Weekly Notes:
AMERICAN INTERNTIONAL: AIC's 49-20 win over
Bentley was its ninth in a row, a streak that began with a 44-21
win over Merrimack on October 6, 2007. The win was also the Yellow
Jackets' 11th consecutive home victory, which dates back to
November 5, 2005 when AIC recorded a 51-28 win over Saint Anselm.
AIC's seven touchdown passes against the Falcons set a school
record for touchdown passes in a single game.
ASSUMPTION: Sophomore Herbert Woodard returned a
punt for 85 yards versus Merrimack on Friday night, which is a new
school record for longest punt return.
MERRIMACK: Senior WR Chris Laham tied the school
record with 23 career touchdown receptions, tying Elfren Quiles
with that mark with a 69 yard touchdown pass in the first quarter
on Friday night.
STONEHILL: Michael Greene (Plainview, N.Y.) returned a
fumble recovery 91 yards for a touchdown which turned out to be the
longest play in the history of W.B. Mason Stadium in the loss to
Southern Connecticut. Senior Jeff Payne (West Haven, Conn.) cracked
the 1,000 career rushing yardage mark in the loss to the Owls and
George Whetstone (Westwood, Mass.) already has three sacks this
season in just three contests. Last year's team leader Tony
