Northeast-10 Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week
Ned Krawiecki, Bentley (Sr., Bristol, Conn.) - During a 2-0 week,
won three events, finished second in two others and participated on
two winning 200 medley relay teams (times of 1:42.90 vs. Norwich
and 1:46:19 against UMass-Dartmouth). Against UMass-Dartmouth, was
first in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.95) and second in the 100
butterfly (58.36). In the Norwich meet, was first in both the 50
breast (29.00) and 100 breast (1:03.50), and was second in the 100
individual medley (59.32).
Northeast-10 Co- Women’s Swimming Athletes of the
Week
Liza Connolly, Bentley (Sr., Washington, Conn.) - Was a
double-winner in a dual win at UMass-Dartmouth, capturing the 50
freestyle (25.68) and the 500 free (5:28.27). Also anchored the
winning 200 free relay team (1:50.25).
Kristen Frost, Southern Connecticut (So., Madison, Conn.) - Won the
200-yard backstroke (2:09.50) and 400-yard individual medley
(4:30.09) in a meet against Fairfield and Yale this past weekend.
Also was victorious as a member of the 400-yard freestyle relay
squad.
Northeast-10 Men’s Diving Athlete and Freshman of the
Week
Jon Andrews, Bentley (Fr., Southbury, Conn.) - Was undefeated in
diving in a pair of dual meets during the week. Posted scores of
253.20 (one meter) and 254.55 (three meter) against Norwich, and
283.80 (one meter) and 250.05 (three meter) against
UMass-Dartmouth.
Northeast-10 Women’s Diving Athlete of the Week
Emily Travers, Bentley (Fr., Brentwood, N.H.) - Swept the diving
events in a dual win over UMass-Dartmouth, with scores of 193.12 on
the one-meter board and 207.74 on the three-meter.
Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the Week
Christine Lockwood, Saint Rose (Fr., Binghamton, N.Y.) - Was the
top finisher in the 1,000 free, the 200 individual medley and 100
breaststroke against Le Moyne. Took the 1,000 free in 11:16.75,
swam a 2:18.97 in the 200 IM and hit the wall in 1:14.08 in the 100
breaststroke.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Anne Kaduboski, Bentley (Fr., Dedham, Mass.) - Finished first in
the 50 backstroke (30.73) and the 50 butterfly (28.66) during a win
at UMass-Dartmouth, and also participated on the winning 200 medley
relay team (2:02.63).
Ricky Chidsey, Le Moyne (Jr., Liverpool, N.Y.) - In a victory over
Saint Rose, placed first in the 200 freestyle (1:45.97), 100
freestyle (47.56) and was part of a second place 200 freestyle
relay team.
Jerry Dumary, Le Moyne (Fr., Ballston Spa, N.Y. - In the win
against Saint Rose, placed first in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.58),
200 IM (2:06.85) and the 200 medley relay (1:43.45).
Alison Lesher, Le Moyne (So., Sherrill, N.Y.) - In a victory over
Saint Rose, captured victories in the 50 freestyle (26.36), 100
backstroke (1:04.65), and the 200 freestyle relay (1:45.58).
Ryan Lowrie, Le Moyne (Sr., Johnson City, N.Y.) - In a victory over
Saint Rose, placed first in the 200 medley relay (1:43.45), 50
freestyle (22.36) and 100 butterfly (52.98).
Megan Nugent, Le Moyne (Jr., Binghamton, N.Y.) - Captured victories
in the 200 freestyle (2:05.59) and 100 butterfly (1:02.30) and
placed second in the 200 medley relay (2:00.79) in a victory over
Saint Rose.
Callie Grace, Pace (Fr., Dalton, Mass.) - Took first place in the
200 IM with a time of 2:25.80 and the 200-yard breaststroke with a
time of 2:44.59 in a dual meet against Queens. Was also part of the
winning 200-yard medley relay team.
Craig McClintock, Pace (Jr., Valhalla, N.Y.) - Took first place
finishes in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:39.80, the
200 IM with a time of 2:21.11 and the 100-yard backstroke with a
time of 1:05.45 as Pace defeated Queens in a dual meet.
Gene Taylor, Saint Michael's (Fr., Marmora, N.J.) - Won three
events in a dual meet with Skidmore including the 200-yard
freestyle (1:55.69), 100-yard freestyle (51.74) and the 500-yard
Freestyle (5:19.29).
Brandon Birchak, Saint Rose (Sr., Latham, N.Y.) - Took first in the
one-meter diving event in a dual meet against Le Moyne. Accumulated
495.75 points to run away with the victory.
Michael Buyes, Saint Rose (Sr., Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) - Had a
pair of first place finishes and swam the leadoff leg on the
winning 200-yard medley relay squad against Le Moyne. Took the
1,000 freestyle in a time of 10:27.31, before touching in 5:00.67
to win the 500 free.
Cody Hall, Southern Connecticut (So., Parker, Colo.) - Placed
second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.42) and third in the
1650-yard freestyle (17:56.46) in a meet against Fairfield and
Yale. Also won as a part of the 400-yard freestyle relay team.
Dan Vitagliano, Southern Connecticut (Sr., New Haven, Conn.) - Won
the 100-yard freestyle (47.74), 500-yard freestyle (4:47.37) and
200-yard butterfly (2:00.02) events against Fairfield. Also placed
second as a member of the 200-yard medley relay team.
