Northeast-10 Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week

Ricky Chidsey, Le Moyne (Jr., Liverpool, N.Y.) - Set a pool record time of 1:58.95 in the 200 IM and claimed victories in the 100 backstroke & 200 medley relay in a victory over St. Lawrence.

Co-Northeast-10 Women’s Swimming Athletes of the Week

Jessica Looney, Bryant (So., Gofftown, N.H.) - Swam to a trio of wins in a 117-82 victory over Saint Rose . Won the 400-yard IM (4:49.01), the 200-yard breaststroke (2:34.17) and the 1650-yard freestyle (18:57.29).

Kristen Frost, Southern Connecticut (So., Madison, Conn.) - Posted three wins in the meet at C.W. Post. Won the 200-yard individual medley (2:11.29), the 200-yard butterfly (2:02.77) and the 100-yard freestyle (54.67).

Northeast-10 Men’s Diving Athlete of the Week

Jon Andrews, Bentley (Fr., Southbury, Conn.) - In a dual meet against Brandeis, won the one-meter diving with a NCAA qualifying score of 283.80. Also finished second on the three-meter in 250.05.

Northeast-10 Women’s Diving Athlete of the Week

Emily Travers, Bentley (Fr., Brentwood, N.H.) - Swept the diving events in a 133-101 win over Brandeis, with scores of 205.65 on the one-meter and 201.35 on the three-meter.

Northeast-10 Men’s Freshman of the Week

Steven Nguyen, Bryant (Fr., San Jose, Calif.) - Helped Bryant to a 117-80 win over Saint Rose with wins in the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.01) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.75).

Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the Week

Jill Squillante, Bryant (Fr., Sayville, N.Y.) - Touched the wall first in two events to help Bryant to a 117-82 win over Saint Rose, winning the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.76) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:18.67).

Weekly Honor Roll:

Arden Brust, Bentley (Sr., Newark, N.Y.) - In a 133-101 win at Brandeis, posted victories in the 1000 freestyle (11:01.22) and the 200 backstroke (2:18.90) and also participated on the winning 400 free relay team (3:52.26).

Kaitlin Chepeleff, Bentley (Jr., Vernon, Conn.) - Was a double-winner in Bentley's 133-101 win over Brandeis, capturing the 200 individual medley (2:19.21) and the 200 breaststroke (2:31.70). Also was a member of the winning 400 medley relay team (4:15.67).

Liza Connolly, Bentley (Sr., Washington, Conn.) - Helped the Falcons to a 133-101 win over Brandeis by winning both the 50 free (25.60) and the 100 free (55.72), and also participated on the winning 400 free relay team (3:52.26).

Sam Laden, Bentley (So., Cheshire, Conn.) - In a dual loss to Brandeis, posted a victory in the 200 breaststroke (2:21.79), helped the Falcons win the 400 medley relay (3:48.93) and finished fourth in the 200 individual medley (210.01).

Tom Ferrign , Bryant (Jr., West Chester, Penn.) - Took the top times in the 1650-yard freestyle (17:14.68) and the 400-yard IM (4:20.53) to lead the Bulldogs to a 117-80 win over Saint Rose.

Jerry Dumary, Le Moyne (Fr., Ballston Spa, N.Y.) - Claimed victories in the 1000 freestyle and the 500 freestyle in a victory over St. Lawrence.

Genevieve Suits, Le Moyne (Sr., Jamesville, N.Y.) –Recorded victories in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Also a member of the winning 200 medley relay.

Lindsey Burgess, Saint Michael's (So., Westborough, Mass.) - Helped Saint Michael’s earn a 184-86 win over Norwich University with two first place finishes in the 50-yard Butterfly (2:11.27) and 100-yard Freestyle (59.50).

Mary Beth Casey, Saint Michael's (So., Sturbridge, Mass.) - Led Saint Michael’s to a 184-86 victory over Norwich University with two first-place finished in the 1,000-yard Freestyle (11:59.81) and 500-yard Freestyle (5:50.50) and a third place finish in the 50-yard Freestyle with a time of 28.07.

Ed Fennessey, Saint Michael's (Sr., Wilton, Conn.) - In a dual meet with Norwich University, placed first and second in two 1-meter diving events. Saint Michael’s fell 160-93 overall.

Mike Kaas, Saint Michael's (Sr., West Haven, Conn.) - Led Saint Michael’s in a dual meet versus Norwich with three second-place finishes in the 1,000-yard Freestyle (10:59.32), 100-yard Backstroke (1:00.19) and 200-yard Individual Medley (2:13.89).

Gene Taylor, Saint Michael's (Fr., Marmora, N.J.) - Captured two first-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.21) and 100-yard Backstroke (1:07.97) while finishing second in the 50-yard freestyle in 23.56 amid a 160-93 loss to Norwich University.
Caitie Watt, Saint Michael's (Fr., Cumberland, Maine) - Had first-place finishes in the 200-yard Freestyle (2:11.27) and 100-yard Backstroke (1:06.79).

Doug Terry, Saint Rose (Sr., Garnerville, N.Y.) - Captured the lone win for the Saint Rose men at Bryant with a 2:09.69 clocking in the 200-yard butterfly. Also swam the first leg of the 200 free relay to help the Golden Knights take second in 1:32.44.

Weekly Notes:

BENTLEY: Two freshmen made a mark for themselves in Bentley’s dual meet against Brandeis. Anne Kaduboski (Dedham, Mass.) broke the school record in the 200 butterfly for the second time, with a time of 2:14.26. Jon Andrews (Southbury, Conn.) met the cut for the NCAA Div. II Championships in the one-meter diving, with a score of 283.80.

BRYANT: The men's and women's teams remained perfect with wins over Saint Rose Saturday. The men are now 5-0 and the women are 7-0 in the 2007-08 season.
