Northeast-10 Men’s Athlete of the Week
Ruben Sanca, UMass Lowell (Sr., Boston, Mass.) - Placed second
individually and led UMass Lowell to its second New England Cross
Country Championship in three years. Ran the five-mile course in
24:36, just one second behind winner Tim Ritchie of Boston College,
as UMass Lowell scored 79 points.
Northeast-10 Women’s Athlete of the
Week
Christina DaLomba, UMass Lowell (Sr., Marstons Mills, Mass.) -
Placed 32nd overall and 31st among scoring runners at the New
England Cross Country Championship. Ran the 5K course in 18:34 and
led the River Hawks to 23rd in the 45-team field.
Northeast-10 Men’s Freshman of the Week
Jeff Veiga, UMass Lowell (Fr., Lowell, Mass.) – Placed 96th
overall and helped lead UMass Lowell to the team title at the New
England Championships with a time of 26:12.
Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the
Week
Gina Micaroni, Le Moyne (Fr., Blossvale, N.Y.) - Finished in first
place in a home dual meet with Saint Rose. Finished the three-mile
course in 19:57 as the Dolphins fell to the Golden Knights by one
point, 28-27.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Eddirise Gaye, American International (Fr., Pawtucket, R.I.)
– At the New England Championships finished with a time of
24:08.
Brian Mulwo, American International (Fr., Kenya) - Paced the
Yellow Jackets at the New England Championships, placing 161st with
a time of 26:53 in his collegiate debut.
Patrick Erban, Assumption (Fr., Attleboro, Mass.) - Led all male
Assumption runners at the New England Championships with a time of
26:52.
Heather Gostyla, Assumption (Sr., Bloomfield, Conn.) - Was the
leading runner for the Greyhounds with a 20:07 time in 160th place
at the New England Championships.
Melissa Nash, Bentley (Sr., Marshfield, Mass.) - Posted her second
straight top-40 finish at the New Englands, with her time of 18:39
good for 38th overall and fourth amongst Northeast-10
competitors.
Andy Watson, Bentley (Jr., New Milford, Conn.) - Was 10th amongst
Northeast-10 runners at the New Englands, placing 45th overall with
a time of 25:34. Improved on his 2007 performance by 98 seconds and
79 places.

overall and led UMass Lowell to the New England Cross Country
Championship for the second time in three years. Ran the five-mile
course in 24:43 as UMass Lowell scored 79 points.
John Doherty, Merrimack (Fr., Chelmsford, Mass.) - Placed 240th
overall at the New England Championships in a time of 27:57.
Ashley Sarris, Merrimack (Fr., Shelton, Conn.) - Placed 164th
overall in a time of 20:09 at the New England Championships.
Jefferson Welch, Merrimack (Sr., Haverhill, Mass.) - Placed 81st
at the New England Championships in a time of 26:02.
Mary Lynn Denholm, Saint Michael's (Sr., Sparks, Md.) - Placed
35th (and third among Division II runners) at the New England
Championships in Boston's Franklin Park, running the 5,000-meter
course in 18:35.
Meaghan Lucie, Saint Rose (So., West Islip, N.Y.) - Took third
overall to help Saint Rose take a slim 27-28 victory at Le Moyne.
Covered the trek in 21:02 as 18 runners competed in the race.
Jacob Edwards, Southern Connecticut (Sr., North Stonington, Conn.)
- Helped the Owls finish in 14th place in the New England
Championships with a time of 25:15, placing him 22nd overall in the
316 runner field.
Kevin Gill, Stonehill (So., Brockton, Mass.) - Earned All-New
England accolades with a fourth place finish at the New England
Championships. His time of 24:54 marked the first time a Stonehill
runner has completed the course in under 25 minutes.

Northeast-10 Player and Goalkeeper of the
Week
Alyssa Sliney, Bentley (Jr., GK, Brewster, Mass.) - Posted a 0.35
goals against average and averaged 11.5 saves in a pair of penalty
stroke victories over nationally-ranked teams. Recorded a shutout
against UMass-Lowell and in strokes during the two games, allowed
only five of 12, including just one of four versus the River Hawks.
Stopped the final one by Stonehill, giving the Falcons sudden
victory.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Amanda McLean, American International (Fr., F, Branford, Conn.) -
Scored a pair of overtime game-winners in a 2-0 week. Scored the
only goal of the game in a 1-0 overtime victory over Assumption and
scored the game-winning goal in overtime at Saint Anselm. Also
assisted on the game-tying goal against the Hawks, which was scored
with just 55 seconds left in regulation.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Nicole Spence, American International (So., GK, Port Jefferson,
N.Y.) - Recorded six saves versus Assumption in the 1-0 overtime
victory marking her first victory and shutout of the season.
Tori Bergantino, Bentley (Fr., M, Waltham, Mass.) - Made all three
of her penalty stroke attempts, including the game-winner against
Stonehill, in a pair of stroke-off victories over nationally-ranked
teams.
Ashley Moirano, Franklin Pierce (So., M, Vero Beach, Fla.) -
Scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win at Assumption.
Amy Carbon, UMass Lowell (So., GK, Bellingham, Mass.) - Did not
allow a goal and made 11 saves in 142 minutes of play over two
games last week versus Bentley and Merrimack.
Sammy Macy, UMass Lowell (So., F, Tewksbury, Mass.) - Scored two
goals - both coming in the win over Merrimack, in a 1-1 week.
Andrea Slaven, Saint Michael's (Sr., F, Danvers, Mass.) - Scored
two goals and added an assist in a 1-1 week. Netted the
game-winning goal with less than two minutes to go, and added an
assist, in the win versus Merrimack, and scored the team's lone
goal in the overtime contest with Southern Connecticut.
Molly Daniels, Southern Connecticut (Sr., D, Canton, Conn.) -
Registered a goal in each of the team’s two wins over
nationally ranked teams last week. Scored the first goal of the
game against both Stonehill and Saint Michael's.
Whitney Martin, Southern Connecticut (Sr., M, Harwinton, Conn.) -
Scored the game-winning goal in overtime versus No. 10 Saint
Michael, 2-1.
Lauren Zarrella, Southern Connecticut (So., GK, Morris, Conn.) -
Backstopped the team to a pair of road wins over nationally ranked
squads. Tallied 13 saves in an overtime win at No. 6 Stonehill and
five in an overtime win at No. 10 Saint Michael's.
Claire Hourihan, Stonehill (Jr., F, East Amherst, N.Y.) - Scored
both goals in an 0-2 week. Had the game-tying goal with no time
left in a 2-1 overtime loss to Southern Connecticut and then had
the game-tying goal in the 53rd minute in an eventual 2-1
stroke-off loss to Bentley.
Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: Bentley, which returned to the NFHCA
Division II top ten last week following a four-week absence, has
won nine straight, the Falcons’ longest winning streak since
a 19-game winning streak in 2004.
SAINT MICHAEL’S: Senior Andrea Slaven set a
program record for career goals when she netted her 46th goal - a
game-winner with less than two minutes remaining in regulation - in
Wednesday's 3-2 win versus Merrimack. Slaven broke the record of 45
career goals held by Seanna Poelaert Balfe '00.

Northeast-10 Co-Offensive Player of the Week
John Wiechman, Southern Connecticut (So., RB, Buxton, Maine) - Set
a new career-high in rushing for the third straight game. Rushed
for 229 yards on 32 carries and scored four touchdowns (new
career-high) in the win over Merrimack.
Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Week
Jean Simeon, American International (Sr., DL, Atlantic City, N.J.)
- Recorded a team-best 13 tackles, seven solo, with game-highs of
six tackles for loss and three and a half sacks in the 24-10
victory over Stonehill.
Northeast-10 Co- Offensive Player and Freshman of the
Week
Marc Wilson, Saint Anselm (Fr., QB , Farmington, Conn.) - Rushed
for 181 yards and two touchdowns, as well as completing 11 passes
for 114 yards and two more touchdowns, in the 48-42 win over
Merrimack. Scored a pair of TD's in the final three minutes of the
first half.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Mike Mayo, American International (Fr., RB, Roosevelt, N.Y.) -
Carried the ball 22 times for 131 yards and one score in the 24-10
win over Stonehill.
Rob Parent , American International (So., QB, West Warwick, R.I.)
- Completed 17-of-25 passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns in the
24-10 win over Stonehill, with scoring plays of 12 and 14 yards,
respectively.
Nathaniel Ford, Pace (Sr., RB, Jamaica, N.Y.) - Rushed for 106
yards on 22 carries and scored the go-ahead touchdown with 1:40
left in the game in a win over Assumption. Also caught three passes
for 47 yards and one touchdown.
Ray Gregg, Pace (Jr., QB, Stony Point, N.Y.) - Tossed for 206
yards on 14-for-27 passing and a pair of touchdowns in a win over
Assumption.
Richard Johnson, Merrimack (Jr., RB, Brockton, Mass.) - Rushed for
160 yards and one touchdown on 20 carries in the loss to Saint
Anselm.
James Suozzo, Merrimack (Fr., QB, Everett, Mass.) - Rushed for 132
yards and scored three touchdowns while completing 23 of 49 passes
for 289 yards and one touchdown in the loss to Saint Anselm.
Luke St. Marie , Saint Anselm ( Jr. , RB , Mill Creek, Wash. ) -
Rushed for a single-game school record 241 yards on 28 carries in
the 48-42 win over Merrimack. Also scored a pair of touchdowns,
with those scores coming on 65 and 45 yard runs.
Andrew Pratt, Southern Connecticut (Jr., LB, West Haven, Conn.) -
Paced the defense with six tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble
(that led to a 15-yard fumble return touchdown) and broke up a pass
in the 49-14 win over Bentley.
Weekly Notes:
AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL: AIC’s victory over
Stonhill marked its school-record 12th consecutive win dating back
to last season. The Yellow Jackets also tied the school record for
consecutive home victories with its 13th straight win at John Homer
Miller Field, a streak that began with a 51-28 win over Saint
Anselm November 5, 2005. AIC also won 13 consecutive home games
spanning the 1999-2002 seasons. The Yellow Jackets 6-0 start to the
season ties the 1980 team for the second-most wins to open a season
in program history. AIC won a school-record eight straight games to
open the 1975 campaign.
ASSUMPTION: Joey Fabiano has reached the 1,000
yard plateau with his 87 yards receiving in a game against Pace on
Saturday. He now has 1,043 yards receiving for his career.
BENTLEY: Bentley didn’t commit a single
penalty in Friday night’s 47-14 loss to Southern Connecticut,
becoming the first team in Northeast-10 history to do so. Senior
John Studley (Peabody, Mass.) moved into fourth on Bentley’s
career reception list (117) and with 1,476 yards, needs 80 to vault
from eighth to fourth in career receiving yards.
SAINT ANSELM: Luke St. Marie rushed for a
single-game school record 241 yards on 28 carries to lead Saint
Anselm to a 48-42 win over Merrimack on Friday night. The win snaps
a 34-game losing streak, the longest in the nation at any level of
college football.

Northeast-10 Player of the Week
D.J. Lantz, Southern New Hampshire (So., New London, N.H.) -
Finished second at the SNHU Penmen Invitational with a two day
total of 146 (74-72).
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Matt Horton, Saint Rose (Fr., Troy, N.Y.) - Captured the individual
title at the Eagle Shootout that was hosted by Post University.
Finished with a two-day total of 145 (76-69) to earn medalist
honors by two strokes. Was the only player to finish a round below
par (one-under) among 64 competitors at the event.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Garrett Beyor, American International (So., Monson, Mass.) - Tied
for second at the Dominican Charger Challenge with a four-over par
148 after shooting two rounds of 74, leading American International
to a fifth-place team finish.
Kent Graham, American International (So., Kamuela, Hawaii) - Tied
for 15th with a 10-over par 154, shooting rounds of 75 and 79 at
the Dominican Charger Challenge.
Tyler Johnson, Assumption (Sr., Holden, Mass.) - At the Eagle Post
Shootout finished tied for 10th shooting a 76/77 combined score of
153 +10. Helping Assumption to a team finish of ninth place.
Robert Younker, Assumption (Jr., Waltham, Mass.) - At the Eagle
Post Shootout finished tied for 13th shooting a 79/75 combined
score of 154 +14, helping Assumption to a team finish of ninth
place.
Brian Jasset, Bentley (Jr., Norwood, Mass.) - Tied for ninth in the
Southern New Hampshire Penmen Invitational with 77-75-152
Peter Ledda, Bentley (Jr., Norwood, Mass.) - Tied for ninth in the
Southern New Hampshire Penmen Invitational with 76-76-152.
Corey Dunn, Franklin Pierce (Sr., Port Jefferson, N.Y.) - Led the
Ravens to a third place finish at the Saint Anselm Fall Classic as
he posted a season-low matching score of 78 to place fourth overall
among individuals at the event.
Patrick Bean, UMass Lowell (Jr., Fitchburg, Mass.) - Carded a
two-round score of 149 to place third at the Southern New Hampshire
Invitational. Shot a 77 for the first day and improved with a 72 to
lead UMass Lowell to third among the six teams.
Anthony Gallardo, UMass Lowell (Sr., Methuen, Mass.) - Placed in a
tie for sixth with a two-round score of 151 at the Southern New
Hampshire Invitational. Shot rounds of 74 and 77 to help UMass
Lowell to third place.
Kent St. Charles, Pace (So., Wells, Maine) - Finished in a
three-way tie for fifth place at the Dominican Invitational with a
two-day total of 150 (77-73) for a +6 for the tournament.
Mike Rattigan, Saint Anselm (Sr., Reading, Mass.) - Fired a 73 at
Candia Woods Golf Course last week to win the Saint Anselm Fall
Classic, beating out Franklin Pierce, Bentley, and Division I
University of New Hampshire.
Chris Riley, Saint Anselm (Sr., Hingham, Mass.) - Fired a 76 at the
Saint Anselm Fall Classic to come in a tie for third place.
Jeff Newell, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., Chicopee, Mass.) -
Finished in a tie for sixth place at the SNHU Penmen Invitational
with a two-day total of 151 (78-73).
Weekly Notes:
SAINT ROSE: Freshman Matt Horton (Troy, N.Y.)
captured the individual title at the Eagle Shootout after firing a
final round 69 to take medalist honors by two strokes. In the
process, Horton became the only player in the nine-year history of
the program to break 70 and etch his name in the record books with
the lowest round in school annals.
SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: The Penmen posted their
second-lowest single-day score (291) in the second round of the
SNHU Penmen Invitational Monday. The score trails only the 281 SNHU
registered in the second round of the 2002 Northeast-10
Championship.

Sam Lamptey, Saint Anselm (Sr., F, Worcester, Mass.) – In a
2-0 week, finished with three goals and two assists. Notched his
first career hat trick with a three-goal, one-assist effort in a
win over American International. Followed with assisting on the
game's lone goal in a 1-0 win at Stonehill.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
John Corridan, Saint Anselm (Jr., GK, Holliston, Mass.) –
Posted a 2-0 record this past week, making two saves in a 4-1 win
over American International and then posting a 1-0 shutout at
Stonehill.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Vinny Papageorgiou, Franklin Pierce (Fr., GK, Wilmington, Mass.) -
Averaged 4.5 saves per match, while posting a 0.50 goals against
average and .900 save percentage in two matches last week. Made
three saves to preserve a shutout of Assumption. Made six stops
while yielding a goal at UMass Lowell.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Eric Heuze, Bentley (Fr., M, Geneva, Switzerland) - Scored his
third goal of the season in 6-2 win over New Haven.
Mike Nikiforov, Bentley (So., GK, Framingham, Mass) - Went 1-0-1
this past week. Made 14 saves and had a 1.00 GAA. All 14 of his
saves came in 0-0 draw with Stonehill.
Harris Smriko, Bentley (Jr., M, Ewing, N.J.) - Had a goal and an
assist against New Haven. Assisted on the go-ahead goal to make
score 2-1 in 41st minute, then scored two minutes later to make
score 3-1.
Bisharra Ettienne, Franklin Pierce (Gr., D, Point Michel,
Dominica) - Posted a goal and assist for three points in a 1-1
week. Also led the defense which conceded just one goal in 180
minutes for the week. Assisted on the match-winning goal and netted
the second goal in the 4-0 win over Assumption.
Cole Larned, Franklin Pierce (Sr., M, Wilton, Conn.) - Totaled a
goal and assist for three points in a 1-1 week. Netted the
match-winning goal and assisted on the second marker in a 4-0 win
over Assumption.
Angelo Reina, Le Moyne (So., F, Frankfurt, N.Y.) - Tallied four
points on two goals in a 1-1 week. Recorded a pair of goals in the
4-0 win over New Haven.
Stephen Potcner, UMass Lowell (So., F, Wilmington, Mass.) –
In two games last week, scored two goals, including the
game-winner, in a 3-2 win over Saint Rose.
Wayne Sygrove, Merrimack (Sr., F, Yorkshire, England) - Tallied a
goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over Southern Connecticut.
Jason Burnett, Saint Michael's (Jr., GK, South Burlington, Vt.) -
Didn't allow a goal in 200 minutes while stopping four shots in a
1-0-1 week. Had one save in a 1-0 win versus Saint Rose, and added
three saves (one in overtime) in a 0-0 tie with American
International.
Rob Pierce, Saint Michael's (So., F, Charlotte, Vt.) - Scored the
game-winning goal 27 seconds into the game in the 1-0 win versus
Saint Rose.
Joe Hunt, Saint Rose (Sr., F, Herfordshire, England) - Tallied
four points on two goals during an 0-2 week. Both markers came via
a 3-2 setback at UMass Lowell as he opened the scoring in the 10th
minute. Struck again just 26 seconds following the second half
kickoff.
Sean Lambert, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., GK, Rehoboth, Mass.) -
Did not allow a goal in two games last week. Went the first 76:14
in goal in a 3-0 win over Assumption and made a pair of saves. Was
not forced to make a save and earned his seventh shutout of the
season in a 3-0 win over Le Moyne.
Brian Guerrini, Stonehill (Jr., GK, Glastonbury, Conn.) - Made 16
saves and only gave up one goal in two matches, including 10 saves
in a 0-0 double overtime draw with Bentley.

FRANKLIN PIERCE: Sophomore midfielder Johan
Torstensson (Falkoping, Sweden) was named the Jeff Burstein
Man-of-the-Match for his efforts in Franklin Pierce's 1-0 setback
at UMass Lowell on Wednesday by Ravens head coach Marco Koolman.
The award is given to Franklin Pierce's top player in its annual
regular season match with UMass Lowell in memory of the 1998 Walter
Peterson Male Student-Athlete of the Year who perished in an
automobile accident near his hometown of Beachwood, N.J., on July
26, 2001. The former Ravens goalkeeper and standout baseball
player, inducted into Franklin Pierce's Athletics Hall of Fame in
2007, served as an assistant coach at UMass Lowell for two years
after graduating from Franklin Pierce.
SAINT MICHAEL’S: Sophomore Rob Pierce
(Charlotte, Vt.) set a program record for quickest goal to start a
game when he scored just 27 seconds into Tuesday's 1-0 win versus
Saint Rose. The previous record was 31 seconds, by Jerrod Hall '06
versus Southern N.H. on Oct. 8, 2003.

Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Tina Gillen, Assumption (So., F, East Bridgewater, Mass.) - In a
1-1 week, scored three goals. Had two goals including the game
winner in a victory over Southern New Hampshire. Also scored a goal
in a contest against Franklin Pierce.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Shannon Murphy, Saint Rose (Jr., GK, Charlton, Mass.) - Went 2-0
without allowing a goal in 135 minutes of action last week.
Collected a total of six saves as well for a 1.000 save percentage.
Made one save throughout the first half of a 3-0 victory over Saint
Michael's and registered the clean sheet behind five saves versus
UMass Lowell.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Erin Fleury, UMass Lowell (Fr., D, Princeton, Mass.) - Scored the
lone goal in a 1-0 double-overtime victory at No. 16 Franklin
Pierce, giving the River Hawks their first-ever win over the Ravens
in 16 meetings.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Kara Potts, American International (Jr., GK, Westfield, Mass.) -
Recorded seven saves and posted one shutout in a 1-1-0 week. Made
two saves in the shutout victory against Saint Anselm and
registered five saves against Saint Michael’s.
Sarah Tomlinson, American International (So., M, Clitheroe,
England) - Scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the
2-0 win over Saint Anselm.
Kara Smith, Bentley (So., GK, West Springfield, Mass.) - Made 16
saves this past week, posting a 1.50 GAA and a .842 save
percentage. Made eight saves each against Stonehill and New
Haven.
Angelika Johansson, Franklin Pierce (So., F, Falkenberg, Sweden) -
Netted the match-winning goal in the 2-1 victory at Assumption. The
goal came just 1:13 after Franklin Pierce had opened a 1-0 lead
late in the first half.
Amanda Abbatiello, Le Moyne (Sr., GK, Liverpool, N.Y.) - Posted a
0.90 goal against average and 10 saves in a 1-0-1 week. Registered
five saves in a 2-1 win over New Haven and recorded five saves in a
1-1 tie against #18 Southern New Hampshire.
Christina Harrison, Le Moyne (Jr., F, Jamesville, N.Y.) -
Registered two points on a goal in a 1-0-1 week. Scored the
game-winning goal with just 2:56 remaining in regulation in the 2-1
win over New Haven.
Shannon Rowan, Merrimack (Sr., GK, Fair Haven, N.J.) - Stopped
seven shots for the shutout leading Merrimack to its sixth win in
seven matches over Southern Connecticut.
Bethany Dunn, Saint Anselm (Jr., M, Plymouth, Mass.) - Scored two
goals in the second half in the 6-2 victory over Pace.
Jennifer Pearl, Saint Anselm (So., M, Stoughton, Mass.) - Scored
two goals en route to a 6-2 win of conference foe Pace.
Kristen Bidosky, Saint Rose (So., M, Cornwall, N.Y.) - Recorded
three points on one goal and one assist throughout a 2-0 week. In a
3-0 win over Saint Michael's, found the inside of the far post from
10-yards out just 57 seconds after entering the contest. Then stole
the opening kickoff of the second half, which allowed the Golden
Knights to make it a 2-0 affair just 10 seconds into the final
period.
Nicola D'Errico, Saint Rose (Fr., F, Shrewsbury, Mass.) - Recorded
three points on one goal and one assist in a 2-0 week. Struck from
15-yards out in the 68th minute of a 3-0 victory over Saint
Michael's. In a 2-0 win over UMass Lowell, assisted on the final
score of the contest.
Nicole Burton, Southern Connecticut (Jr., M, Warwick, N.Y.) -
Tallied a goal and dished out an assist in the 5-0 victory over
Pace.
Katie DiDio, Southern Connecticut (So., GK, Vernon, Conn.) -
Allowed one goal and tallied eight saves in two games in a 1-1
week.
Kristina Cardoso, Southern New Hampshire (So., F, Stoughton,

Week
Amanda Burden, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Orange, Conn.) - Was the
top Division II finisher in both the 1- and 3-meter diving events
at the Sonny Werblin Invitational at Rutgers. Finished fifth in
3-meter with a score of 167.75 and sixth in 1-meter with a score of
184.45.
Northeast-10 Men’s Freshman of the Week
Jeremy Frey, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Pipersville, Pa.) -
Finished third in the 400 IM, sixth in the 100 backstroke and was a
part of the 400 freestyle relay team that finished fourth at the
Sonny Werblin Invitational at Rutgers.
Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the
Week
Jill Capadanno, Assumption (Fr, Dracut, Mass.) – In a dual
meet team win versus WPI finished first in the 200 yard freestyle
(2:05.02), 500 yard freestyle (5:43.02) and second in the 100 yard
butterfly with a time of 1:07.16. All three times were school
records. Also swam the third leg on the 200 yard medley relay team
that placed first.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Katherine Carder, Assumption (Fr., Sudbury, Mass.) – In a
dual meet team win versus WPI, finished second in the 1,000 yard
freestyle setting a new school record with a time of 12:43.03.
Placed third in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of
2:41.42 and finished fourth in the 200 yard backstroke with a time
of 2:40.24. Swam the first leg of the 200 yard medley relay team
that finished first.
Erica Cusumano, Assumption (Fr., Warwick, R.I.) - Finished first
in the 100 yard breaststroke setting a new school record with a
time of 1:18.81. Placed second in the 200 yard Breaststroke setting
a new school record with a time of 2:54.39 and in the 200 yard
individual medley with a time of 2:36.39. Swam the second leg of
the 200 yard medley relay team that finished first during a dual
meet team win versus WPI.
Kristen Norris, Assumption (Fr., Ansonia, Conn.) - Finished first
in the 50 yard freestyle with a school record time of 27.45 and
finished first in 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:01.52. Had a
third place finish in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of
2:16.68. Swam the final leg of the 200 yard medley relay team that
placed first during a dual meet team win versus WPI.

Northeast-10 Co-Players of the Week
Rebecca Moon, Saint Rose (So., No. 1 Singles/Doubles, Rancho
Mirage, Calif.) - Recorded a pair of victories over Bentley and New
Haven this past weekend. Took a 6-0, 6-1 decision against the
Falcons from the top spot and was a 6-0, 3-0, retired winner
against New Haven. Also chalked up a pair of victories at first
doubles to go perfect in the two matches. She was an 8-0 winner
against the Chargers and helped defeat Bentley 8-4.
Lindsey Herchel, Stonehill (So, No. 1 Singles/No. 1 Doubles,
Hampden, Mass.) - Went 2-0 at No. 1 singles, including a 7-5, 6-1
win against Division I Holy Cross, in which she came back from a
1-5 deficit in the first set. Also won at No. 1 doubles against
Holy Cross, 8-2, and Franklin Pierce 8-4.

Ellisha Terry, American International (Fr., OH, Fort Worth, Texas)
- Averaged 4.20 kills and 2.90 digs per game and hit .384 (42
kills, nine errors, 86 total attacks) in a 3-0 week. Recorded 15
kills and six digs in a 3-0 win over Southern Connecticut, 12 kills
and 14 digs in a 3-1 win over Le Moyne and 15 kills with nine digs
in a 3-0 win at Saint Anselm.
Northeast-10 Setter of the Week
Kervelle Redhead, American International (Fr., S, St. James,
Trinidad and Tobago) - Averaged 11.20 assists and 3.30 digs per
game in a 3-0 week. Had 36 assists, seven digs and four service
aces in a 3-0 win over Southern Connecticut, had 41 assists and 18
digs in a 3-1 win over LeMoyne and tallied 35 assists and eight
digs in a 3-0 win at Saint Anselm.

Katrina Ali, New Haven (Sr., L, Christ Church, Barbados) - In a
4-0 week, including three wins at the Shippensburg Regional
Crossover, tallied 64 digs (4.27 digs per set). Also recorded nine
assists and two aces for the Chargers.

Jenn Hormann, American International (Jr., L, Forest Grove, Ore.)
- Averaged 4.20 digs per game in a 3-0 week. Recorded seven digs
against Southern Connecticut, 19 digs against LeMoyne and 16 digs
at Saint Anselm.
Kambryn Williams, American International (So., OH, Pomona, Calif.)
- Averaged 3.00 kill, 3.00 digs and 0.90 service aces per game in a
3-0 week. Had nine kills, nine digs and four service aces in a 3-0
win over Southern Connecicut and tallied 12 kills and 15 digs in a
3-1 win over LeMoyne. Closed the week by posting nine kills, six
digs and four service aces in a 3-0 win at Saint Anselm.
Alaura Berry, Bentley (So., MH, San Diego, Calif.) - Hit .488
while averaging 2.2 kills and 0.7 blocks during a 1-2 week; had
only two errors in 41 attacks during the week with a .556 hitting
percentage against Assumption and .526, with 11 kills, against
Incarnate Word.
Cassie Kraft, Bentley (Jr., L, New Braunfels, Texas) - Averaged
5.2 digs during a 1-2 week, with 22 in three games versus
Merrimack, 15 in three at Incarnate Word and 15 in a 3-1 victory
over Assumption; also had two aces against Assumption.
Kristine Mickelson, Bentley (Jr., MH, San Diego, Calif.) -
Averaged 3.4 kills and 1.4 blocks while hitting .333 during a 1-2
week. Hit .435 with 14 kills in a 3-0 win over Assumption, and .348
with 11 kills in a loss at Merrimack. Had six blocks in the
Merrimack match and four against both Assumption and Incarnate
Word.
Nicole Buchholz, Franklin Pierce (Sr., MH, Broadlands, Va.) -
Averaged 3.33 kills, 0.75 digs and 0.58 blocks per set in a 2-1
week. Recorded 17 kills and three blocks against Southern New
Hampshire. Tallied 18 kills at Pace. Posted five kills, five digs
and three blocks at Adelphi.
Chelsie Kohout, Franklin Pierce (So., L, Harrison Township, Mich.)
- Recorded 3.92 digs per set in a 2-1 week. Recorded 17 digs
against Southern New Hampshire and tallied 18 digs at Pace. Posted
12 digs later at Adelphi.
Ale Kuncaitis, Merrimack (Sr., MH, Canton, Mass.) - Led the team
to a 3-0 win over Bentley with 15 kills, 16 digs, and two service
aces, while hitting .351.
Elyse Lorenz, Merrimack (So., L, Frankfort, Ill.) - Recorded 42
assists and 10 digs in the 3-0 win over Bentley.
Charisse Cotton, New Haven (Sr., OH, East Patchogue, N.Y.) –
The team went 3-0 at the Shippensburg Regional Crossover defeating
Shippensburg, Edinboro and Millersville in the two day tournament.
Also defeated UMass Lowell earlier in the week. Led the team with
64 kills in the four matches and tallied 4.27 kills per set and
added eight total blocks. Recorded a .350 hitting percentage and
added six digs as well.
Rhe-Ann Niles, New Haven (Gr., MH, St. Thomas, Barbados) –
In a 4-0 week, including three wins at the Shippensburg Regional
Crossover. Led the team with a .529 hitting percentage off 51 kills
and five errors on 87 total attempts. Tallied four solo blocks and
assisted on 12 other stops. Also recorded seven service aces and
nine digs. Averaged 3.40 kills, 1.07 blocks and 0.47 aces per
set.
Yael Rosner, New Haven (Sr., S, Haifi, Isreal) - In a 4-0 week,
including three wins at the Shippensburg Regional Crossover tallied
148 assists (9.87 assists per set). Also averaged 2.20 digs per set
(33 total) and recorded seven total blocks. Nailed 24 kills, with
six errors on 67 attempts (.269 hitting percentage).
Amy Manougian, Saint Michael's (Sr., S, Rye, N.H.) - Tallied a
match-high 41 assists (10.25 per game), and added 10 digs and six
service aces in a 3-1 win versus Plattsburgh.
Stephanie Dluginski, Southern New Hampshire (So., MH, Floral Park,
N.Y.) - Totaled 21 kills (3.0 kps) and nine blocks (three solo) in
a 1-1 week. Registered 14 kills, four blocks and a .308 hitting
percentage in a 3-0 win over Assumption.
Laura Noonan, Stonehill (So., MH, Hampstead, N.H.) - Hit .333 with
16 kills and added 12.5 blocks (1.25 per set) in a 2-1 week for
Stonehill.

BENTLEY: Senior Tori Piskulick (San Diego,
Calif.), with 4,370 career assists, needs 68 more to surpass Sue
Kosh as Bentley’s all-time leader. Junior Cassie Kraft has
moved into second on Bentley’s career assist list with 1,389,
