Merrimack Grad Anne Rounce Named Head Field Hockey Coach

NORTH ANDOVER, MA. – Anne Rounce, a 2007 Merrimack graduate,
was named the head field hockey coach Wednesday. The announcement
was made by Interim Director of Athletics Joe Iarrobino.
“We are very excited to have Anne as our field hockey head
coach,” said Iarrobino. “Her track record of hard work
and dedication as an assistant coach, an alum, and as a
student-athlete speaks for itself.”
Rounce, who spent the 2007-08 field hockey season as an assistant
coach with the Warriors, played for four seasons at Merrimack,
graduating with a degree in math and elementary education.
A South Windsor, Connecticut native, she was a team-captain in
2006, while posting two assists and firing 28 shots in 17 games.
She finished her Warrior career with five goals and nine assists
(19 points), while starting in 60 of the 72 games she appeared
in.
Rounce replaces Shelley Langan who resigned in February after one
season as the Warriors’ head coach.
