Northeast-10 Players of the Week

Jonathan Joshua, Le Moyne (Jr., G, Inglewood, CA) - Averaged 19 points, seven rebounds and two assists in a 2-0 week. Scored 23 points, including six 3-pointers, and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 61-54 victory at Stonehill in the Northeast-10 First Round.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Laurence Ekperigin, Le Moyne (Fr., F, Cortlandt Manor, NY) - Averaged 15 points, nine rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots in a 2-0 week. Made 14-of-19 from the field for the week (73.7%) and handed out three assists. In a 61-54 win over Stonehill in the Northeast-10 First Round, scored 19 points and recorded 10 rebounds.


Weekly Honor Roll:

Greg Twomey, Assumption (Jr., G, Groton, MA) - Averaged 13.5 points, six rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals last week. Scored 18 points (5-6 FT) with three rebounds, three assists, and three steals versus Bentley. Had nine points, nine rebounds, and two assists at Saint Michael’s in the Northeast-10 First Round.

Magen McNeil, American International (Sr., F, Philadelphia, PA) - Averaged 14 points and 14 rebounds, while registering a pair of double-doubles in a 1-1 week. Totaled 18 points and 13 rebounds, while going 8-of-13 from the floor in the Northeast-10 First Round victory over Merrimack.

Nate Fritsch, Bentley (Jr., F, Durham, NC) - Had 21 points, seven rebounds and three blocks in an 82-71 win at Assumption. Made seven of 15 shots overall and was 5-of-5 at the line.

Jon Ezeokoli, Bryant (Jr., G, South Orange, NJ) - Scored 21 points and recorded eight rebounds in a 74-69 win over Merrimack. Shot 6-for-14 from the field and made 8-of-9 free throws as well as dishing out four assists.

Darryl Minnifield, Franklin Pierce (Sr., G, Boston, MA) - Averaged 13 points, nine rebounds, two assists, 2.5 steals and a block in a 1-1 week. Shot 42.9-percent (9-of-21) from the field for the week. Scored 18 points and had ten rebounds along with four assists against Saint Michael's. Collected eight points, eight rebounds and four steals against Saint Anselm in the Northeast-10 First Round.

Ali Kanaan, UMass Lowell (Fr., C, Montreal, QUE) - In the season finale win (92-76) over Southern Connecticut, scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and four assists while shooting 9-of-13 from the floor, 4-of-4 from 3-point range and 3-of-4 from the free throw line.

Ryan Williams, Pace (Jr., G, Centreville, VA) - In a win over American International, tallied 16 points, six rebounds, three assists and four steals.

Giovanni Carenza, Saint Anselm (Fr., F, East Hanover, NJ) - Averaged 11 points and 7.5 rebounds last week, along with two assists and two blocks. Scored 10 points and had 10 rebounds in a loss to Stonehill and then scored 12 points and added five rebounds, two assists and two blocks in an Northeast-10 First Round win over Franklin Pierce.

Chris Vetrano, Saint Anselm (Jr., G, Andover, MA) - Averaged 16.5 points, 2.5 assists, and one steal in a 1-1 week. Scored 14 points in a loss to Stonehill and then tallied 19 points in the Northeast-10 First Round win over Franklin Pierce.

Brian Monahan, Saint Michael's (Jr., F, Kinderhook, NY) - Averaged 15.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and one steal in a 1-1 week. Tallied 19 points and 13 rebounds versus Assumption, and added 12 points (6-9 FG) at Franklin Pierce.

Brendan Mullins, Saint Michael's (Sr., G, Downers Grove, IL) - Averaged 18.5 points (14-16 FT), four rebounds, 3.5 assists and two steals in a 1-1 week. Netted 26 points (10-10 FT) at Franklin Pierce, and tallied 11 points and six assists and four steals versus Assumption.

Tyrese Sullivan, Southern Connecticut (Gr., G, New Haven, CT) - Shot 50-percent from the floor, going 8-for-16 for 24 points. Hit 4-of-10 three pointers and 4-of-5 from the free throw line. Also had two assists, two steals and two rebounds against UMass Lowell.

Paul Chergey, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., F, Bow, NH) - Totaled 20 points, seven rebounds and three blocks in a season-ending loss to Le Moyne. Made 4-of-6 three-pointers.

Lance Clarke, Stonehill (Sr., G, Cambridge, MA) - Averaged 13.5 points, three assists and 2.5 rebounds in 1-1 week. Scored 16 points and recorded five boards in a 61-54 Northeast-10 First Round setback to LeMoyne.

Soap Toun, Stonehill (Sr., G, Cranston, RI) - Averaged 13.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 1-1 week. Scored 14 points in a 61-54 Northeast-10 First Round setback to LeMoyne and had 13 points and five boards in a 81-70 victory at Saint Anselm. Shot 50 percent (8-16) from field for week.

Weekly Notes:

BENTLEY: Bentley completed the first undefeated regular season in school, Northeast-10 and New England Division II history, extending its record to 26-0 with an 82-71 win at Assumption. The Falcons became the fourth NE-10 team to complete the conference schedule unbeaten (Saint Anselm, 16-0 in 1995-96, was the last) and set a record by winning the conference by seven games. In the NE-10 playoffs, Bentley and Saint Anselm will meet for the sixth straight year and the 15th time since 1985. Bentley's 26-game winning streak matches the longest in school and New England Division II history, set by the Falcons 35 years ago.
