KAUFMANN AND ROGOWSKI NAMED
NORTHEAST-10 Co-PLAYERS OF THE YEAR

South Easton, Mass. – Bryant University’s sophomore attack Bryan Kaufmann (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) and Merrimack College’s sophomore attack Greg Rogowski (Cohoes, N.Y.) were named the 2007 Northeast-10 Men’s Lacrosse Co-Players of the Year as voted by the conferences 10 coaches.

Kaufmann helped lead the Bulldogs to their first ever Northeast-10 Regular Season Championship and to the Northeast-10 Championship game. Rogowski helped lead the Warriors to their ninth trip to the Northeast-10 Tournament this season. Kaufmann (44-20-64) and Rogowski (42-17-59) are ranked number one and two respectively in the conference in scoring. Both players were named to the All Conference First-Team

Another Bulldog receiving postseason accolades is freshman defender Matt Murnane (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) who was named the Northeast-10 Freshman of the Year along with being named to the All Conference Second-Team. Murnane is among the conference leaders in ground balls (61) and was part of a Bryant defense that surrendered only 7.91 goals per game.

Pace University’s junior specialist Steve Moriarty (Wantagh, N.Y.) was named the Defensive Player of the Year and was named to the All Conference First-Team. Moriarty recorded 56 ground balls and caused 11 turnovers this season.

For the fourth straight season, Le Moyne’s senior goalkeeper Jared Corcoran (Concord, N.H.) has been selected as the Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Year. Corcoran has a conference best goal against average of 4.57, a save percentage of .601 and has made 86 saves this season. He was also selected to the All Conference First Team.

Bryant’s Mike Pressler and Saint Anselm’s Rick Senatore were voted Co-Coaches of the Year in a vote by their peers. Pressler led the Bulldogs to their first ever Northeast-10 Regular Season title with a 9-0-conference record and to the Northeast-10 Championship game. Senatore guided the Hawks to an appearance in the Northeast-10 championship for the first time since 2003.

Joining Corcoran, Kaufmann, Moriarty and Rogowski on the All Conference First-Team is Bryant’s Corey MacDougall and Bryan Molk, Le Moyne’s Matt Cassalia, Mike McDonald and Tim MacLean. Also selected from Saint Michael’s College is Mark Agostinelli and Kevin Simmons.

Joining Murnane on the All Conference Second-Team are teammates Kevin Hoagland and Jim Long and Le Moyne’s Brian Cost, Tom Donahue, Brian Griffin and Matt Juriga. Also selected was Merrimack’s Mike Miano, Saint Michael’s Greg Lazarus and Jeff Hannon and Southern New Hampshire University’s John Delanoy.
