Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Joe Fields, Franklin Pierce (Sr., F, Towamencin, Pa.) - Scored
five goals and added three assists for eight points in four games.
Tied his career high with four points on two goals (including the
game-winner) and two assists in a 9-6 win over Worcester State. Had
two goals and an assist against Johnson & Wales.
Northeast-10 Goaltender of the Week
Shane Brooks, Southern New Hampshire (So., G, Kennebunk, Maine) -
Stopped 30 of the 31 shots he faced in a 1-1 tie with Western New
England.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Sean Woodring, Franklin Pierce (Fr., F, Rogue River, Ore.) -
Recorded three goals and three assists for six points in four
games. Scored his first collegiate goal and added two assists in a
9-6 win over Worcester State. Had a goal and an assist against
Johnson & Wales.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Luke McDonough, Assumption (Sr., F, Norfolk, Mass.) - Scored the
game-winning goal with 49 seconds remaining in a road victory over
Franklin Pierce.
John Routhier, Assumption (Sr., F, Saugus, Mass.) - Scored a goal
and added an assist in a road victory over Franklin Pierce.
Coursen Schneider, Franklin Pierce (Jr., F, Stony Point, N.Y.) -
Recorded eight points on five goals and three assists in four
games. Set a new career-high with four points on two goals and two
assists in a 9-6 win over Worcester State, then followed up with
another two-goal game against Assumption and a power-play tally
against Johnson & Wales.
Matt Farley, Southern New Hampshire (So., F, Halifax, Mass.) -
Totaled two goals and an assist in SNHU's 9-5 win over Framingham
State.
John Frey, Southern New Hampshire (So., F, Westminster, Colo.) -
Notched three assists in a 9-5 win over Framingham State. Also had
SNHU's lone goal in a 1-1 tie with Western New England.
Matt Curran, Stonehill (Sr., F, Scarborough, Maine) - Had a first
period goal in the first three minutes of a 7-1 loss to UMass
Dartmouth. Registered a goal and an assist in Stonehill's 7-5 loss
to Nichols.
Weekly Notes:
FRANKLIN PIERCE: The Ravens tied a school record
with nine goals in Monday’s win over Worcester State,
including a program-record seven power-play goals. Sophomore Casey
Goodell also tied program records with four assists and five points
against the Lancers. Through six games, Franklin Pierce leads the
nation (all divisions) in power-play efficiency, having scored on
42.9 percent of its man-advantage chances.
