Le Moyne's Tarr Named Player and Defensive Player of the Year; Merrimack's Rogowski earns Freshman honors; Le Moyne's Corcoran earns top goalkeeper honors, Sheehan is Coach of the Year

South Easton, Mass. ? For the first time in conference history, senior Travis Tarr of Le Moyne College has been named Northeast-10 Men's Lacrosse Player and Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

Tarr, led the Dolphins to a 14-0 regular season record and a perfect 10-0 mark against Northeast-10 competition. Last year, Tarr became the first player to be named the USILA Outstanding Player for Division II and Outstanding Defensive Player, the Northeast-10 Player of the Year, Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year and the Northeast-10 Conference Championship MVP in the same season.

Merrimack attack Greg Rogowski has been named Freshman of the Year. He led the conference in goals (66), assists (33) assists and points (99). His 99 points lead all of Division II. In 10 conference contests, Rogowski scored 48 goals and recorded 28 assists for 76 points, all league highs.

For the third consecutive year, Le Moyne senior Jared Corcoran has been tabbed as Goalkeeper of the Year after posting a perfect 14-0 mark. Corcoran led the conference with a 3.86 goals against average and a .664 save percentage. The defending national goalkeeper of the year finished the regular season with six-consecutive honors as the conference goalkeeper of the week.

Le Moyne Head Coach Dan Sheehan earned the Coach of the Year Honor for the sixth time in the last seven seasons as the Dolphin mentor. Sheehan guided the Dolphins to their seventh-straight NE-10 Regular Season title and in the process has led Le Moyne to 70 consecutive conference wins. The Dolphins are searching for their sixth-straight conference tournament title.

The Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team included Tarr, Rogowski and Corcoran along with Chris Elia of Merrimack, Steve Coppinger, Tim Duffany and Andrew Hennessey of Bryant University, John Delanoy of Southern New Hampshire University and Mike McDonald, Matt Cassalia and Chris Doran of Le Moyne.

The Northeast-10 All-Conference Second Team included Brian Cost, Jason Longo, Alex Bily, Craig Rosecrans and Chris Moore of Le Moyne, Matt McKeefrey of Bryant, Thomas Fennel of Merrimack, Mike Hutnick of Southern New Hampshire, Steve Moriarty of Pace University, Kevin Simmons of Saint Michael's College and Chris Bird of Assumption College.
