Northeast-10 Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week

Bryan Stinchfield, Bentley (Jr., Darien, CT) - During wins over Babson and Keene State, won three individual events, participated on two winning relays, and recorded two seconds. Was victorious in the 200-yard free in both meets (1:51.56 versus Babson, 1:49.75 versus Keene), and first in the 100 free against Babson (50.81). Both seconds came at Keene, in the 100 free (50.49) and the 200 IM (2:05.43). Helped in wins in the 200-medley
relay at Keene (1:42.24) and 200 free relay at Babson (1:36.17).

Northeast-10 Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week

Arden Brust, Bentley (Jr., Newark, NY) – In a win over Babson, had victories in the 200-yard free (2:02.15), 500 free (5:28.72) and the 400-medley relay (4:16.77). Picked up a win in the 200 IM during a loss to Keene, with a time of 2:20.11. Also against Babson, was second in the 200 free (2:01.78), 200 back (2:17.02) and 200-medley
relay (1:58.42).

Northeast-10 Men’s Diving Athlete of the Week

Kyle Reese, Bentley (Jr., Hamden, CT) - Swept both diving events at Keene State, with scores of 230.55 on the one-meter and 193.57 on the three-meter. Was second in both against Babson, recording scores of 257.70 (one-meter) and 235.35 (three-meter).

Northeast-10 Women’s Diving Athlete of the Week

Ali Bronson, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Torrington, CT) - Took first and second place finishes in the one-meter and three-meter diving events. Finished with a score of 229.30 in the one-meter event and with a score of 224.20 in the three-meter event.

Northeast-10 Men’s Freshman of the Week

Mike Hoskins, Saint Michael's (Fr., Cumberland, RI) - Won two individual events in a dual-meet victory at Bryant. Took the 1,650-yard freestyle (18:44.01) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:22.63).

Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the Week

Cody Hall, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Parker, CO) - Finished in the top five in six events over the weekend at a tri-meet with West Chester and Clarion. Took third place in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:36.53 and second in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing three seconds off the leader with a time of 1:00.11. Also took third and fifth place in the 1650-yard freestyle and the 200-yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 17:56.11 in the freestyle and 2:16.27 in the backstroke. Also a member of the 800-yard freestyle relay team that took fourth place with a time of 7:54.52 and the 400-yard medley relay team that finished third out of five teams with a time of 4:08.75.


Weekly Honor Roll:

Alex Bergantz, Bentley (Fr., Trumbull, CT) - During a 1-1 week, won three of four competitions, including a sweep at Keene with scores of 2:13.35 on the one-meter and 205.25 on the three-meter. Captured the one-meter against Babson with a score of 249.23, and was second on the three-meter (214.65).

Kaitlin Chepeleff, Bentley (So., Vernon, CT) – In a 133-83 win over Babson, won the 100-yard breast (1:11.52) and 200-yard IM (2:21.22), was part of the winning 400-yard medley relay team (4:16.77). In a loss to Keene, captured the 200-yard breast in 2:35.29, finished second in the 100-yard breast (1:12.00) and was fourth in the 200-yard IM (2:23.68). Also second in the 200-yard medley relay.

Arthur Engelhard, Bentley (Jr., Apalachin, NY) - During a 2-0 week, won two individual events, finished second in another and helped in wins in three relays. Against Babson, was first in the 100-yard back (55.30) and 400-yard medley relay (3:45.27), and second in 200-yard free relay (1:36.17). At Keene, helped in wins in both relays (1:42.24 in 200-yard medley, 3:23.10 in 400-yard free), captured the 100-yard back (55.92) and finished second in the 200-yard back (2:08.41).

Jessica Looney, Bryant (Fr., Goffstown, NH) - Picked up three individual victories in a 155-107 win over Saint Michael's. Picked up a win in the 1650-yard freestyle in a time of 18:46.16 and also captured the 500-yard freestyle in 5:36.41 and the 200-yard Individual Medley by over six second in 2:20.16.

Ray Savner, Bryant (Jr., Bethlehem, CT) – Captured three wins in a 138.5-114.5 loss to Saint Michael's. Won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:55.79, the 50-yard freestyle in 23.14, and the 100-yard freestyle in 51.69.

Ricky Chidsey, Le Moyne (So., Liverpool, NY) - Won two individual events and teamed for a pair of relay wins in a dual meet loss to RIT. Helped in relay wins in the 200-yard medley and a pool-record time of 3:16.10 in the 400-yardfree. Also won the 100-yard back in 55.39 and the 200-yard breast in 2:07.27.

Alison Lesher, Le Moyne (Jr., Sherrill, NY) - Won two individual events and two relays in a dual meet win over RIT. Teamed for wins in the 200-yard medley and 400-yard free relays and topped the 1,000-yard free (10:32.49) and 100-yard butterfly (59.82).

Ryan Lowrie, Le Moyne (Jr., Johnson City, NY) - Won three individual events and teamed for a pool record relay win in a 174-124 dual meet setback to RIT. Topped the 50-yard free in 22.14, the 100-yard free in 49.04 and the 100-yard butterfly in 53.35. Also helped with a pool-record time of 3:16.10 in the 400-yard free relay.

Craig McClintock, Pace (So., Valhalla, NY) - In a dual meet against Vassar, won the 1000-yard freestyle and the 200-yard backstroke as well as being the first leg of the first-place 200-yard medley relay team.

Lindsey Burgess, Saint Michael's (Fr., Westborough, MA) - Won three individual events and a relay race at Bryant. Took the 50-yard butterfly (29.57), the 100-yard butterfly (1:04.16), and the 100-yard freestyle (58.06), and was part of the winning 200-yard medley relay team.

Laura Mann, Saint Michael's (Sr., Attleboro, MA) - Won two individual events and a relay event in a dual-meet at Bryant. Took the 50-yard breaststroke (34.01) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:16.37), and was part of the winning 200-yard medley relay team.

Mike Buyes, Saint Rose (Jr., Wappingers Falls, NY) - Took top honors in two individual events in a 48-47 victory at Adelphi. Finished first in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:51.07. Also registered a victory in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing in 5:02.92. Additionally, swam the third leg on the 200-yard freestyle relay squad that captured second place in 1:31.24.

Sean Molloy, Saint Rose (So., LaGrange, NY) - Won two individual events and was part of a winning relay squad in a 48-47 victory at Adelphi. Swam the leadoff leg on the 200-yard medley relay team that captured first in 1:43.96. Took the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:33.87 and followed with a victory in the 100-yard backstroke in 58.10.

Katie Meleg, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Danbury, CT) - Finished third in the 100- yard backstroke, at a tri-meet with West Chester and Clarion, with a time of 1:00.75, two seconds off the leader. Was also a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that finished third with a time of 1:41.17 and the 800-yard freestyle relay team that finished fourth with a time of 8:12.44.
