Northeast-10 Player and Freshman of the Week

Jason Allegretti, Stonehill (Fr., No. 4 singles, Lincoln, RI) - Posted perfect 8-0 combined mark in singles and doubles play in four dual-match wins, including straight-set singles triumphs over AIC, Southern New Hampshire and Saint Michael's as well as decisive three-set win over Bentley. Added four victories at No. 2 doubles spot.

Jared Dorfman, Assumption (Fr., No. 4 singles, Providence, RI) - Won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 singles versus Bentley.

Michael Goldman, Assumption (Sr., No. 1 singles, Worcester, MA) - Won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 singles versus Bentley.

Rich Lieberman, Assumption (So., No. 5 singles, East Haddam, CT) - Won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5 singles and teamed with Steve Tlumacki to win 8-4 at No. 3 doubles versus Bentley.

Antonio Recalde, Assumption (So., No. 2 singles, Ciudad del Este, Paraguary) - Won 2-6, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and teamed with Matt Stopp to win 8-2 at No. 2 doubles versus Bentley.

Matt Stopp, Assumption (Jr., No. 3 singles, Altoona, PA) - Won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 singles and teamed with Antonio Recalde to win 8-2 at No. 2 doubles versus Bentley.

Steve Tlumacki, Assumption (Fr., No. 6 singles, Holliston, MA) - Won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6 singles and teamed with Rich Lieberman to win 8-4 at No. 3 doubles versus Bentley.

Zach Goodman, Bryant (Jr., No. 3 singles, Amherst, MA) - Went 2-1 with a pair of conference wins at No. 3 singles.

Austin Gardella, Franklin Pierce (So., No. 3 singles, Norwalk, CT) - Posted a combined 2-2 record over two events for Franklin Pierce. Registered a 7-6, 4-6, 7-5 victory at No. 3 singles against Merrimack after combining for an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles.

Diego Palacios, Pace (Jr., No. 2 singles, Pleasantville, NY) - At No. 2 Singles, beat AIC 6-2, 6-1. Beat Caldwell, 6-1, 6-4 and Southern New Hampshire, 6-1, 7-6 (8-6).

Paul Kosinski, Pace (Jr., No. 1 singles, Staten Island, NY) - Against AIC, won 6-3, 6-0. Against Caldwell went 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 and beat Southern New Hampshire, 7-5, 6-3.

Marko Prljevic, Pace (Sr., No. 3 singles, Belgrade, Serbia) - Dominated play at No. 3 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0 against American International and Caldwell. Was 6-1, 6-1 against Southern New Hampshire.

Sean Steigerwald, Saint Michael's (Fr., No. 5 singles, North Andover, MA) - Posted a straight set win in No. 6 singles versus Southern New Hampshire, a 6-4, 6-2 singles victory at Stonehill, and a doubles win in a tiebreaker against Bryant.

STONEHILL: Stonehill reached double-digits in the win column for the second time in three seasons and for the third time in school history last week, tying the school single-season record for victories (11) with Sunday's triumph over Saint Michael's. The Skyhawks have posted a 64-17 combined singles and doubles mark in conference play to date, including a 32-7 (.821) doubles slate. Freshmen Jason Allegretti (Lincoln, RI) and Will Herchel (Hampden, MA) are a combined 36-7 (.837) in singles and doubles action to date for Stonehill? BRYANT: The Bryant men's tennis team went 2-1 last week, falling to Mercy on Monday but picking up conference wins over Merrimack and Saint Michael's. Ben Caisse (Griswold, CT) and Al Duro (Braintree, MA) are both undefeated in conference matches at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively.
