Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Bob Leopold, Bentley (Gr., Surrey, United Kingdom) - With
back-to-back one-over-par 73's, became the first Bentley player in
19 years to capture medalist honors at the Northeast-10
Championships.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Andrew Lloyd, Le Moyne (Fr., Oswego, N.Y.) - Was named the NE-10
Co-Freshman of the Year after posting a score of 154 in the
Northeast 10 Championships. Helped lead Le Moyne to a 5th place
finish while being named second-team all-conference.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Andrew Mesheau, American International (Fr., Monson, Mass.)
– Earned Second-Team All Conference honors at the
Northeast-10 Championships after shooting a two-day total of 154
(76-78). Finished tied for 11th overall.
Rob Younker, Assumption (Jr., Waltham, Mass.) – Finished
fourth at the Northeast-10 Championships with a 76-74—150 to
earn First-Team All Conference honors.
Brian Jasset, Bentley (So., Norwood, Mass.) - Finished third at
the Northeast-10 Championships with a 73-76-149. Earned First-Team
All Conference honors.
Scott Congdon, Bryant (Sr., Foxboro, Mass.) – At the
Northeast-10 Championships, finished tied for fifth place after
shooting a two-day total of 151 (73-78). Earned First-Team All
Conference honors in the process.
Jason Thresher, Bryant (So., West Suffield, Conn.) –
Finished tied for eighth place at the Northeast-10 Championships.
Shot a two-day total of 153 (76-77), while earning Second-Team All
Conference honors.
Corey Dunn, Franklin Pierce (Jr., Port Jefferson, N.Y.) - Led
Franklin Pierce at the NE-10 Championships with a 16th-place
finish, posting a two-day score of 157.
Joe Tesori, Le Moyne (Sr., Syracuse, N.Y.) – Finished tied
for fifth at the Northeast-10 Championships. Shot a two-day total
of 151 (78-73), while earning First-Team All Conference honors.
Anthony Gallardo, UMass Lowell (Jr., Methuen, Mass.) - Placed
second overall and led UMass Lowell to seventh at the Northeast-10
Championship. Became the fourth UMass Lowell golfer in as many
years to earn NE-10 First-Team honors after shooting a
75-73--148.
Matt Dziubina, Pace (Fr., Shelton, Conn.) - Shot a two-day total
of 157 (79-77), as Pace finished in sixth place at the Northeast-10
Championships.
Dan Psinakis, Pace (Sr., East Meadow, N.Y.) - Shot a two-day total
of 152 (74-78), leading Pace to a sixth place finish at the
Northeast-10 Conference Championships. Was named to Second-Team All
Conference.
Chris Tarallo, Saint Anselm (Jr., Easton, Mass.) - Shot a 73 and
an 80 at the Northeast-10 Championship, earning Second-Team All
Conference honors.
Mark Mitchell, Saint Michael's (Fr., Wilbraham, Mass.) - Tied for
13th at the NE-10 Championships with a two-day total of 77-78 --
155. Finished just one stroke behind the top freshman at the
meet.
Andrew Maziarz, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., Cumberland, R.I.) -
Finished tied for eighth at the Northeast-10 Championships to earn
Second-Team All Conference honors.
Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: Bob Leopold became the first Bentley
player since 1988 to capture the Northeast-10 Conference individual
championship. The graduate student from Rollins has played seven
rounds for Bentley and has not shot higher than 74. Bentley's
Northeast-10 title was its second straight and third since
1992.
