Franklin Pierce Claims Third Straight Regular Season Title;
Earn Top Seed in NE-10 Championship

South Easton, Mass. – The Ravens of Franklin Pierce
University have earned the top seed in the upcoming Northeast-10
Men’s Soccer Championship presented by Select Sport
America.
The Ravens finished 11-0-2 in NE-10 action to claim the
team’s third straight Northeast-10 Regular Season title. The
University of Massachusetts Lowell River Hawks (10-2-1, NE-10) will
be the second seed in the championship, while Southern Connecticut
State University (9-1-3) claimed the third seed.
Le Moyne College (9-2-2, NE-10) followed as the fourth seed. The
top four seeds will host a quarterfinal contest.
The final four seeds are as followed; Merrimack College (6-4-3,
NE-10) will be the fifth seed, Saint Michael’s College
(5-4-4, NE-10) is the sixth, Bryant University (6-7-0, NE-10)
claimed the seventh seed, while Southern New Hampshire University
(5-6-2, NE-10) secured the eighth and final slot.
Quarterfinal matches include #6 Saint Michael’s at #3
Southern Connecticut and #5 Merrimack at #4 Le Moyne at 1 p.m. on
Sunday, October 28. #7 Bryant is at #2 UMass Lowell for a 5 p.m.
contest, while #1 Franklin Pierce hosts #8 Southern New Hampshire
at 6 p.m.
The semifinal round will take place on Wednesday, October 1 with
winner of Merrimack/Le Moyne taking on the winner of Southern New
Hampshire/Franklin Pierce and the winner of Saint
Michael’s/Southern Connecticut matching up against the winner
of Bryant/UMass Lowell.
The championship game is slated for 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 3
at the highest remaining seed.
Sponsoring 23 championship sports and 15 full-time members, the
Northeast-10 is the second largest NCAA Division II athletic
conference in the nation and sponsors the most championships of any
Division II conference.
