Northeast-10 Player and Freshman of the Week

Casey Stoodley, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., 3B, Salem, N.H.) - Batted .500 (9-18) with three home runs and nine RBI in six games last week. Belted a grand slam in a 12-11 loss to nationally-ranked C.W. Post. Also had two doubles as five of nine hits went for extra bases.

Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Week

Tracy Chesebrough, Saint Rose (Jr., SP, Duanesburg, N.Y.) - Did not allow a single run in three outings this past week, thus chalking up three complete game shutouts for a 0.00 ERA. Scattered five hits (one extra base hit), fanned 39 batters without issuing a walk and limited opponents to a .070 batting average in 22 innings of work. In a 9-0 win at Pace, recorded 13 strikeouts and spun a one-hitter. In a nine inning 1-0 victory versus Bryant, piled up 13 strikeouts and took a no-hitter into the eighth before yielding just two hits in the game. Finally, struck out eight of the games first 10 batters en route to 13 strikeouts in a 1-0 triumph over Stonehill.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Kellie Brown, American International (Jr., 1B, Gill, Mass.) – Hit .500 in six games played this past week. Had 12 hits, five runs scored and a pair of RBI in that span.

Tara DeMontier, American International (Sr., 3B, Amesbury, Mass.) - Batted .409 with four extra base hits, two doubles, seven RBI, four run scored and two long balls. Slugged .773 while posting a .458 on base percentage.

Ashley Bilodeau, Assumption (Fr., DH, Manchester, Conn.) - Batted .409 (9-for-22, 2 RS, 2 HRs, 3 RBIs) and slugged .682 (15 TB) last week. Went 2-for-5 with a home run in a doubleheader at Le Moyne, 2-for-2 with a home run in game two versus New York Tech, and 3-for-7 with the game-winning RBI coming in game 1 in a doubleheader split at Bentley.

Christine D'Amico, Bentley (Fr., DH, Shrewsbury, Mass.) - Hit .476 (10-21) during a 4-4 week with six runs scored, four RBI and four doubles, missing one game due to injury. Had a .542 on base percentage and a .667 slugging percentage while extending hitting streak to 13 games. Was 4-for-6 in a doubleheader with Assumption and 3-for-7 against Franklin Pierce, and had three RBI vs.
Southern Connecticut.

Kelsey Vella, Bentley (Fr., SP, Hampden, Mass.) - Was 3-1 with a 1.50 ERA in four starts, including first career shutout (7-0 vs. Franklin Pierce). Held opposing hitters to a .174 average, walked six and struck out ten in 23.1 innings. Recorded a 2-1 win over Post and was part of a 5-0 combined shutout against Assumption.

Janine Enos, Bryant (Sr., SP, Wareham, Mass.) - Was a combined 3-1 on the week with a 1.22 ERA. Tossed two shutouts including a no-hitter against UMass-Lowell. Also collected two saves at Merrimack and against Le Moyne. Struck out 24 batters in 28.2 innings.

Emily Griffin, Franklin Pierce (Fr., 2B, Leominster, Mass.) - Led the Ravens with a .343 batting average (12-for-35), six RBI, four doubles, one triple, three runs scored and a .514 slugging percentage as the team went 3-7 last week. Had four multi-hit games in the week, including a combined 5-for-7 effort with three doubles and two RBI in a doubleheader split versus Pace.

Caitlin O'Neill, Le Moyne (Jr., 3B, Pittsford, N.Y.) - Hit .524 at the plate for the Dolphins in a 6-0 week. Drove in four RBI and scored three times.

Jenna Vanacore, Le Moyne (Fr., SP, Hicksville, N.Y.) - Earned four wins in the circle for the Dolphins in a 6-0 week. Posted a 4-0 record with a 0.58 ERA in five appearances. Pitching 24 innings, allowed 17 hits and struck out 31 with three complete games. Held the opponent to a .207 batting average.

Kiryl Shada, Pace (Jr., SP, Pleasant Prairie, Wis.) - Posted a 0.89 ERA with a 2-1 record in four games, while striking out 13 in 24 1/3 innings. Tossed a complete game five-hitter, while striking out one in a 4-1 win over Assumption. Pitched a two-hit shutout in 6 1/3 innings, striking out seven earning the win over Franklin Pierce in the opener. Tossed four scoreless innings in relief, striking out four in the second game against Franklin Pierce.

Brittney Birch, Saint Anselm (Jr., C, Bradford, Mass.) - Hit .435 in a 7-3 week. Had 10 hits, five runs scored, one triple, one home run, three runs batted in, a .652 slugging percentage, a .462 on-base percentage, was 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts and had a .960 fielding percentage.

Jaclyn Giannino, Saint Anselm (Fr., OF, Beverly, Mass.) - Hit .407 in 10 games last week as the team went 7-3. In the team's final game of the week, blasted a game-tying grand slam at AIC and then won the game in the eighth with fifth RBI of the day. For the week, had 11 hits, nine runs scored, four doubles, one home run, nine runs batted in, a .667 slugging percentage, was 2-for-2 in stolen base attempts and perfect in the field.

Amanda Morano, Saint Rose (So., C, Highland, N.Y.) - Batted .529 (9-for-17) with four runs, three RBI and two doubles in a 4-2 week. Also slugged .647 and registered a .619 on base percentage. Went 4-for-7 with two runs and two RBI in a doubleheader sweep at Pace. Closed out the week by going 2-for-3 with a double and the game-winning run in a 1-0 victory over Stonehill.

Lauren Rappoli , Southern New Hampshire (Sr., SS, Wilmington, Mass.) - Hit .440 and collected 11 hits, four of which were doubles. In a win over Saint Anselm, went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI. For the week, scored five runs and 15 total bases.

Courtney Young, Stonehill (Jr., DH, Danvers, Mass.) - Batted a robust .474 in seven contests last week. Three of nine hits were doubles and drove in four runs. Had a slugging percentage of .632 and drew four walks to record a .565 on-base percentage. Of the seven games she appeared in, had multiple hits in three of them.

Weekly Notes:

BENTLEY: The Falcons 17 victories are the second most in the program's history, 15 more than last year's total, and as many as the Falcons had over the last three seasons combined. Junior Alex Hitchcock (Abington) has tied the Bentley single season record for doubles with 13.
