Northeast-10 Player of the Week

John Seaward, Merrimack (Jr., No. 2 Singles/No. 1 Doubles, Pomfret, Conn.) - Was 6-0 this past week, winning three singles matches and three doubles. Led the Warriors to a 5-4 victory over Bentley, winning singles match 6-1, 6-3. Did not lose a set this past week.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Cristian Balestrieri, Bryant (Fr., No. 1 Singles/Double, Mar Del Plata, Argentina) - Came up with a pair of wins at No. 1 singles this past week. Won versus American International 6-0, 6-0, and earned a straight-set win Stonehill in the team’s 6-3 win. Scores were 7-6 (8-6), 6-1. Also had an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Alex Dos Santos, American International (Fr., No. 4 Singles) - Went 4-2 this past week with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Southern New Southern New Hampshire before winning in doubles aside Robert Dulfan 8-3. Was also 2-0 against Albertus Magnus, winning 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 3 singles slot before winning in doubles 8-0.

Miles Holman, Bentley (Jr., No. 1 Singles/No. 2 Doubles, East Longmeadow, Mass.) - Went 4-0 last week, winning matches at top-flight singles and second doubles against Merrimack and Saint Anselm.

Scott Rosen, Bentley (So., No. 4 Singles/No. 2 Doubles, Sharon, Mass.) - Went 3-0 last week, winning a doubles match against Merrimack and both singles and doubles matches against Saint Anselm.

Chris Schoder, Bentley (Fr., No. 6 Singles, Weston, Fla.) - Went 2-0 last week, winning singles matches against Merrimack and Saint Anselm.

Thomas Nowak, Bryant (Jr., No. 2 Singles/Doubles, Medfield, Mass.) - Came up with two singles wins and was 1-for-1 in doubles play last week. Had a 6-2, 6-2, win against American International and came through with a three-set win over Stonehill in the team’s 6-3 win. Teamed with Jose Rodriguez for a 9-7 win at No. 2 doubles versus Stonehill.

Tim McHugh, Merrimack (Fr., No. 5 Singles/No. 3 Doubles, Edgartown, Mass.) - Posted a 6-0 record this past week; 3-0 in both singles and doubles. Won his doubles match against Bentley 9-8 and did not lose a set this week.

John Lescure, Saint Michael's (Jr., No. 1 Singles/Doubles, Kennebunk, Maine) – In an 8-1 team win over American International, registered an 8-2 doubles win.

Luis Ramirez, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., No. 2 Singles/No. 1/2 Doubles, San Cristobal, Venezuela) - Posted two wins at No. 2 singles, one win at No. 1 doubles and one win at No. 2 doubles in a 1-1 week.

David Spaggiari, Southern New Hampshire (So., No. 1 Singles/ Doubles, Manizales, Colombia) - Posted a 2-0 record at No. 1 singles and a 2-0 record at No. 1 doubles during a win over American International and a loss to Suffolk.

Mike Leone, Stonehill (So., No. 4/5 Singles/No. 2/3 Doubles, Cataumet, Mass.) - Finished 5-0 (2-0 Singles/3-0 Doubles) this past week. Won against Connecticut College in straight sets and defeated Bryant 7-5, 2-6, 7-5 at fifth singles.

John McGaffigan, Stonehill (Sr., No. 4/5/6th Singles/No. 3 Doubles, Dedham, Mass.) - Completed a 5-1 week (2-1 singles, 3-0 doubles). Defeated Bryant 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 and claimed three wins at third singles, 8-0, 8-4, 8-5.
