Northeast-10

South Easton, Mass. – The Purple Knights of Saint
Michael’s College have secured the top seed in the upcoming
Northeast-10 Ice Hockey Championship.
Saint Michael’s (10-14-1) and Saint Anselm College (11-11-3)
each claimed a share of the Northeast-10 Regular Season title with
a conference record of 4-1-0. Due to the Purple Knights regular
season victory over the Hawks, Saint Michael’s received the
number one seed, while Saint Anselm will be the second seed.
Both Saint Michael’s and Saint Anselm receive first-round
byes in the tournament and will host the winners of the first round
match-ups in the semifinals.
First round match-ups are set for Saturday, March 1 and include #5
Franklin Pierce University (6-18-0, 1-4-0 NE-10) visiting #4
Stonehill College (11-10-2, 3-2-0 NE-10) and #6 Assumption College
(7-18-0, 0-5-0 NE-10) at #3 Southern New Hampshire University
(11-12-1, 3-2-0 NE-10). The Franklin Pierce/Stonehill contest is
slated for 1:40 p.m., while the Assumption/Southern New Hampshire
game is set for 7:30 p.m.
The semifinals begin on Wednesday, March 5 as the winner of
Franklin Pierce/Stonehill face off against #1 Saint
Michael’s, while the winner of Assumption/Southern New
Hampshire takes on #2 Saint Anselm. Both contests are slated for a
7 p.m. faceoff.
The championship game will be on Saturday, March 8 at the highest
remaining seed. The time is still to be determined. Be sure to

Northeast-10 is the second largest NCAA Division II athletic
conference in the nation and sponsors the most championships of any
