ABOUT UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAVEN
The University of New Haven’s 80-acre campus sits atop a
hill overlooking Long Island Sound. But the University of New Haven
(UNH) is more than just land and buildings. You’ll find the
spirit and energy of UNH in the faces and words of the people
you’ll meet. Get to know our internationally-recognized,
experienced, and approachable faculty; our hard-working, focused
administration and staff; and our world-class, diverse, energized
student body. UNH is more than just a university, it’s an
experience.
Five Colleges
The University of New Haven is composed of five colleges, the
College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, the
Tagliatela College of Engineering, the Henry C. Lee College of
Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences, and University College.
Our Programs
The university offers more than 80 undergraduate degree programs
and more than 25 graduate degree programs. Many degrees are
available through part-time, evening, and executive programs. The
university also offers more than fifty graduate and undergraduate
certificates for those not ready to commit to a degree program.
The Experience
UNH stands apart from other institutions of higher learning
because of its commitment to the concept of experiential learning
– bringing practice into the classroom to educate its
students and show them the world ahead. With the skills we teach
and the foundation we build, our students go on to excellent jobs
in their field or to further study in business, law, education, and
more.
