Northeast-10 Player and Freshman of the Week

Cristian Balestrieri, Bryant (Fr., No. 1 Singles/Doubles, Mar Del Plata, Argentina) -
Helped lead Bryant to the men’s conference title with a pair of singles wins at No. 1 and three doubles wins this past week. Defeated Le Moyne 6-0, 6-1 in the quarterfinals and defeated Stonehill 6-3, 6-3 in the finals.


Weekly Honor Roll:

Brian Barnett, Bentley (Fr., No. 3 Doubles, Ocoee, Fla.) - Won his doubles match in the NE-10 Quarterfinals at Saint Michael's.

Jon Scher, Bentley (Fr., No. 3 Doubles, Harrisburg, Pa.) - Won his doubles match in the NE-10 Quarterfinals at Saint Michael's.

Tom Nowak, Bryant (So., No. 3 Singles/Doubles, Medfield, Mass.) - Helped lead Bryant to the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with three doubles wins and two singles victories last week. Posted a 7-5, 6-2 win over Stonehill to clinch the title match.

William Herchel, Stonehill (Jr., No. 4 Singles/No. 2 Doubles, Hampden, Mass.) - Finished 3-0 this past week with two wins at second doubles and a game-ending win at No. 4 singles over Southern New Hampshire, 5-0.

Mike Leone, Stonehill (So., No. 5 Singles/No. 3 Doubles, Cataumet, Mass.) - Finished 3-1 this past week with a two wins at third singles and one at fifth singles in the Northeast-10 Tournament.

John McGaffigan, Stonehill (Sr., No. 6 Singles/No. 3 Doubles, Dedham, Mass.) - Finished 3-1 this past week with two wins at third singles and one win at sixth singles in the Northeast-10 Tournament.
