Northeast-10 Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week
Tom Ferrigno, Bryant (Jr., West Chester, Pa.) – Led the
Bryant men to a 93-90 win over WPI with top times in the 500-yard
freestyle (4:57.57) and the 1000-yard freestyle (10:01.60). Set new
pool and school records with the win in the 500-yard free and also
with a second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (54.94).
Northeast-10 Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week
Liza Connolly, Bentley (Sr., Washington, Conn.) - In two meets, won
four individual events and helped Bentley win two of three relays.
In a triangular with Regis and Western New England, placed first in
the 100 butterfly (1:03.91), was part of the winning 200 free relay
(1:48.20) and also participated in the 200-medley relay (2nd,
2:06.38). Helped Bentley to a win over Saint Michael's with
victories in the 50 free (26.16), 100 free (57.82) and 50 fly
(28.98). Also participated on the winning 200 free relay team
(1:48.60).
Northeast-10 Men’s Diving Athlete of the Week
Jon Andrews, Bentley (Fr., Southbury, Conn.) - Swept the diving
events in a 146-103 win over Saint Michael's, with scores of 282.75
on the one-meter board and 269.35 on the three-meter.
Northeast-10 Women’s Diving Athlete of the Week
Emily Travers, Bentley (Fr., Brentwood, N.H.) - Posted scores of
200.93 on the one-meter and 218.78 on the three-meter while
competing unopposed in a triangular with Regis and Western New
England. Against Saint Michael's, was first on the three-meter
213.90 and third on the one-meter (210.70).
Northeast-10 Men’s Freshman of the Week
Steven Nguyen, Bryant (Fr., San Jose, Calif.) - Took first place in
the 100-yard backstroke (58.27) and the 200-yard IM (2:01.74) in
the 93-90 win over WPI. Also led off the winning 200-yard medley
relay team.
Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the Week
Anne Kaduboski, Bentley (Fr., Dedham, Mass.) - Won four events and
participated on three winning relays during two meets. Against
Saint Michael's, recorded winning times of 5:23.68 in the 500 free
and 1:02.45 in the 100 fly, and helped win both relays (1:59.56 in
200 medley and 1:48.60 in 200 free). Finished first in the 400 IM
(4:57.81) and 100 back (1:07.49) in a triangular with Regis and
Western New England, and also was part of Bentley's winning 200
free relay team (1:48.20).
Weekly Honor Roll:
Arden Brust, Bentley (Sr., Newark, N.Y.) - Placed first in three
individual events in a dual win over Saint Michael's, capturing the
200 free (2:03.71), 100 back (1:05.07) and 400 IM (4:56.94).
Against Regis and Western New England, was first in the 50 back
(30.21) and a member of two relay teams (200 medley, 2nd, 2:06.38,
and 200 free, 1st, 1:48.20).
Ned Krawiecki, Bentley (Sr., Bristol, Conn.) - In a 146-103 win
over Saint Michael's, won two individual events and participated on
two winning relays. Recorded times of 28.17 seconds in the 50
breaststroke and 1:02.13 in the 100 breast, helped winning efforts
of 1:41.18 in the 200 medley relay and 1:34.09 in the 200 free
relay.
Rafael Pena, Bentley (So., Cape Coral, Fla.) - Won three events and
participated on the winning 200 medley relay team (1:41.18) in a
146-103 win over Saint Michael's. Had winning times of 23.18
seconds in the 50 freestyle, 57.70 in the 100 free and 25.97 in the
50 butterfly.
John Cieslewski, Bryant (So., Watertown, Conn.) - Touched the wall
first in the 100-yard breaststroke, setting a new pool record with
a 1:04.08 mark in the 93-90 win over WPI. Also swam the second leg
of the winning 200-yard medley relay.
Jess Looney, Bryant (So., Goffstown, N.H.) - Took a first-place
finish in the 200-yard IM (2:18.00) in the104-83 win over WPI. Also
set a new pool record in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of
1:13.90.
Lisa Zanchi, Bryant (Fr., North Reading, Mass.) - Led the Bulldog
women with a pair of victories in the 104-83 win over WPI. Took top
times in the 50-yard freestyle (27.11) and the 100-yard freestyle
(59.43).
Gene Taylor, Saint Michael's (Fr., Marmora, N.J.) - In a dual meet
with Bentley, placed first in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of
52.63 while finishing third in the 50-yard freestyle (23.92) and
200-yard freestyle (1:58.93) to lead Saint Michael's.
Aidan Warhall, Saint Michael's (Fr., New Haven, Conn.) - In a dual
meet with Bentley, took home first in the men's 100-yard
breatstroke in a time of 1:04.20 and third in the 400-yard
Individual Medley in 4:48.44.
