Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Jachael Guanci, UMass Lowell (Jr., OF, Everett, MA) – Batted
.462, slugged 1.000 and maintained an on-base rate of .500 in a 4-0
week. Drove in 11 runs, scored six, and cracked a grand slam and a
two-run home run. Opened the week going 3-for-7 with three runs and
three RBI in a 6-5, 9-6 sweep of Franklin Pierce. Ended the week
hitting 3-for-6 with eight RBI, a two-run home run and a grand slam
in a 6-1, 9-0 sweep of Pace.
Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Week
Amanda Pindar, Southern Connecticut (So., SP, New Britain, CT)
– Had an 0.00 ERA picking up two wins this past week. Came in
relief in a 3-1 win over Le Moyne, then picked up the win in a 5-4
victory over Bryant. Pitched eight innings allowing only four hits
while striking out five.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Megan Lemire, Saint Anselm (Fr., SP, Worcester, MA) - Hit .429 and
picked up a win in game two against Stonehill. Hit three home runs
in the twinbill, including a game-winning two-run homer in the
ninth inning in a 3-1 victory. Scored three runs, had four RBI,
finished with 12 total bases and had a 1.714 slugging percentage.
Pitched nine innings to earn the win, giving up one earned run on
five hits with four strikeouts.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Kellie Brown, American International (So. , OF , Gill, MA) - Batted
.571 (4-7) in a twinbill with Assumption. Recorded three hits in a
5-2 win.
Sarah Swepston, American International (Fr., SP, Dallas, PA) -
Picked up a win over Assumption, allowing two runs (one earned)
while scattering six hits.
Stefanie Capone, Assumption (Sr., 1B, Lincoln, RI) - Went 2-for-6
with two RBI, a home run, and a run scored in a doubleheader
against American International. Hit the game-tying home run in the
fourth inning as part of a 1-for-3 day in game one.
Meghan DiVitto, Assumption (Fr., OF, Milford, MA) - Went 2-for-5 in
a doubleheader against American International, including the
game-winning RBI double in game one.
Elizabeth Mucica, Assumption (So., SP, Tewksbury, MA) - Earned a
win in game one versus American International, going 5.1 innings,
six hits, an earned run, a walk, and three strike outs.
Janine Enos, Bryant (Jr., SP, Wareham, MA) - Was 2-0 in two
appearances this past week with a 0.93 ERA. In 15 innings, struck
out seven and only allowed two earned runs. Threw a complete game
shutout over Southern Connecticut and got the win in a 3-2 extra
inning game with C.W. Post.
Nikki Ingalls, Bryant (Sr., SP, Westford, MA) - Was 1-2 this past
week with an impressive 0.48 ERA. Pitched 14.2 innings and struck
out seven. Threw a complete game shutout over Franklin Pierce.
Jessica Valentini, Bryant (Jr., 3B, Cliffside Park, NJ) - In a 4-2
week, hit .563 and slugged .750, while scoring seven runs and
driving in two more. Had nine hits, including three doubles and had
a .650 on base percentage.
Amanda Wilbur, Bryant (Sr., OF, Lakeville, MA) - Wilbur hit .450
with seven RBI this week. She led the Bulldogs to a 4-2 week. Her
walk off home run Saturday defeated Franklin Pierce 8-0. She was
second on the team in RBI (7) for the week and led in total bases
(15). She also played perfect defense in center field and stole a
base.
Emma Murphy, Le Moyne (Jr., 1B, East Syracuse, NY) - Went
four-for-six with a home run, two runs batted in, and two runs
scored in a doubleheader split at Southern Connecticut. Went
three-for-three with a home run, two runs batted in and two runs
scored in the victory over Southern Connecticut.
Sarah Reed, Le Moyne (Jr., SP, DeWitt, NY) - Pitched a five inning
shutout with one strike out while scattering five hits in an 8-0
victory over Southern Connecticut.
Lindsay Farmer, UMass Lowell (Fr., P, Lowell, MA) –Scattered
nine hits, six runs (all earned), eight walks and 11 strikeouts in
a 2-0 week. Opened the week allowing eight walks, three hits and
six runs while striking out five in a 9-6 win over Franklin Pierce.
Capped the week yielding six hits, no runs and no walks while
fanning six in a 9-0 win over Pace.
Jessica Dempsey, Southern Connecticut (Jr., SP, Stratford, CT) - In
the 1-0 loss to Bryant, had a no hitter going into the fifth inning
before giving up three hits for the rest of the game. Posted a 0.78
ERA while recording one complete game and one save. In nine innings
pitched, struck out 10 batters and gave up five hits and one
walk.
Sandra Lawton, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., OF, Woburn, MA) - Went
3-for-6 with two homeruns, four RBI and two runs scored in a
doubleheader split with C.W. Post. Went 3-for-3 with a solo homerun
and a game-winning three-run homerun in a 9-7 victory over the
Pioneers.
Kait Mendall, Stonehill (Fr., SP, Middleboro, MA) - Scattered three
hits and struck out three to pick up the win in a 4-3 win over
Saint Anselm.
