Northeast-10 Men’s Swimming Athlete of the
Week
Ricky Chidsey, Le Moyne (So., Liverpool, NY) - Won three
individual events (100 back, 200 back, 200 IM) and teamed for a
200-yard medley relay win in a setback at Bentley. Also won the
100-yard back (53.56), 200-yard back (1:58.76) and 200-yard IM
(2:02.45).
Northeast-10 Women’s Swimming Athlete and Freshman of
the Week
Jessica Looney, Bryant (Fr., Goffstown, NH) –Took home six
individual victories and
two relay wins in a 3-0 week. Finished first in the 1000-yard free
(11:14.59), the 200-yard back (2:14.92), 200-yard IM (2:21.71) and
the 400-yard free relay (3:54.18) in a victory
against Clark. In a double duel meet against Eastern Connecticut
State and Husson, finished first in the 400-yard medley (4:27.25),
the 100-yard back (1:04.11), the 200-yard
free (2:03.63) and 100-yard IM (1:05.99).
Northeast-10 Men’s Diving Athlete of the
Week
Kyle Reese, Bentley (Jr., Hamden, CT) - Posted scores of 165.40
and 250.85 in the two one-meter diving events in a 153-127 victory
over Le Moyne.
Northeast-10 Women’s Diving Athlete of the
Week
Alex Bergantz, Bentley (Fr., Trumbull, CT) - Captured both
one-meter diving events in a dual loss to Le Moyne, with scores of
160.05 in the first and 204.90 in the second.
Northeast-10 Men’s Freshman of the Week
John Cieslewski, Bryant (Fr., Watertown, CT) - Captured three
individual victories in Bryant's lone meet of the week. Finished
first in the 50-yard free (24.28), the 100-yard
breast (1:04.12) and the 200-yard breast (2:32.37). Also finished
first on the team that won the 200-yard medley relay.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Arden Brust, Bentley (Jr., Newark, NY) - Finished first in the
1000-yard free (11:10.40) and 200-yard back (2:16.48) in a 178-122
loss to Le Moyne. Also was second in the 100-yard individual medley
(2:20.86) and helped Bentley to a second-place finish in the
200-yard medley relay (1:56.83).
Liza Connolly, Bentley (Jr., Washington, CT) - Finished first in
the 50-yard free (25.77) and 100-yard free (56.94) in a 178-122
loss to Le Moyne. Also placed second in the 200-yard free (2:02.73)
and swam a leg in the 200-yard medley relay, helping Bentley to a
second place finish (2:20.86).
Sam Laden, Bentley (Fr., Cheshire, CT) - Finished first in both the
100-yard breast (1:02.72) and 200-yard breast (2:20.66) in a
153-127 win over Le Moyne. Also, was third in the 200-yard
individual medley (2:08.93) and a member of Bentley's 200-yard
medley relay team, which finished second in 1:40.45.
Margaret Dickinson, Bryant (Fr., West Newbury, MA) - Won three
individual events and four relay events in a 3-0 week. In a double
duel meet against Eastern Connecticut State and Husson, finished
first in the 400-yard medley relay (4:27.25), the 100-yard free
(58.23), and the 400-yard free relay (4:01.15). Finished first in
the 200-yard medley relay (2:02.00), the 50-yard free (26.99) and
the 400-yard free relay (3:54.18) against Clark.
Ray Savner, Bryant (Jr., Bethlehem, CT) - Captured two individual
wins and one relay win in Bryant's lone meet of the week. Won the
200-yard medley relay (1:47.95), the 200-yard free (1:56.72) and
the 100-yard free (49.94).
Shawn Bankey, Le Moyne (Sr., Camillus, NY) - Won two individual
events in Le Moyne's dual meet setback at Bentley. Won the 100-yard
free in 50.84 and 200-yard free in 1:53.01.
Alison Lesher, Le Moyne (Jr., Sherrill, NY) - Won two individual
events and a relay in Le Moyne's 178-122 win over Bentley. Won the
200-yard free in 2:02.35, the 100-yard fly in 1:00.97 and teamed
for a 200-yard medley relay win.
Nicole Murphy, Le Moyne (Fr., Camillus, NY) - Paced Le Moyne to a
177-128 dual meet win over Bentley with three individual wins and a
relay victory in the 200-yard medley. Won the 100-yard breaststroke
(1:10.70), 200-yard breast (2:30.83) and 200-yard IM (2:15.42).
Sean Ahern, Saint Rose (So., Burnt Hills, NY) - Swam the second leg
of the 200-yard medley relay team that took first in a time of
1:43.21 in a victory over Utica, 93-26. Also touched first in the
1,000-yard free after finishing in 10:42.59.
Craig Diaz-Albertini, Saint Rose (Fr., Sloatsburg, NY) - Swam a
1:52.57 in the 200-yard free to earn first place in a victory over
Utica, 93-26. Also swam the leadoff leg on the 200-yard free relay
squad that took top honors, clocking a time of 1:30.93.
Mary Hall, Saint Rose (Fr., Greencastle, PA) - Took first place in
the 500-yard free in a time of 5:44.49 in a 109-63 victory over
Utica.
Jenn Skeats, Saint Rose (Jr., Woodstock, NY) - Swam the leadoff leg
on the 200-yard medley relay team that took first place in a time
of 2:03.57 in a 109-63 victory over Utica. Also took top honors in
the 200-yard individual medley, touching in a time of 2:26.73.
Dan Vitagliano, Southern Connecticut (Jr., New Haven, CT) - In a
dual meet against Yale, won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:43.74 and
came back to win the 500-yard freestyle in 4:43.00.
