Northeast-10 Men’s Athlete of the Week

Ruben Sanca, UMass Lowell (Sr., Boston, Mass.) - Placed 12th overall and tops among Division II and III runners at the Iona College Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions. Ran the five-mile course in 25:05.9 as UMass Lowell placed 10th - also tops among Division II and III schools - out of 26 colleges. Was also named to the All-Meet of Champions Team.

Northeast-10 Women’s Athlete of the Week

Christina DaLomba, UMass Lowell (Sr., Marstons Mills, Mass.) - Placed seventh overall - sixth among scoring runners - at the UMass Dartmouth Shriners Invitational. Ran the 5K course in 18:40 and helped the team to 12th place among 41 Division I, II and III teams.

Northeast-10 Men’s Freshman of the Week

Carlos Montrond, UMass Lowell (Fr., Brockton, Mass.) - Placed 10th overall in a field of 310 runners at the UMass Dartmouth Shriners Invitational. Ran the five-mile course in 25:22 and helped the UMass Lowell reserves to a ninth-place showing.

Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the Week

Gina Micaroni, Le Moyne (Fr., Blossvale, N.Y.) - Finished in 34th place overall (6th among Division II runners) out of a field of 287 runners with a time of 19:09 at the National Catholic Championships, hosted by the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Matt Hegarty, American International (So., Springfield, Mass.) - Placed 87th overall at UMass Dartmouth's Shriners Invitational with a time of 26:54 to lead the team to a 26th-place finish among the 38 teams.

Patrick Erban, Assumption (Fr., Attleboro, Mass.) - In the UMass Dartmouth Invitational ran a time of 26:32 to finish 66 of 278 runners. Helped Assumption to a team finish of 15th out of 38 teams.

Heather Gostyla, Assumption (Sr., Bloomfield, Conn.) - In the UMass Dartmouth Invitational ran a time of 19:47 to finish 66 of 310 runners. Led all Assumption runners and helped the team finish 21st out of 40 teams.

Chris O'Day, Assumption (Jr., Braintree, Mass.) - In the UMass Dartmouth Invitational ran a time of 26:30 to finish 64 of 278 runners. Led all Assumption runners and helped the team finish 15th out of 38 teams.

Rex Radloff, UMass Lowell (Jr., Dedham, Mass.) - Placed 27th overall (25th among scoring runners) at the Iona College Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions. Ran the five-mile course in 25:20.1 and helped lead the River Hawks to a 10th-place finish - tops among Division II and III teams - in the 26-team field.

Enrick Garcia, Pace (Sr., Moriches, N.Y.) - Finished in 65th place with a time of 18:40 at the NYU Invitational.

Michele Tanzi, Pace (So., Mahopac, N.Y.) - Finished in 33rd place with a time of 22:14 at the NYU Invitational.

Michael Cardillo, Saint Michael's (Fr., Middleton, Mass.) - At Panther Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College finished 17th out of 62 runners who finished, with a time of 29:34.7.

Mary Lynn Denholm, Saint Michael's (Sr., Sparks, Md.) - Finished second overall at the Panther Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College with a time of 18:46.0.

Alex Brown, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., Hudson, N.H.) - Bettered his own school record by posting a time of 26:41 at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.

Jacquelyn Dussault, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., Manchester, N.H.) - Led the team and finished with the ninth-fastest time in program history (20:36) at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.

Jill Alves, Stonehill (Fr., Whitman, Mass.) – Was Stonehill’s top finisher at the Iona Meet of Champions. Finished the 6k course in a time of 23:49.2 for a 70th place.

Kevin Gill, Stonehill (So., Brockton, Mass.) - Was Stonehill's top finisher at the Iona Meet of Champions, placing 43rd with a time of 25:38.2 over the 8k layout.

SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE:
Senior Alex Brown (Hudson, NH) posted the fastest 8K time in program history (26:41) at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday. He now owns the three fastest times in program history.

Northeast-10 Players of the Week

Jaci Moulton, UMass Lowell (Jr., F, Baldwinville, Mass.) – In a 3-0 week, led the team with 14 points on six goals and two assists. Recorded two goals in all three victories versus Saint Michael’s, Assumption and Southern Connecticut.

Northeast-10 Co-Goalkeepers of the Week

Alyssa Sliney, Bentley (Jr., GK, Brewster, Mass.) - During a 3-0 week, allowed just one goal for a 0.33 goals against average. Made a total of 12 saves, including five against Saint Anselm, and recorded the 21st and 22nd shutouts of her career.

Amy Carbon, UMass Lowell (So., GK, Bellingham, Mass.) – In a 3-0 week, posted back-to-back shutouts in victories over Saint Michael's and Assumption. Made a total of eight saves, including five in a 6-1 win over Southern Connecticut.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week


Kathryn Nelson, Stonehill (Fr., M, Shrewsbury, Mass.) - Scored the first two goals of her career in a 3-0 week. Scored in wins over Merrimack and American International.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Courtney Bartlett, Bentley (Jr., M, Brunswick, Maine) - During a 3-0 week, had two goals and one assist. Included were a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over Saint Anselm.

Abbie DeMusis, Bentley (Jr., F, Guilford, Conn.) - Scored the game-winner in each game during a 3-0 week. Netted the first goal in 2-0 wins over both Franklin Pierce and Saint Anselm, and broke a 1-1 tie with about nine minutes left, giving the Falcons a victory over #10 Southern Connecticut State.

Kristin Tormollan, Franklin Pierce (Fr., GK, Waterville, Maine) - Made 23 saves (.852 save percentage) and posted a 1.33 goals against average in a 1-2 week. Made eight saves against 10 shots on goal at Bentley and turned aside six of seven shots on goal in a 2-1 win at American International. Stopped nine of 10 shots on goal at Stonehill.

Sammy Macy, UMass Lowell (So., F, Tewksbury, Mass.) - Totaled three goals and three assists for nine points on the week. Had two goals and an assist in a win over Assumption and a goal and two assists in a win over Southern Connecticut.

Missy Seeley, UMass Lowell (Sr., M, East Hampstead, N.H.) - Had two goals and an assist in a 3-0 week. Tallied two goals in the win at Saint Michael's.

Jill Tierney, UMass Lowell (Sr., F, Newburyport, Mass.) - Had two goals and an assist in a 3-0 week. Recorded a point in each of the three games, including goals in each of the last two.

Jessica DeLacey, Merrimack (Sr., F, Charlton, Mass.) - Scored three goals, including two in a 4-2 win over Saint Anselm.

Andrea Slaven, Saint Michael's (Sr., F, Danvers, Mass.) - In a 1-1 week, scored three goals in a win over Assumption. Became second player in school history to reach the 100-point plateau.

Ann Berry, Southern Connecticut (So., M, Belfast, Maine) – Led the team with five points last week. Scored both goals, including the game-tying and game-winning marker in overtime versus Assumption. Also added an assist against Bentley.

Claire Hourihan, Stonehill (Jr., F, East Amherst, N.Y.) - Scored five goals and added an assist in a 3-0 week which included wins versus American International, Merrimack and Franklin Pierce. In the 6-1 win over American International, had three goals and added two more in the win over Merrimack. Then assisted on the game-winner in a 1-0 win over Franklin Pierce.

Weekly Notes:

SAINT MICHAEL’S: Andrea Slaven became the second player in the school's history to reach to 100-point mark. She currently has 101 for her career and is 12 points behind the all-time leader.

STONEHILL: Jackie Ladino (North Dartmouth, Mass.) has 25 career assists. She needs two more helpers to pass Caitlin Gleason (26) for second all-time on the school's list. Kelly Latendresse has the school mark of 36.

Northeast-10 Offensive Player of the Week

Rob Parent, American International (So., QB, West Warwick, R.I.) - Completed 16-of-23 passes for 331 yards and six touchdowns in the 49-20 win over Bentley. Tied the school-record for passing touchdowns in a game, a mark that he also tied in the season-opening 45-19 win at C.W. Post.

Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Week

Brian Schuster, Pace (Sr., LB, Miller Place, N.Y.) - Recorded a game-high 11 tackles (eight solo), including a pair of pass breakups in a win over Saint Anselm

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Anthony Smalls, Merrimack (Fr., RB, Natick, Mass.) - Rushed 25 times for 135 yards and one touchdown in a 30-28 win over Assumption.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Kertis Hussey, American International (Jr., WR, Paterson, N.J.) - Caught six passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns in the 49-20 win over Bentley. Had scores of 37 and 28 yards.

Travis Poole, American International (Gr., WR, Brooklyn, N.Y.) - Caught six passes for 111 yards and four touchdowns in the 49-20 win over Bentley. Had scoring receptions of 6, 46, 14 and 15 yards, respectively.

Herbert Woodard, Assumption (So., RB, Salem, N.J.) - Totaled 213 yards of all purpose offense, had 16 rushes for 95 yards and two touchdowns, had a long rush of 53 yards and averaged 5.9 yards per rush versus Merrimack. Also had four receptions for 33 yards and returned a punt for 85 yards.

Michael Duffy, Bentley (Jr., LB, Plymouth, Mass.) - Was in on a dozen tackles, including three solos, and also recorded an interception in the Falcons’ loss to American International.

Kurt Leone, Merrimack (So., QB, Marshfield, Mass.) - Completed 21-for-35 passes for 364 yards and two touchdowns in the 30-28 win over Assumption this past weekend. Also rushed for 20 yards.

Jeremiah Watts, Merrimack (Jr., WR, Clovis, Calif.) - Caught 12 passes for 184 yards and one touchdown in a 30-28 win over Assumption.

Chris Roberts, Southern Connecticut (Sr., QB, New Britain, Conn.) – In his first career start, finished 14-of-22 for 230 yards and three touchdowns in the win over Stonehill.

John Wiechman, Southern Connecticut (So., RB, Buxton, Maine) - Rushed for 180 yards and one touchdown in the win over Stonehill. Had a career-long 85-yard run (a touchdown) in the game.

Weekly Notes:

AMERICAN INTERNTIONAL: AIC's 49-20 win over Bentley was its ninth in a row, a streak that began with a 44-21 win over Merrimack on October 6, 2007. The win was also the Yellow Jackets' 11th consecutive home victory, which dates back to November 5, 2005 when AIC recorded a 51-28 win over Saint Anselm. AIC's seven touchdown passes against the Falcons set a school record for touchdown passes in a single game.

ASSUMPTION: Sophomore Herbert Woodard returned a punt for 85 yards versus Merrimack on Friday night, which is a new school record for longest punt return.

MERRIMACK: Senior WR Chris Laham tied the school record with 23 career touchdown receptions, tying Elfren Quiles with that mark with a 69 yard touchdown pass in the first quarter on Friday night.

STONEHILL: Michael Greene (Plainview, N.Y.) returned a fumble recovery 91 yards for a touchdown which turned out to be the longest play in the history of W.B. Mason Stadium in the loss to Southern Connecticut. Senior Jeff Payne (West Haven, Conn.) cracked the 1,000 career rushing yardage mark in the loss to the Owls and George Whetstone (Westwood, Mass.) already has three sacks this season in just three contests. Last year's team leader Tony Camarota had 3.5 sacks in 10 contests.

Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Tom Ayala, UMass Lowell (So., Taunton, Mass.) - Placed third individually among 100 golfers with consecutive rounds of 74 at the ECAC Championship for a two-day total of 148. Shot six over par for both rounds and led UMass Lowell to a tie for fourth place.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Anthony Viskovich, Le Moyne (Fr., Massena, N.Y.) – Carded a two-day score of 152 at the ECAC Division II Championship with a first-round score of 75 followed by a second round score of 78.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Garrett Beyor, American International (So., Monson, Mass.) - Tied for eighth place at the ECAC Division II Championship with a 10-over par 152 (76, 76) to lead the team to a 12th-place finish.

Andrew Mesheau, American International (Jr., Monson, Mass.) – Tied for eighth place at the ECAC Division II Championship with an 11-over par 153 (77, 76) to lead American International to a 12th-place team finish.

Jamie Farrea, Assumption (Sr., Portsmouth, R.I.) - In the ECAC Division II Championship placed 5th among 100 golfers, shot a first round of 70 and a second round 80 to combine for a two day total of 150.

Robert Younker, Assumption (Jr., Waltham, Mass.) - In the ECAC Division II Championship placed eighth among 100 golfers, shot a first round of 79 and a second round 73 to combine for a two day total of 150. Helped Assumption to a seventh place finish among 20 schools competing.

Alex Macielak, Bentley (So., Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) - Averaged 77.0 for three rounds this past week. Tied for third in the Assumption Shootout with a career-best 75, and tied for 28th in the ECAC Div. II Championships (75-81-156).

Richie Powers, Bentley (Fr., Leominster, Mass.) - In his collegiate debut, fired an 80 in the Assumption Shootout, tying for 14th place.

Brian Fleckles, Franklin Pierce (Fr., Sandwich, Mass.) - Posted a team-best 81.33 stroke average over three rounds in two events last week. Carded a two-over-par round of 74 to place second overall at the season-opening Assumption College Shootout. Tied for 75th overall at the ECAC Championship with a two-day score of 170, capped by a round of 84 on day two.

Anthony Gallardo, UMass Lowell (Sr., Methuen, Mass.) – Finished tied for 22nd with a two-day score of 155 after recording a first round score of 75 and a second round score of 80.

Brendan Livingston, UMass Lowell (Jr., Westford, Mass.) - Placed in a tie for 22nd in a field of 100 at the ECAC Championship. Shot a 78-77-155 as UMass Lowell placed in a tie for fourth.

Kent St. Charles, Pace (So., Wells, Maine) – Finished tied for 14th overall at the ECAC Division II Championship with a two-day score of 153 (75-78).

Jimmy Henebry, Saint Anselm (Jr., Hampton Falls, N.H.) - Competed at the Dartmouth Invitational this past weekend. Fired an opening round 76 and a final round 73 for a 149 total and a tie for seventh place.

Chuck Sullivan, Saint Anselm (Fr., East Providence, R.I.) - Competed at the Dartmouth Invitational this past weekend. Posted an opening round 79 and a final round 76 to shoot a 155 total, which was good enough for a tie in 22nd place.

Weekly Notes:

FRANKLIN PIERCE: Freshman Brian Fleckles made a big splash in his collegiate debut, carding a two-over-par round of 74 to place second overall at the Assumption College Shootout on Tuesday. It marks the lowest round carded by a Ravens since Mike Smith posted a round of 72 to earn medalist honors at the 2002 Saint Anselm Invitational.

Shaun Keeley, Stonehill (Jr., F, Woburn, Mass.) - Had three goals in a 1-0-1 week. Scored two first half goals in a 3-0 win over Briarcliffe and the lone goal in a 1-1 draw against Queens College.

Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Ryan Richards, UMass Lowell (Jr., GK, Holden, Mass.) – In two matches, registered his second and third straight clean sheets of the season in a 2-0 win over American International and a 0-0 draw at Le Moyne. Stopped all five shots faced - one against American International and four at Le Moyne - and increased his consecutive shutout minutes streak to 318 minutes.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Vinny Papageorgiou, Franklin Pierce (Fr., GK, Wilmington, Mass.) - Averaged 1.5 saves per match, while posting a 0.45 goals against average and .750 save percentage in a 1-0-1 week. Made three saves to preserve his first collegiate shutout in the 0-0 double-overtime draw with Southern Connecticut and win in goal against Saint Rose.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Joe Ferrentino, American International (Fr., GK, East Longmeadow, Mass.) - Made nine saves in a 0-0 tie with 10th-ranked Merrimack in his collegiate debut.

Stephen Blaisdell, Assumption (So., F, Peabody, Mass.) - In a 2-1 week, scored the game winning goal to beat Le Moyne 1-0. Also added a goal in the 3-2 win versus Concordia.

Mike Nikiforov, Bentley (So., GK, Framingham, Mass.) - Posted a 1-1 record this past week and made 11 saves, recoreded a .846 save percentage, and a 1.10 GAA.

Harris Smriko, Bentley (Jr., M, Ewing, N.J.) - Had a goal and an assist in 4-0 win over at Saint Rose.

Frantz Francois, Franklin Pierce (Sr., M, Saint-Marc, Haiti) - Totaled two goals for four points in a 1-0-1 week. Both goals, including the match-winning marker, came in the second half in the win over Saint Rose to break a 1-1 deadlock at halftime.

Viktor Goncalves, Franklin Pierce (Fr., F, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) - Scored two goals in a 1-0-1 week. Both goals came in the 5-1 victory over Saint Rose.

Steve White, Le Moyne (Jr., GK, Cortland, N.Y.) - Posted a 0.45 goals against average and .875 save percentage in 200 minutes of action in a 0-1-1 week. Turned away seven shots on the week, including three in a 0-0 tie against UMass Lowell.

Ben Paradis, Merrimack (So., M, Tiverton, R.I.) - Tallied a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win over Bentley.

John Corridan, Saint Anselm (Jr., GK, Holliston, Mass.) - In the team's lone game of the week, made seven saves in a 0-0 tie with Saint Michael's.

Jason Burnett, Saint Michael's (Jr., GK, South Burlington, Vt.) - In a 1-0-1 week, recorded nine saves this past week including five in a 3-1 victory over New Haven.

Sean Malvey, Saint Michael's (Sr., M, Sturbridge, Mass.) - In a 1-0-1 week, scored two goals in a 3-1 win over New Haven.

Paulson Edum, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., F, Calabar, Nigeria) - Finished with two goals and an assist in a 2-0 week. Totaled a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over Dowling and recorded a goal in a 2-1 win over New Haven.

Sean Lambert, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., GK, Rehoboth, Mass.) - Allowed just one goal in a 2-0 week. Turned aside all six shots faced en route to his fourth shutout of the season in a 2-0 win over Dowling.

Brandon McFarlane, Stonehill (So., GK, Norwich, Conn.) - Gave up one goal and had 17 saves in 200 minutes in a 1-0-1 week. Also secured a shutout victory versus Briarcliffe.

Gabrielle Gramprey, Merrimack (Jr., F, Brockton, Mass.) - Netted a hat trick in a 3-0 win over Pace and tallied both goals in a 2-0 win over Bentley. Has scored Merrimack's last six goals.

Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Jamie Gillis, UMass Lowell (Jr., GK, North Billerica, Mass.) – In two matches, recorded a pair of shutouts in wins at American International (4-0) and against Le Moyne (2-0). Stopped six shots in the win at American International and five in the victory over Le Moyne to increase her shutout minutes string to 193 minutes.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Kirsten Chirichetti, Assumption (Fr., F, Billerica, Mass.) - In a 1-1 week scored two goals. Scored in a 3-2 loss to Le Moyne and scored a goal in the 3-2 victory over Adelphi.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Cassie Ashwell, American International (So., F, Agawam, Mass.) - Scored two goals with one assist in a 2-1-0 week. Scored twice in the 2-1 win over New York Institute of Technology and registered an assist in the win at St. Thomas Aquinas.

Sarah Boornazian, American International (So., F, Farmington, Conn.) - Scored two goals with one assist in a 2-1-0 week. Scored twice in the win at St. Thomas Aquinas and setup the game-winning goal against New York Institute of Technology.

Gabriela Demoner, Franklin Pierce (Jr., M, Curitiba, Brazil) - Notched a goal and assist for three points in a 2-0 week. Netted the lone goal in the 1-0 victory at No. 15 Saint Rose, ranked 2nd in the region. Dished an assist in the 3-1 win at Southern Connecticut, ranked sixth regionally.

Brittany Ester, Franklin Pierce (Sr., GK, Toms River, N.J.) - Averaged five saves per match and posted a 0.50 goals against average and .909 save percentage with a shutout in a 2-0 week. Made five saves to preserve her first shutout of the season and a 1-0 victory at No. 15 Saint Rose, ranked 2nd in the region. Collected five more stops in the 3-1 win at Southern Connecticut, ranked sixth regionally.


Kaitlyn Brown, Le Moyne (So., M , Glenmoore, Pa.) - Scored the game-winning goal with 1:38 remaining in the 3-2 come-from-behind win over Assumption. Scored off a rebound on a corner kick for her first goal of the season.

Briane Bozzella, UMass Lowell (So., F, Wilmington, Mass.) – In two matches, scored two goals with one each in a 4-0 win at American International and a 2-0 victory against Le Moyne.

Jacqueline Cooney, Saint Anselm (So., GK, Braintree, Mass.) - In a 1-0-1 week preserved a shutout draw versus Saint Michael’s and surrendered just one goal in the win versus Stonehill. Ended a shutout streak of 320 minutes without allowing a goal at the 64th minute.

Teresa Vercollone, Saint Anselm (Fr., F, Pembroke, Mass.) - Had the game-winning goal against Stonehill in the 2-1 victory.

Jazmine Farrell, Saint Rose (So., F, Raritan, N.J.) - Scored five points on two goals and one assist throughout a 1-1 week. All five points came during a 6-0 victory at Bentley. Buried a shot from the right side to make it a 2-0 affair, assisted on the third marker of the match and added a second tally in the 57th minute.

Shannon Murphy, Saint Rose (Jr., GK, Charlton, Mass.) - Surrendered one goal in 135 minutes of action during a 1-1 week. Made four collective saves, registered a 0.67 goals-against-average and an .800 save percentage. Stopped three shots in a 1-0 setback versus #17 Franklin Pierce and made one save in 45 minutes of action in a 6-0 win at Bentley.
Ariel Teixeira, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., F, Warren, R.I.) - Scored the game-winning goal 4:17 into the second overtime session to lift the Penmen to a 2-1 win over No. 6 C.W. Post.

Stef Young, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., GK, Natick, Mass.) - Allowed just one goal during a 2-0 week. Stopped six shots en route to a shutout against New Haven. Turned aside four of the five shots faced in a 2-1 win over No. 6 C.W. Post.

Kelly Regan, Stonehill (Jr., M, Mansfield, Mass.) - Scored a goal and dished out an assist in a 3-1 win over Pace.

Kirstie St. Martin, Stonehill (So., F, Providence, R.I.) - Scored goals in consecutive games against Pace and Saint Anselm in a 1-1 week.

Luis Ramirez, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., No. 2 Singles/No. 1 Doubles, San Cristobal, Venezuela) - Went a combined 3-1 in two matches last weekend. Won both matches against Franklin Pierce.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Amber Chandronnait, Southern New Hampshire (So., NA ,Bow, N.H.) - Captured the singles title at the Wilson/ITA East Regional held at Chestnut Hill this past weekend. Defeated Maria Mendes of Queens 6-1, 6-0 in the finals to win the 48-player tournament. Also went 1-1 in doubles play with Lauren Nigrelli.

Kara Murphy, Bentley (Fr., Worcester, Pa.) - Won a No. 3 doubles match against Brandeis. Won two doubles matches with partner Cheryl Martin at the ITA Regionals to advance to quarterfinals before losing.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Jennifer Erickson, Assumption (Fr., No. 1 Singles/ No. 1 Doubles, Simsbury, Conn.) - In her first collegiate matches picked up two victories. Won her singles match 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 1 position, and picked up a 9-7 victory at No. 1 doubles position.

Cheryl Martin, Bentley (So., Pittsfield, Mass.) - Won a No. 3 doubles match against Brandeis earlier last week. Won two doubles matches with partner Kara Murphy at the ITA Regionals to advance to quarterfinals before losing.

Jackie Smullen, Saint Michael's (Sr. ,No. 3 Singles/No. 2 Doubles, South Burlington, Vt.) - Defeating Assumption 5-4 and leading team to 3-0 start, earned wins in both #2 doubles, and #3 singles.

Catalina Echeverry, Southern New Hampshire (So., NA, Cali, Colombia) - Reached the quarterfinals of the Wilson/ITA East Regional, defeating Maria Ortiz of Concordia and Rebecca Moon of Saint Rose.

Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Ale Kuncaitis, Merrimack (Sr., MH, Canton, Mass.) – In a 3-0 week, averaged 4.36 kills and 3.27 digs per game in wins over Franklin Pierce (3-1), Southern New Hampshire (3-1) and Saint Michael’s (3-0).

Northeast-10 Setter of the Week

Karissa Hookstadt, Franklin Pierce (Sr., S, Camarillo, Calif.) - Recorded 25 or more assists five times during a 4-2 week including 10.1 assists per set. Dished out 31 assists against Post and handed out 54 helpers, added eight digs and five kills against Merrimack. Tallied 61 assists against Fayetteville State and doled out 27 assists against Carson-Newman. Later Saturday, meted out 40 assists against Augusta State.

Northeast-10 Libero of the Week

Cassie Kraft, Bentley (Jr., L, New Braunfels, Texas) - Averaged 5.17 digs and served two aces in two conference wins. Made 17 digs against Saint Anselm and 14 versus Saint Michael’s, both of which were 3-0 wins.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Leah Filonuk, Southern Connecticut (Fr., RS, Greenlawn, N.Y.) – This past week averaged 3.4 kills and 2.2 digs while hitting .274 percent. Had totals of 51 kills and 33 digs for the week.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Kristine Mickelson, Bentley (Jr., MH, San Diego, Calif.) - In a pair of conference wins, hit .375 while averaging 2.17 kills, 1.17 blocks, 0.83 aces and 0.67 digs. Had six kills, two aces, three digs and five blocks against Saint Anselm, and seven kills, three aces, one dig and two blocks versus Saint Michael's. Served on the final five points Bentley scored in set one and set three wins against Saint Michael’s.

Virginia Wong, Bentley (Fr., OH, Quincy, Mass.) - Averaged 3.33 kills, with a .271 hitting percentage, and 1.67 digs during a pair of 3-0 NE-10 wins. Had 10 kills in each match, and six digs against Saint Anselm.

Nicole Buchholz, Franklin Pierce (Sr., MH, Broadlands, Va.) - Topped 15 kills twice in a 4-2 week. Recorded eight kills and added three aces against Post. Hammered out 19 kills to go with seven digs against Merrimack and collected 17 kills as well as six solo blocks against Fayetteville State. Contributed eight kills at Francis Marion and notched six kills and three solo blocks against Carson-Newman.

Emily Schultz, Franklin Pierce (Sr., Salem, Wis. ) - Hit double digits in kills and/or digs four times in a 4-2 week. Tallied eight digs at six kills against Post. Notched 12 kills and 16 digs against Merrimack and hammered out a team-best 19 kills to go with nine digs against Fayetteville State. Dug out 10 balls and added six kills against Carson-Newman. Tallied 10 kills and four digs against Augusta State.

Kaylin Brainerd, Le Moyne (Jr., S, Liverpool, N.Y.) - Dished out 90 assists (8.18/gm) and contributed 31 digs (2.82/gm) and seven blocks (0.64/gm) in a 1-2 week. Registered 51 assists, 17 digs and six blocks in a 3-2 come-from-behind win at Assumption. Recorded 28 assists and 11 digs in the 3-0 loss to Stonehill.

Jillian Hadder, UMass Lowell (So., OH, Yucaipa, Calif.) – In three matches, registered averages of 4.00 kills and 2.38 kills per game in a 1-2 week. Highlighted the week with a season-high 21 kills and 13 digs in a 3-1 victory over Stonehill. Followed with 16 kills and 10 digs in a 3-1 loss at Pace; and 15 kills and nine digs in a 3-2 setback at Southern Connecticut.

Katrina Ali, New Haven (Sr., L, Christ Church, Barbados) – In a 3-0 week, tallied a team-high 38 (3.80 per game) digs including a week-high 17 against Southern New Hampshire. Added five service aces and six assists for the week.

Sara Malmlov, New Haven (So., RS, Lindesberg, Sweden) – In a 3-0 week recorded a team-high 2.67 kills per set with 24 kills in nines sets. Added 26 digs, 11 assists, three aces and nine blocks. Tallied a week-high 11 kills vs. Saint Rose and added another 10 kills against Southern New Hampshire.

Yael Rosner, New Haven (Sr., S, Haifi, Isreal) – In a 3-0 week, led the team with 89 assists (8.90 assists per set) with no errors. Also registered 24 digs, 16 kills, four aces and three blocks.

Danielle Furka, Pace (Sr., OH, Massapequa, N.Y.) - Averaged 2.1 kills and along with 2.3 digs in a 2-1 week. Recorded five kills and four digs against Adelphi. Posted eight kills and 15 digs, along with four services aces in a win over UMass Lowell. Totaled eight kills, four digs and four aces in a win over Saint Anselm.

Shea Hansen, Pace (Fr., S, Mesa, Ariz.) - Averaged 8.4 assists per game in a 2-1 week. Posted nine assists, four kills and four digs against Adelphi. Recorded 19 assists, three aces, two kills, and 10 digs in a win over UMass Lowell. Totaled 13 assists and four kills in a win over Saint Anselm.

Stephanie Kazmierczak, Pace (So., L, Buffalo, N.Y.) - Averaged 5.5 digs in a 2-1 week. Posted 15 digs against Adelphi. Totaled 25 digs in a win over UMass Lowell. Tallied 15 digs in a win over Saint Anselm.

Mary German, Saint Rose (Jr., L, Canandaigua, N.Y.) - Averaged 3.92 digs throughout a 2-1 week, including 51 digs to go with eight assists and six aces. Registered 13 digs in a 3-2 victory at American International and followed that performance with 18 digs and three aces in a 3-1 triumph at Stonehill. Closed out the week with 20 digs and three assists in a 3-1 setback at New Haven.

Andrea Nolan, Southern Connecticut (Fr., S, Ridgefield, N.J.) – In a 5-0 week, recorded a total of 110 assists. For the week averaged 8.46 assists per set.

Jenna Tammel, Southern Connecticut (Jr., RS, Spring Valley, Minn.) – Had a total of 63 kills and 49 digs this past week. Averaged 3.5 kills and 2.72 digs per game while recorded a .329 hitting percentage.
