Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Whitney Martin, Southern Connecticut (Sr., M, Harwinton, Conn.) -
Helped the team to a 2-0 week with eight points (three goals, two
assists) in those outings. Scored two goals and assisted on another
in the win over American International. Tallied one goal and
assisted another in the win over Merrimack.
Northeast-10 Co-Goalkeepers of the Week
Alyssa Sliney, Bentley (Jr., GK, Brewster, Mass.) - In two wins
and the completion of the suspended shootout game with Stonehill.
Stopped the only stroke attempted by Stonehill, made six saves in a
4-0 win over Merrimack and four in a 2-0 victory against
Assumption.
Jordan Smalling, Saint Michael's (Sr., GK, Essex Junction, Vt.)
– Went 2-0 this past week with shutout victories versus
American International (2-0) and Franklin Pierce (1-0). Recorded
seven saves versus the Yellow Jackets and five versus the
Ravens.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Kimberly Jaksina, Franklin Pierce (Fr., M, Townsend, Mass.) -
Scored her first career goal against UMass Lowell.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Jacki Lapointe, American International (Sr., F, Danvers, Mass.) -
Scored two of the team’s four goals in a 5-4 loss to No. 8
Southern Connecticut.
Nicole Murphy, Bentley (Jr., M, Dedham, Mass.) - Scored three
goals and had an assist during a 2-0 week, including both scores in
a 2-0 win against Assumption. Picked up a goal and an assist in a
4-0 victory over Merrimack.
Michelle Harrington, UMass Lowell (Sr., M, Rockport, Mass.) -
Scored a goal and had a team-best three assists in two games this
past week. Had a goal and an assist in the 4-0 win at Saint Anselm.
Picked up two assists in a 5-1 win over Franklin Pierce.
Sammy Macy, UMass Lowell (So., F, Tewksbury, Mass.) - Scored two
goals and added an assist in a 2-0 week. Had a goal and an assist
in a 5-1 win over Franklin Pierce.
Heather Woodward, UMass Lowell (Sr., M, Ashburnham, Mass.) -
Scored two goals in the 4-0 win at Saint Anselm.
Andrea Slaven, Saint Michael's (Sr., F, Danvers, Mass.) - In a 2-0
week, scored two goals and handed out two assists. Scored the
game-winning goal against Franklin Pierce - and in the process
became the program's all-time leader in points scored.
Jackie Ladino, Stonehill (Jr., F, North Dartmouth, Mass.) - Had a
pair of goals in a 2-0 week. Scored single goals in the 5-2 win
over Assumption and the 2-0 win over Saint Anselm.
Sara Winterbottom, Southern Connecticut (So., F, Burlington,
Conn.) – In a 2-0 week scored three goals and dished out two
assists. Scored two goals in the win over American International
and added one goal and an assist in the win over Merrimack.
Laura Nimon, Stonehill (Sr., M, Gardiner, Maine) - Scored two
goals in a 2-0 week. In the 5-2 win over Assumption had a goal then
scored the game-winner in the 2-0 win over Saint Anselm.
Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: Bentley, after starting the season at
1-5, finished the regular season with a 14-game winning streak, the
Falcons’ longest since the 2004 team won 19 in a row.
SAINT MICHAEL’S: Senior Andrea Slaven became the
program's all-time leader in points scored with her game-winning
goal on Wednesday against Franklin Pierce. It was also her 50th
goal of her career. She currently has 115 career points.
