Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Coursen Schneider, Franklin Pierce (Jr., F, Stony Point, N.Y.) -
Recorded three goals and three assists for six points in a 2-0
week. Scored twice, including the game-winner, in the team's 4-3
win over Worcester State. Then had a goal and three assists in an
8-4 win over Assumption.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Jon Tuttle, Franklin Pierce (So., G, Concord, N.H.) - Made a
combined 49 saves to earn two victories last week. Turned away 24
shots to earn the win in the 4-3 victory over Worcester State, then
stopped 25 shots in an 8-4 triumph over Assumption.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Mike Manna, Stonehill (Fr., G, Framingham, Mass.) - Led Stonehill
to two wins over Western New England and Suffolk last week.
Registered save totals of 35, 33, and 26 in three contests.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Phil LaBreck, Franklin Pierce (So., F, Thornton, N.H.) - Notched a
hat trick (the ninth in program history) in the 8-4 victory over
Assumption.
Colin Fitzpatrick, Saint Anselm (Sr., F, Westwood, Mass.) - Scored
a pair of goals in the 7-3 loss to Saint Michael's.
Alex Higgins, Saint Michael's (So., F, Phoenix, Ariz.) - Scored two
goals and an assist in a seven-goal third period rally for Saint
Michael's to overcome a 0-3 deficit to defeat Saint Anselm,
7-3.
Matt Hall, Saint Michael's (Sr., D , Scituate, Mass.) - Scored two
goals, including the game-winner, as part of seven unanswered
third-period goals scored by Saint Michael's to defeat Saint
Anselm, 7-3. Also tallied an assist in a 3-2 loss to New England
College.
Matt Curran, Stonehill (Sr., F, Scarborough, Maine) - Finished with
two goals and two assists in a 2-1 week. Both goals gave Stonehill
early 1-0 leads.
James Florentino, Stonehill (Jr., D, West Roxbury, Mass.) - Blasted
home the game-winner, 2:34 into overtime to claim a 2-1 victory
over Suffolk.
Weekly Notes:
FRANKLIN PIERCE: With two goals and two assists
last week, senior captain Joe Fields set new program records for
career goals (36) and single-season points (28). Fields, who also
owns the Franklin Pierce career assists and points marks, as well
as the single-season assist record, also moved into a tie for first
on the school's single-season goal list with 14 markers.
