Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: Bentley set a school record for wins in a
season, with the current total of 28 bettering the previous
standard of 26, set in 1997. On Saturday, junior CF Brett Damato
(Commack, N.Y.) hit the program’s first grand slam in 310
games, dating back to 2002. Sophomore James Roche (Arlington,
Mass.) became the first Bentley player to reach the 10-home run
mark since before the NE-10 moved to wood bats in 2003. Junior 3B
Charlie Pagliarulo (Medford, Mass.) set a school record he’d
rather not have when he was hit by pitches three times in the first
game of Saturday’s twinbill with American International.
SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: With 100 strikeouts on the season,
senior Ryan Quinn (Lebanon, Conn.) set a single-season school
record. He graduates No. 2 in program history in career strikeouts
with 168.
