time of 2:19.36. Finished
thirteenth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:35.52. Also
competed in various relays helping her team to a ninth place finish
in the 800-yard freestyle relay, a tenth place finish in the
400-yard freestyle relay, a fourteenth place finish in the 200-yard
medley relay, and a fifteenth place finish in the 200-yard
freestyle relay
Susie Boretti, Bentley (Fr., Westford, Mass.) - Was second on team
in points during the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and
Diving Association Championships, scoring a total of 98.5. Finished
fifth in the 200 breaststroke (2:33.12) and was sixth in the 50
breast (32.57) and 100 breast (1:09.99). Also medaled in four
different relays, including three seconds.
Molly Murphy, Bentley (Fr., Horseheads, N.Y.) - Earned a gold
medal in the 100 yard individual medley during the New England
Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships,
winning by 0.06 seconds with a time of 1:03.97. Was also 5th in the
50 breast (32.22) and 8th in the 100 breast (1:10.87), and part of
Falcons’ silver-medal winning 200 free relay team.
Kristen Thuerk, Bentley (Sr., Cheshire, Conn.) - During the New
England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association
Championships, finished second in the 1000 free (11:06.41), third
in the 200 butterfly (2:12.37) and fourth in the 500 free
(5:19.55). Also medaled in three relays (two seconds, one
third).
Emily Travers, Bentley (So., Brentwood, N.H.) - Finished third in
the three-meter diving (355.50) and fourth in the one-meter diving
(334.40) during the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving
Association Championships.
Katie O’Donnell, Le Moyne (Fr., Delmar, N.Y.) - Registered
seven top-7 performances, including five top-4 finishes, to lead
the Dolphins to a sixth-place finish at the 16-team UNYSCSA
Championships. Finished in second place in the 100-yard backstroke
with an NCAA ‘B’ cut and school record time of 58.23
seconds. Registered an NCAA ‘B’ cut and school record
time of 2:05.92 in the 200-yard backstroke to finish in fourth
place. Member of school record-setting 200-yard medley relay
(1:49.68) and 400-yard medley relay (3.59.09, NCAA ‘B’
cut) teams that each finished in fourth place.
Mary Walton, Le Moyne (Fr., Syracuse, N.Y.) - Registered an
eighth-place finish with 284.40 points in the three-meter diving
event to help the Dolphins to a sixth-place finish at the 16-team
UNYSCSA Championships.
Katie Kelley, Saint Michael's (Fr., Jefferson, Mass.) - Recorded
five top-five finishes, helping set two program records, at the
NEISDA Championships. Finished second in the 50-yard backstroke
(29.12), third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.99), and fifth in
the 200-yard backstroke (2:21.63). Helped the team set program
records while finishing third in both the 400-yard freestyle relay
(3:45.66) and the 800-yard freestyle relay (8:15.66).
Tierney Carey, Saint Michael's (Sr., Newtown, Conn.) - Finished
third out of 17 competitors in the one-meter dive at the NEISDA

Ryan Brauer, Saint Rose (Fr., Clifton Park, N.Y.) - Established
three school records along with a meet and national ‘A’
cut standard to help Saint Rose take fifth at the Metropolitan
Conference Championships this past weekend. Swam a 4:38.84 in the
500-yard freestyle and registered a fourth place time of 1:54.39 to
surpass his own school mark in the 200 butterfly. Then won the 400
individual medley behind a meet and school record time of 4:01.01.
Additionally, was part of the 400 and 800 free relay squads that
recorded fifth place performances along with the 400 medley relay
quartet.
Jamie Hopper, Saint Rose (Sr., Kingston, N.Y.) - Broke her own
school records on both the one and three-meter boards to help Saint
Rose finish fifth at the Metropolitan Conference Championships this
past weekend. Scored 293.27 points to place seventh in the latter
and accumulated 247.85 points en route to an eighth place showing
in the one-meter event.
Amy Lamparelli, Saint Rose (So., Burnt Hills, N.Y.) - Broke three
individual school records and was part of four relay squads that
accomplished that feat to help Saint Rose take fifth at the
Metropolitan Conference Championships this past weekend. Was fourth
in the 200-yard butterfly with a national ‘B’ cut time
of 2:10.33. Was sixth in the 200 individual medley and seventh in
the 100 butterfly in a school record time of 59.75. Was then part
of school standards in the 200 and 400 medley relay along with the
200 and 800 free relay.
Caitlin Peterson, Saint Rose (Fr., Sherrill, N.Y.) - Established a
pair of individual school records and was part of four relay squads
that conquered school marks at the Metropolitan Conference
Championships this past weekend. Swam a school record time of
1:59.10 in the 200-yard freestyle and also went 5:13.39 in the 500
free to better her own school mark. Was furthermore part of the
200, 400 and 800 free relay squads along with the 200 medley relay
quartet that rewrote the Saint Rose record books.
Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: During the New England Intercollegiate Swimming
and Diving Association Championships, Bentley set three school
records, including two by sophomore Anne Kaduboski, and collected
three gold medals. Kaduboski captured two of the three butterfly
races, and freshman Molly Murphy was victorious in the 100
individual medley. As a team, Bentley finished second amongst 22
teams. Senior Kaitlin Chepeleff (Vernon, Conn.) won the Kay Fromer
as the senior swimmer with the most career points in the meet.
SAINT MICHAEL’S: The women's swimming and diving
team finished third out of 22 schools at the NEISDA Championships
Friday-Sunday at UMass Dartmouth, the program's best finish at the
event. Six program records were set at the meet. Freshman Eileen
Mullowney lowered her own program records in the 100-yard freestyle
(53.09), the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.90), and the 500-yard
freestyle (5:15.54). The Purple Knights also set program records in
the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:45.66), the 800-yard freestyle
relay (8:15.66), and the 400-yard medley relay (4:20.02).

Northeast-10 Men’s Track Athlete and Freshman of the
Week
Kevin Downing, New Haven (Fr., Meriden, Conn.) - Was the only male
individual to win multiple events at the NE-10 Championships,
capturing the 55 and 200-meter dashes. Ran the third fastest time
in meet history in the 55 (6.39) and the second fastest time in
meet history in the 200 (21.99). Also placed third in the 400-meter
dash (51.21).
Northeast-10 Women’s Track Athlete of the
Week
Haley Catarius, UMass Lowell (Jr., Marshfield, Mass.) - Won two
events and was named the Most Valuable Athlete at the Northeast-10
Championships. Won the 500 meters with a time of 1:17.08, and also
ran a 58.06-second leg on the 4X400 meter relay team which placed
first in 4:02.09. Also placed second in the long jump (17 feet,
8.75 inches), and seventh in the triple jump (33' 9.25'').
Northeast-10 Women’s Track Freshman of the
Week
Evelyn Marrero, Bentley (Fr., Amsterdam, N.Y.) - Was the only
freshman runner to win an event at the NE-10 Women’s
Championships, capturing the 5,000 meters in a personal best time
of 19:21.87.
Northeast-10 Men’s Field Athlete of the
Week
Ryan Whitehead, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Darien, Conn.) - Was
named the NE-10 Most Outstanding Performer at the Northeast-10
Championship after winning the pole vault with a leap of 16 feet,
six inches. That figure was an NCAA qualifying mark as well as a
new championship record.
Northeast-10 Women’s Field Athlete of the
Week
Shannon Gagne, New Haven (So., Meriden, Conn.) - Won three events
at the NE-10 Championships, one of which came in the field.
Captured the long jump with a leap of 5.50 meters, provisionally
qualifying for the national meet and took first in the 55-meter
dash (7.24) and the 200-meter dash (25.88).
Northeast-10 Men’s Field Freshman of the
Week
Max Hoddwells, Stonehill (Fr., Wayne, Maine) - Broke his own
school record and finished second in the triple jump with a
distance of 45'1.50”. Also took fourth in the 55 meter
hurdles with a time of 7.98 seconds at the NE-10 Championships.

Won the weight throw with a winning toss of 15.73 meters at the

the 3,000 meters and set a new Northeast-10 championship record

500 meters with a time of 1:06.66 at the Northeast-10 Indoor
Championship and was a member of the 4x400 meter relay team that

Sasha Mathelier, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Freeport, N.Y.) - Won
the pole vault with a leap of 11 feet, 9 and three-quarter inches
at the Northeast-10 Indoor Championship.
Adam McLean, Southern Connecticut (Jr., New Haven, Conn.) - Won
the 800 meters with a time of 1:57.58 at the Northeast-10 Indoor
Championship and was a member of the 4x400 meter relay team that

the 400 meters with a time of 58.76, placed second in the 500

Josh Andrews, Stonehill (Jr., Chelmsford, Mass.) - Took the crown
in the one mile run with a time of 4:22.84. Also anchored the
Distance Medley Relay team which finished with a time of
10:37.24.
Joe D'Agostino, Stonehill (Jr., Canton, Mass.) - Took the high
jump crown by going 6'6.75” at the NE-10 Championships.

SAINT ROSE: The Saint Rose men's and women's
indoor track and field teams broke three school records at the
Northeast-10 Conference Championship meet Saturday afternoon.
Senior Kevin Jackson (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady) bettered his own
school mark in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.68, as did
classmate Brad Lewis (Troy, NY/Troy) who finished the 3,000-meter
run in 8:59.24. Meanwhile, freshman Heather Riley (Riverhead,
NY/Riverhead) registered a height of 2.55-meters in the pole vault
to take fifth in the event.

Williams.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Andrew Gleason, Le Moyne (Fr., No. 4 Singles, Gorham, Maine) -
Picked up the team’s only point in an 8-1 loss at Rochester.
Earned a 6-4, 0-6, 6-4 victory at fourth singles.
