Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Nicole Arpin , Southern New Hampshire ( Sr. , OF , Cheshire, CT ) - Batted .462 (12-26) with four home runs and 12 RBI in a 6-2 week. Was 4-for-6 with three home runs and eight RBI, including a grand slam, in a doubleheader sweep of Molloy.

Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Week
Breanne Gleason, New Haven (Jr., SP, Bristol, Conn.) - Finished 8-2 for the week with a 1.22 ERA and 70 strikeouts. Had nine complete games and two shutouts. Pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts while allowing one earned run against Bentley. Had a complete game one-hitter with six strikeouts against Pace. Allowed no runs and five hits over seven innings against Southern Connecticut State. Also hit .355 at the plate with two home runs, eight RBI and four runs scored.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Kelcie Cashel, Le Moyne (Fr., OF, Lacona, N.Y.) - Hit .368 (7-for-19) with five runs scored, four stolen bases and three runs batted in a 6-2 week. Posted two hits and two runs scored in a 7-3 victory in the opening game of a doubleheader at American International. Recorded two hits, two runs scored, a run driven in and stole a base in the 12-4 win over UMass Lowell in the nightcap of a doubleheader.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Kellie Brown, American International (Sr., 1B, Gill, Mass.) - Batted .417 (10-24) with three doubles, one homerun, six RBI and three runs scored. Went 2-for-4, including a two-run homer, with three RBI in a 9-5 win at Saint Michael's and was 5-for-9 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in a doubleheader against Caldwell.

Ashley Bilodeau, Assumption (So., 3B, Manchester, Conn.) - In a 3-5 week, had a .435 batting average. Had 10 hits including a double and a home run. Drove in seven runs and scored eight. Defensively made 12 put outs and made 15 assists and had zero errors in eight games.

Alex Hitchcock, Bentley (Sr., SS, Abington, Mass.) - In a 2-4 week, hit .421 (8-19) with five runs scored, a double, two triples and two RBI. Had a .450 on base percentage, slugged .684, and handled 21 of 22 chances at shortstop. Had three two-hit games.

Bailey Phillips, Le Moyne (Jr., OF, Rochester, N.Y.) - Hit .400 (10-for-25) with five runs scored, three runs batted in and three stolen bases in a 6-2 week. Recorded three hits, a stolen base and a run scored in a 5-1 win at American International. Registered two hits, two runs batted in and three runs scored in the 8-1 win over Franklin Pierce. Capped the week by picking up three hits, driving in one run and scoring once in a 12-4 victory over UMass Lowell.

Jennifer Farrelly, Le Moyne (Sr., SP, Latham, N.Y.) - Went 3-1 with a 1.00 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 28 innings pitched in a 6-2 week. Struck out a career-high 13 batters in a 1-0 loss against Southern Connecticut, despite allowing just three hits. Registered eight strikeouts in back-to-back home shutouts against Franklin Pierce and UMass Lowell. Retired the final 19 batters faced against Franklin Pierce. At the plate, hit .333 (7-21) with two home runs, three runs scored and four runs batted in. Homered twice in a 3-for-4 performance, while picking up the win in the pitcher's circle against American International.

Kristen LeMay, Merrimack (So., SS, Shrewsbury, Mass.) - Hit three homers and drove in six runs, her first career homers, in the first three innings of a 14-13 loss to Saint Anselm. Batted .400 for the week with six hits in 15 at-bats.

Nicole Downs, New Haven (Jr., 3B, Seymour, Conn.) - Hit .417 this past week with six doubles, 10 runs scored and eight RBI. Had at least one hit and nine of 10 games. Went 3-for-4 with a double and run scored against Merrimack. Finished 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI against Pace. Had a game-winning, walk-off home run against Southern Connecticut State. Also was perfect in the field, recording 27 putouts and 12 assists.

Patricia Hurley, Pace (Sr., 1B, Assonet, Mass.) - Batted .438 (14-for-32) and slugged .750 with four doubles, two homeruns and 14 RBI in a 6-4 week. Went 2-for-7 with a double and two RBI in a sweep over Franklin Pierce. Went 4-for-6 with a homerun, a double, five RBI, and two runs scored in a sweep over Assumption. Went 6-for-9 with a homerun, six RBI and three runs scored in a sweep over Stonehill.

Jackie Giannino, Saint Anselm (So., 3B, Beverly, Mass.) - In 10 games this past week, hit .438 with 14 hits, including seven doubles, along with seven runs scored, one home run and eight runs batted in. Also had a .688 slugging percentage, a .471 on-base percentage, was 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts and was perfect in the field. For the week, had a hit in all 10 games and is currently on a 10-game hitting streak.

Kelly Egan, Saint Michael's (Jr., 2B, Milford, Mass.) - Batted .455 (10-for-22) in a 6-2 week. Collected 14 total bases, scored two runs, had three RBI, and had a team-high four doubles on the week. Posted a slugging percentage of .636 and an on base percentage of .455.

Ashley Harkins, Saint Michael's (Sr., OF, Colchester, Vt.) - In a 6-2 week, went 13-for-29 (.448). Also scored 11 runs, hit two home runs, drove in three runs, and collected 22 total bases over the week. Posted a .759 slugging percentage as well as a .484 on base percentage. Also scored her 31st run of the season on Sunday, setting a new single-season record.

Megan O’Connor, Saint Michael's (Sr., SP, Georgetown, Mass.) - In a 6-2 week, went 4-0 on the hill with a 1.56 ERA. All four of her wins came in complete game fashion, with one being a complete game shutout. Threw 31.1 innings over the week, allowing just seven earned runs, striking out 18 and walking just one. The opposition hit just .264 in the four starts.

Amanda Morano, Saint Rose (Jr., C, Highland, N.Y.) - Batted .423 (11-for-26) with six runs and five RBI on the strength of two doubles, a triple and a home run during a 4-4 week. Furthermore slugged .692 and registered a .464 on-base percentage. Went 3-for-4 with a run and RBI double in game two of a doubleheader at Saint Michael's. Went 2-for-3 with a double, triple and two runs in a 3-2 win at Stonehill. Then was 4-for-4 with a two-run homer in an 8-4 setback versus UMass Lowell.

Nicole Welch, Saint Rose (Sr., SP, Albany, N.Y.) - Went 4-1 with a 0.94 ERA and a pair of shutouts. Fanned 29 batters in 29.2 innings of work, surrendering just seven extra-base hits and a .223 opponent batting average. Fanned seven and walked two over the distance in a 7-2 win at Saint Michael's. Yielded just four hits in a 3-0 shutout win at Stonehill. Then fanned eight batters, walked none and surrendered an unearned run in a 3-2 win versus UMass Lowell. Struck out seven and walked one while allowing four hits in an 8-0 shutout win versus Franklin Pierce.

Melissa Vitagliano, Southern New Hampshire (So., SS, Bedford, N.H.) - Hit .440 (11-25) with three home runs and eight runs batted in in a 6-2 week. Was 5-8 with three RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Franklin Pierce and 4-6 with three RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Molloy.

Kate Brides, Stonehill (Sr., OF, West Bridgewater, Mass.) – In ten games this past week, hit .471 (16-34) with a double and a triple. Also added six runs and five RBI.


Weekly Notes:

NEW HAVEN: Junior Breanne Gleason set the mark for career strikeouts at UNH against Merrimack and now has 680 in her career. She bettered the previous mark of 614 set by Lynn Cimino.

SAINT MICHAEL’S: Senior Ashley Harkins set the single-season runs scored record on Sunday by scroing her 31st run of the season. The previous record was 30, held by Casey Brooks in 2005.
