ALISON LESHER CAPTURES NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
IN 200 YARD BUTTERFLY AT NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

COLUMBIA, MO - Senior Alison Lesher earned an individual
national championship in the 200 yard butterfly at the 2008 NCAA
Division II Swimming & Diving Championships held in Columbia,
Missouri.
Lesher's time of 2:01.66 broke the school record and edged out UC
San Diego's Jen Sims by 0.18 seconds. The title is the first ever
individual national title in Le Moyne history.
Additionally, Lesher earned All-America honors in two other events.
She placed seventh overall in the 1000 freestyle with a time of
10:23.48, a time that shattered the college and association record.
In her final event of the championships, Lesher placed seventh once
again in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 17:24.97.
