Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Ryan Mero, Saint Michael's (Jr., F, Peekskill, N.Y.) - Scored two goals and an assist in a 4-3 conference win over Southern New Hampshire. Also recorded an assist versus Middlebury.

Northeast-10 Goalkeeper and Freshman of the Week

Mike Manna, Stonehill (Fr., G, Framingham, Mass.) - Had 46 saves in a 3-2 loss to Nichols College. Two of the three goals allowed in that game came on power plays for the Bison. Held Assumption scoreless through the first 39:51 of the game, stopping 27 shots to that point. Finished the game with 36 saves in the 5-1 victory.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Sean Staid, Assumption (Sr., F, Peabody, Mass.) - Scored two goals, including the game-winner, in a victory over Fitchburg State.

Jim Trahon, Assumption (Sr., F, Needham, Mass.) - Recorded three points (1 G, 2 A) last week. Had a goal and an assist versus Johnson & Wales and an assist at Stonehill.

Joe Fernald, Saint Anselm (Jr., F, Braintree, Mass.) - Scored the game-winner against UMass Boston with just nine seconds left in the game to lift the Hawks to a 3-2 victory and snap a nine-game losing streak.

John Burns, Saint Michael's (Jr., D, Sandwich, Mass.) – In a 1-2 week, scored one goal and had three assists. Scored a goal versus Middlebury and recorded three assists in a 4-3 conference win over Southern New Hampshire.

Brandon Hammermeister, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., F, Calgary, ALB) - Totaled two goals and an assist in a 1-1 week. Notched a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win over Worcester State.

Troy Maybury, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., F, South Portland, Maine) - Notched two goals and an assist in a 1-1 week. Registered a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win over Worcester State.

Weekly Notes:

SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: Senior Brandon Hammermeister moved into sole possession of eighth place on the Southern New Hampshire career goals list with 67 and into a tie for 10th in career assists with 71. He is tied with Scott Proulx, who recorded 71 assists from 1997-2001.
