Northeast-10 Player and Goalkeeper of the Week

Michael Kennedy, Bryant (Sr., G, Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) - Was named the Most Outstanding Player in leading Bryant to its first NE-10 Conference tournament title. Made 10 saves in a win over Merrimack in the semifinals and followed with a nine-save performance in the win over Le Moyne in the finals.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Jack Venditti, Le Moyne (Fr., A, Baldwinsville, N.Y.) - Recorded five goals and one assist during the Northeast-10 Tournament, as the Dolphins reached the NE-10 Championship game.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Andy Curtis, Bentley (Jr., A, Chelmsford, Mass.) - Scored a goal and added two assists in the NE-10 Quarterfinals at Merrimack.

Gary Crowley, Bryant (Fr., M, Scituate, Mass.) - Scored three goals and added two assists in helping Bryant to its first NE-10 Conference Tournament title this past week. Had a goal and two assists in a win over Merrimack in the NE-10 semifinals and followed with two goals in a win over Le Moyne.

Matt McKeefrey, Bryant (Jr., A, Melville, N.Y.) - Helped lead Bryant to its first-ever Northeast-10 Conference Championship this weekend with three goals and two assists in two games. Had a pair of assists in a win over Merrimack in the semifinals and notched three goals including the game-winner versus Le Moyne.

Michael Balbuena, Merrimack (Fr., A, Falmouth, Mass.) - Scored four times and helped on one other in a 1-1 week.

Chris Elia, Merrimack (Sr., A, East Lyme, Conn.) - Scored three goals dished out two assists in a 1-1 week.

Greg Rogowski, Merrimack (Jr., A, Cohoes, N.Y.) - Netted five goals and three assists last week in two games.

Chris Murphy, Saint Anselm (Jr., A, Winchester, Mass.) - Scored three goals in an 8-6 loss at Saint Michael's in the quarterfinals of the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament.

Mike Boerma, Saint Michael's (Sr., A, Concord, Mass.) – Had a hand in all eight goals, in an 8-6 win over Merrimack in the quarterfinals with three goals and five assists.

Jeff Hannon, Saint Michael's (Sr., G, Wilbraham, Mass.) - In a quarterfinal win over Merrimack and semifinal setback at Le Moyne, stopped 26 shots, including 16 versus the Dolphins.

Weekly Notes:

BRYANT: Bryant earned its first-ever berth in the NCAA tournament thanks to a 5-4 win over top-ranked Le Moyne in Sunday's final. The Bulldogs will travel to Le Moyne May 17 for the NCAA semifinals. Bryant won the regular season title in 2007 and this is the first conference tournament title for the Bulldogs. The 14 wins this season for Bryant sets a new school record.

SAINT MICHAEL’S: With a goal against Le Moyne in the conference semifinals on Friday, senior Greg Lazarus (Evanston, Ill.) equaled the all-time mark for career goals at Saint Michael's (109). Lazarus also leaves the Purple Knights with the single-season scoring record of 46 goals in his junior season. Senior goalkeeper Jeff Hannon (Wilbraham, Mass.) ended his career at Saint Michael's as the winningest net-minder with a record of 32-25 over four years. With four straight winning seasons, the goalkeeper amassed a .550 save-percentage and 9.09 goals-against average between the pipes.
