Northeast-10 Player Freshman of the Week

Jose Rodriguez, Bryant (Fr., No. 3, Trujillo, Peru) - Became Bryant's first freshman to win the ITA East Regional Championship, knocking off Kutztown in the finals of B Singles by a score of 7-5, 6-2. Posted four wins to earn a spot in the finals.


Weekly Honor Roll:

Michael Dolan, Bentley (Jr., Doubles, Shrewsbury, Mass.) - Went 4-1 in doubles play this past week, winning at No. two doubles in the win at Southern New Hampshire, then reaching the semifinals of the ITA East Regional Tournament.

Scott Rosen, Bentley (So., No. 3 Doubles, Sharon, Mass.) - Won his doubles match to help Bentley to a 5-4 win at Southern New Hampshire on Thursday.

Jon Scher, Bentley (Fr., No. 6 Singles, No. 3 Doubles , Harrisburg, Pa. ) - Won at both singles and doubles to help Bentley to a 5-4 win at Southern New Hampshire.

Patrick Schorno, Bentley (Sr., Singles, Fishkill, N.Y.) - Went 3-1 in singles this past week. Won at No. three singles in the win at Southern New Hampshire, then advanced to the Round of 16 at the ITA East Regional.

Celestino Sepulveda, Bentley (Sr., B Singles/B Doubles, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) - Won his opening round matches in both singles and doubles at the ITA East Regional this past weekend.

Stephen Sparks, Bentley (So., Singles/Doubles, Wakefield, Mass.) - Went 5-2 overall this past week. Won at No. four singles and No. two doubles to help Bentley to a 5-4 win at Southern New Hampshire, then reached the semifinals of the "B" doubles draw at the ITA East Regional.

Tim McHugh , Merrimack (Fr.,Singles/Doubles, Edgartown, Mass.) – Won his singles match 6-1, 4-1 (ret) and doubles 8-1 in the win versus Southern New Hampshire.

Adam Wilding, Merrimack ( Jr., No. 1 Singles, Lewiston, Maine) - In the No. one singles position, captured his singles match 6-1, 6-4 and his doubles match 8-4, in a 9-0 victory over Southern New Hampshire.

Craig Lindaberry, Saint Michael's (So., No. 5 , Washington, N.J. ) - Won his singles match 6-0, 6-1 and his doubles match 8-1 helping Saint Michael's to a 6-3 win over Southern New Hampshire.

BRYANT: Jose Rodriguez became Bryant's first freshman to win the ITA East Regional Championship, Bryant and Northeast-10 Hall of Famer Roman Pavlik '97 was Bryant's last winner.
