Northeast-10 Player and Goalkeeper of the Week
Pat Gallagher, Saint Anselm (Jr., G, Framingham, Mass.) - Picked up
three wins between the pipes this past week. Started the week with
a shutout victory over Southern New Hampshire, making 16 saves.
Then made 45 saves in a 2-1 win over Amherst, and then 29 saves in
a 3-2 win over Hamilton.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Peter Lucchesi, Stonehill (Fr., G, Syracuse, N.Y.) - Peter evened
his record at 2-2 with a win over Framingham State College. Made 32
saves in the victory, including nine in the final period to
preserve a one goal lead.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Dan Anctil, Saint Michael's (Sr., F , Rochester, N.H.) - Led the
team back from a 3-1 deficit in the third period versus Skidmore
College to win 4-3, as he scored two goals and one assist,
including the game-winning goal midway through the third
period.
Tyler Bilton, Saint Michael's (Jr., G, Penticton, B.C.) - In a
1-1-0 week, pushed aside 60 shots against Castleton State and
Skidmore. Against Skidmore, posted two shut-out periods in a 4-3
comeback win.
Patrick McGuirk, Saint Michael's (So., F, Hingham, Mass.) - In a
4-3 come-from-behind win over Skidmore, scored the equalizer in the
third period before assisting on the game-winner minutes later.
Matt Curran, Stonehill (Sr., F, Scarborough, Maine) - Registered
one goal and one assist for two points in the team’s lone
game last week, a 4-3 come-from-behind win versus Framingham State.
Scored at 15:31 in the third period to tie the game at 3-3.
James Florentino, Stonehill (Jr., D, West Roxbury, Mass.) - Scored
the game winning goal, 17:39 into the final period in the 4-3
victory against Framingham State.
Weekly Notes:
STONEHILL: Senior Matt Curran sits at 99 career
points headed into Monday's matchup with Plymouth State. With one
point he can become the 13th player in school history to score 100.
Junior Brendan O'Brien (Braintree, Mass.) moved into a first place
tie in career assists at Stonehill with 81.
