Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Brandon Hammermeister, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., F, Calgary,
ALB) - Registered two goals and three assists in a 2-0 week.
Recorded two goals and an assist in a NE-10 win over Stonehill.
Notched two assists in a victory over Nichols.
Northeast-10 Co-Goaltenders of the Week
Shane Brooks, Southern New Hampshire (So., G, Kennebunk, Maine) -
Stopped 36 of the 39 shots faced (.923 save percentage) in an 8-3
win over Nichols.
Mike Manna, Stonehill (Fr., G, Framingham, Mass.) - Recorded a 4-3
win over Assumption to improve to 1-1-0. Made 31 saves to seal the
Skyhawks' first NE-10 victory.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Ryan Butler, Saint Anselm (Fr., F, Arlington, Mass.) - Recorded a
hat trick in a 7-2 win over Assumption.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Patrick Fitzgibbons, Assumption (Fr., F, Holliston, Mass.) - Scored
twice and added an assist versus Stonehill.
John Burns, Saint Michael's (Jr., D, Sandwich, Mass.) - Tallied
four assists on the week, all in a 7-1 win over Franklin
Pierce.
Chris Healey, Saint Michael's (Jr., D, Salem, N.H.) - Scored twice
and added two assists in a 7-1 win over Franklin Pierce.
Ryan DiBartolomeo, Southern New Hampshire (So., F, Leominster,
Mass.) - Totaled two goals and three assists in a 2-0 week. Had a
goal and two assists against Nichols. Recorded a goal and an assist
in a win over Stonehill.
Brendan O’Brien, Stonehill (Jr., F, Braintree, Mass.) -
Scored a game-winning powerplay goal with 2:17 remaining to break a
3-3 tie against Assumption. The goal led Stonehill to their first
conference victory of the season.
John Sommers, Stonehill (So., F, Manchester, Conn.) – Netted
an opening score in the 4-3 win over Assumption and struck first
again versus Southern New Hampshire, scoring a first period goal
and adding another goal later in the game.
Weekly Notes:
FRANKLIN PIERCE: Senior captain Joe Fields became the
school’s all-time leading scorer with his 68th career point
on Wednesday against Nichols, breaking a tie with former teammate
Brian DelSavio ‘07. Fields also ranks second in assists (40)
and third in goals (28) all-time at Franklin Pierce.
