Northeast-10 Men’s Athlete and Freshman of the Week

Brian Mulwo, American International (Fr., Kenya) - Placed second overall and was the top-finishing attached runner with a time of 26:31, leading the Yellow Jackets to a first-place finish at the Western New England College Invitational.

Northeast-10 Women’s Athlete of the Week

Heather Gostyla, Assumption (Sr., Bloomfield, Conn.) - At the Plansky Invitational placed second overall of the mixed 5k finishing with a time of 20:37.1.

Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the Week

Jen D'Angelo, American International (Fr., Watertown, Conn.) - Finished sixth at the Western New England College Invitational with a time of 20:38, helping the Yellow Jackets to a seventh-place team finish.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Sarah Beaudoin, American International (So., Chicopee, Mass.) - Finished eighth at the Western New England College Invitational with a time of 20:48, helping the Yellow Jackets to a seventh-place team finish.

Matt Hegarty, American International (So., Springfield, Mass.) - Finished fourth at the Western New England College Invitational with a time of 26:53, helping the Yellow Jackets to a first-place team finish.

Kyle Mackie, American International (Fr., Amherstburg, Ont.) - Finished 15th at the Western New England College Invitational with a time of 28:12, helping the Yellow Jackets to a first-place team finish.

Patrick Erban, Assumption (Fr., Attleboro, Mass.) - At the Plansky Invitational helped Assumption College to a first place team finish with a fifth place over all finish in the Mixed 5K running a time of 17:12.9.

Kyle Higgins, Assumption (Fr., Braintree, Mass.) - At the Plansky Invitational led Assumption to a first place team finish with a second place over all finish in the Mixed 5K running a time of 17:08.7.

Chris O’Day, Assumption (Jr., Braintree, Mass.) – At the Plansky Invitational led Assumption to a first place team finish with a third place overall finish in the Mixed 5K running at time of 17:12.3.

Erynn Sweeney, Assumption (Fr., Braintree, Mass.) - At the Plansky Invitational finished 14th overall finishing with a time of 22:22.8 in the mixed 5k.

Courtney Garrity, Franklin Pierce (Sr., Manchester, N.H.) - Finished 61st (out of 150) with a time of 23:14 at the Western New England College Invitational.

Justin MacGregor, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Derby, Conn.) - Finished with a time of 16:40, placing him 5th overall in the St. John's Fall Festival. Helped the Owls finish in 3rd place, finishing ahead of three Division-I teams.

Mike Cardillo, Saint Michael's (Fr., Middleton, Mass.) - At the Saint Michael’s Invitational, ran the eight-kilometer course in 27:58.5, placing fifth.

Shauna Harrington, Saint Michael's (So., Griswold, Conn.) - At the Saint Michael’s Invitational, raced to an 18th place finish with a time of 21:19.1, on the five-kilometer course.

Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Jackie Ladino, Stonehill (Jr., F, North Dartmouth, Mass.) - Recorded six goals and an assist in a 3-0 week. In a 5-0 win over American International, had two goals and then in a 6-2 win over Merrimack, registered a goal and an assist. Ended the week by posting a hat trick with three second half goals in a 6-1 win over Franklin Pierce.

Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Alyssa Sliney, Bentley (Jr., GK, Brewster, Mass.) - Made 10 saves and had a 1.30 goals against average as Bentley ran its winning streak to 12 with victories over Franklin Pierce, Southern Connecticut State and Saint Anselm.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Inga Stonga, Southern Connecticut (Fr., M, East London, South Africa) - Tallied five points (two goals, one assist) on the week. Registered an assist in the win over Assumption and scored both of the team’s goals against UMass-Lowell.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Courtney Bartlett, Bentley (Jr., F, Brunswick, Maine) - Scored twice during a 3-0 week that extended Bentley’s winning streak to 12. Both were game-winners, including a 1-1 tiebreaker with 16:14 left at Saint Anselm.

Nicole Murphy, Bentley (Jr., M, Dedham, Mass.) - Scored three times during a 3-0 week, including two second-half goals in a 3-2 win over Southern Connecticut and the game-winner on an overtime penalty stroke at Franklin Pierce.

Ashley Moirano, Franklin Pierce (So., M, Vero Beach, Fla.) - Scored three goals and added an assist for seven points in a 1-2 week. Scored a goal against No. 6 Bentley. Scored a goal and added an assist in the 3-0 win over American International. Scored the team’s only goal of the game against No. 9 Stonehill.

Katie Enaire, UMass Lowell (So., F, Amesbury, Mass.) - Had three goals in a 3-0 week. Scored twice and totaled four shots in a 5-2 win over Southern Connecticut.

Sammy Macy, UMass Lowell (So., F, Tewksbury, Mass.) - Scored a team-high five goals in a 3-0 week. Netted two goals in a 6-0 win over Saint Michael's and a hat trick in a 5-2 win over Southern Connecticut.

Laura Urko, Saint Anselm (Sr., F, Attleboro, Mass.) - Had two goals in a 2-0 win over Merrimack as the Hawks posted a 1-2 week.

Andrea Slaven, Saint Michael's (Sr., F, Danvers, Mass.) - In a 2-1 week, registered two goals and an assist. Also had game-winning goal in penalty strokes against Saint Anselm.

Ann Berry, Southern Connecticut (So., M, Belfast, Maine) - Led the Owls with eight points (two goals, four assists) last week. Scored one goal and set up three others in the win over Assumption and tallied a goal against Bentley. Registered an assist against UMass-Lowell.

Grace Martha, Southern Connecticut (Sr., M, Cheshire, Conn.) - Finished with seven points (three goals, one assist) this past week. Had two goals and an assist against Assumption and scored a goal against Bentley.

Claire Hourihan, Stonehill (Jr., M, East Amherst, N.Y.) - Collected 11 points (4 G/3A) in a 3-0 week. In the 5-0 win over American International, had two goals and two assists. Then in a 6-2 win over Merrimack, had two more goals and then contributed an assist in the 6-1 win over Franklin Pierce.


Weekly Notes:

AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL: AIC's five victories this season set the school record for wins in a single season.

SAINT MICHAEL’S: Saint Michael's Carla Hesler recorded her 200th victory as a field hockey head coach in Sunday's 3-0 win at Assumption. Hesler is a combined 200-178-8 in 22 seasons (10 with Saint Michael's, eight at Yale and four at Colgate). With a goal and an assist versus Assumption, senior Andrea Slaven has 112 career points, one shy of tying the program record. Her next goal will be the 50th of her career, adding to her program record.

STONEHILL:
After losing the first four games of the season, Stonehill has outscored their opponents 45-12 in the last 13. Claire Hourihan became the school record holder for goals (18) and points (43) in a season during this past week.

Northeast-10 Offensive Player of the Week

Kertis Hussey, American International (Jr., WR, Paterson, N.J.) - Had a combined 161 yards and three touchdowns in the 42-20 win over Pace. Caught three passes for 42 yards and had two receiving touchdowns and had 119 kick/punt return yards and an additional score. Had receiving TDs of two and 17 yards, respectively, and had a 70-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Week

Mike O’Brien, Merrimack (Sr., DB, Marlboro, Mass.) - Intercepted two passes, leading Merrimack to a 27-11 win over Bentley. Also recorded three tackles.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

James Suozzo, Merrimack (Fr., QB, Everett, Mass.) - Led the team to a 27-11 win at Bentley by passing for 231 yards on 17-of-32 passing with one touchdown, while adding another 43 yards on the ground.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Mike Mayo, American International (Fr., RB, Roosevelt, N.Y.) - Carried the ball 24 times for a game-high 128 yards in the 42-20 win over Pace.

Rob Parent, American International (So., QB, West Warwick, R.I.) - Completed 13-of-23 passes for 156 yards and four touchdowns in the 42-20 win over Pace. Had touchdown passes that went for two, 17, seven and two yards, respectively.

Justin Haines, Bentley (So., DB, Wyoming, Del.) - Had seven tackles and two interceptions in a 27-11 loss to Merrimack. Also averaged 17.5 yards on two kickoff returns.

Greg Brain, Pace (Jr., DB, Westtown, N.Y.) - Totaled eight tackles (six solo), including one for a loss as well as intercepting a pass against American International.

Eric Holter, Southern Connecticut (Jr., DL, Milford, Conn.) - Finished with four tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery (for a 49-yard return) in the win versus Saint Anselm.

Chris Roberts, Southern Connecticut (Sr., QB, New Britain, Conn.) - Finished 15-of-18 for 213 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Saint Anselm. Also ran in a touchdown from nine yards out.

Cruz Parsons, Stonehill (Sr., QB, Signal Hill, Calif.) - Completed 13-of-20 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown and added an additional 32 yards and a touchdown on the ground in the 31-7 win over Assumption.

George Whetstone, Stonehill (Sr., DL, Westwood, Mass.) - Recorded six tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in the 31-7 win over Assumption.

AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL: The win over Pace extends the Yellow Jackets' school-record winning streak to 13 games and its school-record home winning streak to 14 games. AIC's seven straight wins to open the 2008 campaign are the second-most in program history, bested only by the 1975 squad’s 8-0 start.

Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Anthony Gallardo, UMass Lowell (Sr., Methuen, Mass.) - Placed tied for second in a field of 219 at the 74th Annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship with a two-round score of 147. Shot a 79 for the first round and returned with a sterling 68 on Tuesday, thus falling in the tiebreaker for medalist honors.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Matt Horton, Saint Rose (Fr., Troy, N.Y.) - Garnered medalist honors for the second consecutive outing after firing a three-over 74 to help Saint Rose capture the team title at the Franklin Pierce Fall Classic.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Kent Graham, American International (So, Kame, Hawaii) - Tied for 52nd with a +15 159 (78-81) at the NEIGA Championship.

Brandon Jones, American International (Fr., Pawley's Island, S.C.) - Tied for 52nd with a +15 159 (83-76) at the NEIGA Championship.

Steve Wolak, Assumption (So., N. Grosvenordale, Conn.) - At the NEIGA Championship led Assumption to a 21st place finish. Shot a combined score of 157 improving on his first round of 83 by nine strokes to shoot a 74 on the second day of competition. Finished 35 individually.

Brian Jasset, Bentley (Jr., Norwood, Mass.) - Tied for fourth amongst Division II golfers at the New Englands with 80-77-157. Overall, tied for 35th place.

Brendan Livingston, UMass Lowell (Jr., Westford, Mass.) - Placed in a tie for 46th at the NEIGA Championship with a two-round score of 158 (81-77).

Jimmy Henebry, Saint Anselm (Jr., Hampton Falls, N.H.) - Finished in a tie for 63rd with identical rounds of 80 to shoot a 160 at the NEIGA's.

Joe Young, Saint Anselm (Fr., Westwood, Mass.) - Led the Hawks at the NEIGA's with rounds of 78 and 81 for a 159 total and a tie for 52nd place.

John Goodwin, Saint Michael's (Fr., Wolfeboro, N.H.) - At the NEIGA Championship, shot an opening-round 87 and a second-round 79 for a two-day total of 166.

D.J. Lantz, Southern New Hampshire (So., New London, N.H.) - Finished second amongst Division II players and tied for 21st overall at the NEIGA Championship with a two-day total of 154. Led the Penmen to a second place finish among Division II schools.

Northeast-10 Co-Players of the Week

Matthew Pecheone, Le Moyne (Sr., M, New Hartford, N.Y.) - Registered six points on three goals in a 2-0 week. Tallied both goals in the 2-1 overtime win at American International, including the game-winner in the sixth minute of the first overtime period. Added a goal in the 3-0 win over Saint Anselm.

Paulson Edum, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., F, Calabar, Nigeria) - Registered three goals in a 2-0 week. Scored the game's first goal in a 2-1 win over Franklin Pierce. Scored both goals in a 2-1 win over No. 17 Merrimack.

Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Steve White, Le Moyne (Jr., GK, Cortland, N.Y.) - Posted six saves and a 0.48 goals against average in a 2-0 week. Recorded two saves in a 2-1 overtime win at American International and registered four saves to post his sixth shutout of the season in a 3-0 win over Saint Anselm.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Andrew Esposito, Southern Connecticut (Fr., GK, East Haven, Conn.) - Posted two shutouts and combined for seven saves in a 1-0-1. Recorded five saves in the 0-0 draw with Saint Michael’s and made two saves in the 5-0 victory versus Stonehill.


Weekly Honor Roll:

Eric Heuze, Bentley (Fr., M, Geneva, Switzerland) - Assisted on both of Bentley's goals in 2-1 win over Saint Anselm.

Harris Smriko, Bentley (Jr., M, Ewing, N.J.) - Scored a goal in the 2-1 win over Saint Anselm. Had an assist off a corner kick on Bentley's second goal against Queens College.

Frantz Francois, Franklin Pierce (Sr., M, Saint-Marc, Haiti) - Assisted on both goals scored in a 1-1 week. Set up the match-winning goal in the 1-0 victory at New Haven. Assisted on an equalizing goal just before halftime in the loss at No. 5 Southern New Hampshire.

Vinny Papageorgiou, Franklin Pierce (Fr., GK, Wilmington, Mass.) - Posted a 1.00 goals against average and averaged two saves per match in a 1-1 week. Made one save to preserve a 1-0 shutout victory at New Haven and made three saves at No. 5 Southern New Hampshire.

Jesse Carr, Le Moyne (Fr., M, Skaneateles, N.Y.) - Registered an assist in a 2-0 week. Dished out an assist in the 3-0 win over Saint Anselm.

Stephen Potcner, UMass Lowell (So., F, Wilmington, Mass.) - Registered both goals in a 2-1 overtime win at Assumption. Has scored four of UMass Lowell's five goals.

Jason Burnett, Saint Michael's (Jr., GK, South Burlington, Vt.) - Has not given up a goal in 300:00 minutes. Recorded four saves in a 0-0 double overtime tie against Southern Connecticut.

Joe Hunt, Saint Rose (Sr., F, Herfordshire, England) - Recorded a hat trick with three goals throughout the final 17 minutes in the 5-1 victory against Stonehill. Also added an assist.

Patrik Ohlsson, Saint Rose (Fr., GK, Sodertalje, Sweden) - Made seven saves and allowed only one goal in 90 minutes of action to chalk up a 5-1 victory against Stonehill.

Paul Templeton, Southern Connecticut (So., F, Saltcoats, Scotland) - Recorded two goals in the 5-0 win against Stonehill.

Andrew McMath, Stonehill (Fr., F, Weatogue, Conn.) - Scored his first collegiate goal in a 1-0 win over Bloomfield.

Weekly Notes:

SAINT ROSE: Saint Rose snapped a 10-match winless streak behind a 5-1 victory against visiting Stonehill on Saturday. The five goals are the most by Saint Rose since a 5-0 triumph at Southern Vermont on October 2, 1996.

Angelika Johansson, Franklin Pierce (So., F, Falkenberg, Sweden) - Scored all four goals in a 2-0 week. Recorded a hat trick as she scored early in each half and added a penalty kick in the 3-0 victory over Southern New Hampshire. Netted the lone goal of the match in the 1-0 decision over New Haven.

Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Shannon Rowan, Merrimack (Sr., GK, Fair Haven, N.J.) - Did not allow a goal in two games this past week, stopping ten shots in 180 minutes of play. Recorded five saves in the 2-0 shutout victory versus Stonehill and made five stops in the 1-0 shutout win against Southern New Hampshire.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Jami Styruzla, Assumption (Fr., F, Bradford, Mass.) - In a 1-0-1 week scored two goals and had an assist. In a double overtime tie against UMass Lowell scored the team’s lone goal. Scored a goal and assisted on another in the win versus American International.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Tina Gillen, Assumption (So., F, East Bridgewater, Mass.) - In a 1-0-1 week, scored a goal and had an assist in a win over American International.

Lauren Keating, Assumption (So., GK, Nashua, N.H.) - In a 1-0-1 week made a total of eight saves. Posted four in a draw over UMass Lowell and had another four save effort in a win over American International.

Cheryl Boyd, Bentley (Jr., F, Holliston, Mass.) - Had a goal and an assist in the 4-1 win versus Pace.

Brittany Ester, Franklin Pierce (Sr., GK, Toms River, N.J.) - Did not conceded a goal in 170:46 in a 2-0 week. Made one second half save to preserve a 1-0 shutout against New Haven. Posted 80:46 of scoreless action against Southern New Hampshire.

Amanda Abbatiello, Le Moyne (Sr., GK, Liverpool, N.Y.) - Registered eight saves and a 1.50 goals against average in a 1-1 week. Tallied five saves in the 4-0 win over American International.

Christina Harrison, Le Moyne (Jr., F, Jamesville, N.Y.) - Tallied seven points on three goals and an assist in a 1-1 week. Had a hand in all four scores with three goals and an assist in the 4-0 win over American International.

Gabrielle Gramprey, Merrimack (Jr., F, Brockton, Mass.) – Had a hand in each of the team’s three goals this past week. Scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Stonehill and assisted on the team’s lone goal in the 1-0 victory over Southern New Hampshire.

Jacqueline Cooney, Saint Anselm (So., GK, Braintree, Mass.) - Went 2-0 this past week against Bentley and Le Moyne. Recorded five saves in the shutout victory against the Dolphins.

Jennifer Pearl, Saint Anselm (So., F, Stoughton, Mass.) - Quarterbacked the Hawks offense this past week with three assists in two victories this past week versus Bentley and Le Moyne.

Heidi Reece, Saint Anselm (Jr., M, Salem, N.Y.) - Scored two goals in a 5-1 victory over Bentley.
Teresa Vercollone, Saint Anselm (Fr., F, Pembroke, Mass.) - Scored two goals in the 3-0 win over Le Moyne.

Nicola D'Errico, Saint Rose (Fr., F, Shrewsbury, Mass.) – Scored in her third straight game after finishing off a cross in the 81st minute to hand sixth-ranked West Chester a 1-0 setback.

Jazmine Farrell, Saint Rose (So., F, Raritan, N.J.) - Scored three points on one goal and one assist during a 2-0 week. Set up the first goal of the game in a 4-0 victory at Stonehill and then scored under 10 minutes into the second half.

Katie DiDio, Southern Connecticut (So., GK, Vernon, Conn.) - Recorded eight saves in two games last week, allowing only one goal. Finished with a 3-1 win over Stonehill and a 0-0 double overtime tie against Saint Michael's.

Hailey Huntington, Southern Connecticut (So., M, Wallingford, Conn.) - Scored the first goal and assisted the third goal in a 3-1 victory at Stonehill.

FRANKLIN PIERCE:
Senior goalkeeper Brittany Ester collected her fifth shutout of the season last week, giving her 18 in just two seasons with the Ravens to move into fifth place on the program's career list.

SAINT ROSE:
The Golden Knights handed #6 West Chester its first setback of the 2008 campaign after defeating the Golden Rams 1-0 on Monday. Saint Rose has registered at least 10 victories every year this decade and did not allow a goal for the fourth consecutive outing following a 4-0 triumph at Stonehill on Saturday.

Northeast-10 Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week

Jerry Dumary, Le Moyne (So., Ballston Spa, N.Y.) - Registered three individual wins in the season-opening 163-135 win at Oswego. Picked up a win in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:02.71. Also touched first in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:14.91 and the 200-yard IM in 2:08.63.

Northeast-10 Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week

Meghan Nugent, Le Moyne (Sr., Binghamton, N.Y.) - Registered three individual wins in the season-opening 152-147 loss at Oswego. Picked up the win with a time of 11:26.78 in the 1,000-yard freestyle. Registered first-place finishes in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:16.58 and the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.44.

Northeast-10 Men’s Diving Athlete of the Week

Zach Hisert, Le Moyne (Sr., Amsterdam, N.Y.) - Registered a pair of third-place finishes with 188.95 points in the three-meter diving and 209.75 points in the one-meter diving in the 163-135 win at Oswego.

Northeast-10 Women’s Diving Athlete of the Week

Mike Christine, Le Moyne (Fr., Clifton Park, N.Y.) - Registered three individual wins in the season-opening 163-135 win at Oswego. Earned the win with a time of 22.14 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle. Also registered wins in the 100-yard freestyle in 49.74 seconds and the 100-yard butterfly in 54.77 seconds.

Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the Week

Katie O’Donnell, Le Moyne (Fr., Delmar, N.Y.) - Registered three individual wins in the season-opening 152-147 loss at Oswego. Recorded the victory in the 100-yard backstroke in 59.60 seconds. Also touched the wall first in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:10.38 and the 200-yard IM in 2:11.86.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Ryan Brauer, Saint Rose (Fr., Clifton Park, N.Y.) - Was part of four second place performances for Saint Rose at the Hartwick Relays. Helped the 800-yard medley relay squad hit the wall in 8:27.41 and anchored the 600 medley relay team that finished in 6:23.21. Also anchored the 850 free relay contingent that took second in 8:08.99 and swam the second leg on the 300 butterfly relay that registered a time of 2:46.98.

Rosalie Palmer, Saint Rose (Jr., Dallas, Texas) - Helped Saint Rose win the 300-yard backstroke at the Hartwick Relays after finishing in 3:11.46. Was also part of the second place 400 and 600 medley relay contingents who hit the wall in 4:17.31 and 7:13.94 respectively.

John Senkewich, Saint Rose (Sr., Mountainville, N.Y.) - Was part of three second place teams at the Hartwick Relays. Swam the lead leg on the 300-yard butterfly squad that touched in 2:46.98 and then swam third on the 850 free relay contingent that hit the wall in 8:08.99 and anchored the 800 medley relay team that finished in 8:27.41.

Hilary Stanmyer, Saint Rose (Fr., New Paltz, N.Y.) - Helped Saint Rose capture the 300-yard butterfly relay at the Hartwick Relays with a time of 3:42.80. Was also part of the second place 400 medley relay squad and the 300 butterfly contingent who touched in 4:17.31 and 3:21.13 respectively.

Northeast-10 Players of the Week

Heather Haggerty , Bentley (Sr., No. 2 Singles/No.1 Doubles, Hanover, Mass. ) - Went 2-0 in number two singles and number one doubles against New Haven and helped Bentley to a 9-0 win over the Chargers. Teamed with Kelly Fleszar to win their number one doubles match 8-0, then went on to win at number two singles, 6-3, 6-1.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Melissa Ferry, Assumption (Fr., No. 2 Singles/No. 2 Doubles, Cumberland, R.I.) - In a match at Holy Cross, scored the lone point for Assumption in the No. 2 singles position winning the match 6-2, 6-4

Weekly Honor Roll:

Kara Murphy, Bentley (Fr., No. 5 Singles/No. 3 Doubles, Worcester, Pa.) - Went 2-0 in the team win versus New Haven, winning in number five singles and number three doubles. Partnered with Cheryl Martin to win their doubles match 8-4, then was a 6-2, 4-6 (10-6) winner in singles.

Amber Chandronnait, Southern New Hampshire - (So.Bow, N.H.) - Finished fifth out of eight players in the Division II draw at the National Small College Championships in Mobile, AL.

Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Molly Cindric, Merrimack (So., OH, Westlake Village, Calif.) - In a 3-0 week, averaged 4.5 kills and 4.8 digs in 10 games. Notched 29 digs, 22 kills, three service aces, three assists, and two blocking assists in a 3-2 win over Lowell.

Northeast-10 Setter of the Week

Elyse Lorenz, Merrimack (So., S, Frankfort, Ill.) - In a 3-0 week, averaged 11.42 assists per set for a total of 137 assists in 12 games. Added a team-high 10 aces and chipped in with 22 digs, five kills and two blocks.

Northeast-10 Libero of the Week

Alyssa Pickert, Merrimack (So., L, Tinley Park, Ill.) - Led the Warriors to a 3-0 week, tallying 7.4 digs per game, for a total of 89 in 12 games.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Shea Hansen, Pace (Fr., S, Mesa, Ariz.) - Averaged 9.42 assists along with 1.8 digs in a 1-2 week. Tallied 41 assists along with seven digs in a win over Assumption. Recorded a match-high 33 assists and eight digs against Queens. Totaled 39 assists and seven digs against Merrimack.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Cassie Kraft, Bentley (Jr., L, New Braunfels, Texas) - During a 1-1 week, averaged 5.62 digs, with a season-best 26 in a 3-2 win over St. Mary’s (Texas) and 19 in a three-set loss to St. Edward’s.

Kristine Mickelson, Bentley (Jr., MH, San Diego, Calif.) - In a 1-1 week, hit .275 while averaging 2.13 kills and 1.13 blocks. Helped Bentley to a 3-2 win over St. Mary’s (Texas) with 11 kills, five blocks and a .292 hitting percentage.

Nicole Buchholz, Franklin Pierce (Sr., OH, Broadlands, Va.) - Recorded a .408 hitting percentage while averaging 2.27 kills, 0.64 blocks and 0.27 aces per set in a 3-0 week. Racked up 11 kills on 14 attacks without an error to hit .786 with three aces against Saint Anselm. Hammered out eight kills and recorded three blocks at Saint Rose and recorded six kill at Le Moyne.

Karissa Hookstadt, Franklin Pierce (Sr., S, Camarillo, Calif.) - Averaged 9.73 assists, 1.55 digs, 0.73 aces and 0.73 kills per set in a 3-0 week. Dished out 37 assists to go with four digs and four aces against Saint Anselm. Posted 37 assists and 10 digs to go with four kills, three blocks and a pair of aces at Saint Rose and handed out 33 assists at Le Moyne.

Katie Ristow, Franklin Pierce (Jr., OH, Miami, Fla.) - Averaged 2.36 kills and 2.55 digs per set to go with a .254 hitting percentage in a 3-0 week. Collected nine digs to go with five kills against Saint Anselm. Had 14 kills and 13 digs at Saint Rose and recorded seven kills and six digs at Le Moyne.

Allie Eide, UMass Lowell (Sr., DS, Gresham, OR) – In three matches, compiled 63 digs for an average of 4.50 per game in a 2-1 week. Compiled 26 in a 3-2 loss at Merrimack and followed with 20 in a 3-2 win at Saint Rose and 17 in a 3-1 win at Le Moyne.

Sarah Coscia, UMass Lowell (So., MH, Pittsfield, Mass.) – In three matches averaged 3.14 kills per set in a 2-1 week. Highlighted the week with 18 kills in a 3-2 loss at Merrimack. Followed with 11 kills in a 3-2 win at Saint Rose and 15 kills in a 3-1 win at Le Moyne.

Katrina Ali, New Haven (Sr., L, Christ Church, Barbados) - Led New Haven with 27 digs (4.50 digs per set) in a 2-0 week. Recorded three aces and also had six assists.

Charisse Cotton, New Haven (Sr., OH, East Patchogue, N.Y.) - Led the Chargers with 24 kills and an average of 4.00 kills per set in a 2-0 week. Hit 36.7 percent with just six errors on 49 attempts and also had seven blocks (one solo, six assists).

Sara Malmlov, New Haven (So., RS, Lindesberg, Sweden) - Recorded 13 kills in 29 attempts and only two errors (.379 hitting percentage) in a 2-0 week. Led the team with five aces and also contributed 16 digs and five block assists.

Rhe-Ann Niles, New Haven (Gr., MH, St. Thomas, Barbados) - Had a .714 hitting percentage (15 kills, 21 attempts, zero errors) in a 2-0 week. Averaged 3.75 kills per set and also added two block solos and three block assists.

Yael Rosner, New Haven (Sr., S, Haifa, Israel) - Dished out 61 assists (10.17 assists per set) in a 2-0 week. Contributed 12 kills on 20 attempts with just one error (.550 hitting percentage). Also added eight digs and three aces.

Therese Mance, Stonehill (So., L, Milwaukee, Wis.) - Averaged 3.88 digs per set, reaching double figures in all three matches during the week as Stonehill swept all three opponents in straight sets.

Katherine Masson, Stonehill (Sr., OH, Acushnet, Mass.) - Averaged 3.33 kills and 1.83 digs per set in a 2-0 week, sweeping both opponents in straight sets.

Andrea Wirth, Stonehill (So., S, Mesa, Ariz.) – In a 3-0 week, averaged 11.4 assists and 2.67 digs per set, including 37 assists and 10 digs in a 3-0 win over Saint Michael’s.
