Northeast-10 Men’ s Swimming Athlete of the
Week
Ricky Chidsey, Le Moyne (Sr., Liverpool, N.Y.) - Won three
individual events and teamed for a relay victory in a 158-139 win
over RIT. Registered individual victories in the 200 freestyle in a
pool record time of 1:43.98, 500 freestyle (5:00.77) and the 200 IM
(2:01.45). Swam the anchor leg on the victorious 400 freestyle
relay team.
Northeast-10 Women’s Swimming Athlete of the
Week
Anne Kaduboski, Bentley (So., Dedham, Mass.) - Stretched her string
of individual dual wins from 32 to 41 by winning three times
against UMass-Dartmouth, Babson and Keene State. Competing in seven
different events, her times included 25.95 in 50 free, 2:00.57 in
200 free, 1:00.13 in 100 fly, 2:13.65 in 200 fly, 2:03.30 in 100
back, 1:05.72 in 100 IM and 2:18.07 in 200 IM. Also helped Bentley
win the 200 free relay against UMD and finish second in 200 medley
relay at Keene.
Northeast-10 Men’s Diving Athlete of the
Week
Greg Simoneau, Southern Connecticut (So., Sandy Hook, Conn.) -
Posted scores of 525.15 and 581.47 in the one-and three-meter
diving events to grab first place in the diving portions of the
meet.
Northeast-10 Women’s Diving Athlete of the
Week
Emily Travers, Bentley (So., Brentwood, N.H.) - Won five of six
diving events she participated in during the week, sweeping against
both Keene State and Babson, and capturing the three-meter against
UMass-Dartmouth. Top scores came at Keene, with 222.05 on the
one-meter and 209.00 on the three-meter.
Northeast-10 Co-Men’s Freshmen of the
Week
Mike Christine, Le Moyne (Fr., Clifton Park, N.Y.) - Won three
individual events and teamed for a relay victory in a 158-139 win
over RIT. Registered individual victories in the 50 freestyle
(22.00), 100 freestyle (49.18) and 100 butterfly (53.62). Swam the
third leg on the first place 200 medley relay team.
Ryan Brauer, Saint Rose (Fr., Clifton Park, N.Y.) - Shattered two
school records and posted a pair of national cut performances to
lead Saint Rose past visiting Adelphi 123-79. Took first place in
both the 1,000-yard freestyle and the 200 butterfly with record
times of 9:45.58 and 1:55.32. Also hit the wall first in the 500
free behind a 4:47.19 clocking.
Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the
Week
Caitlin Peterson, Saint Rose (Fr., Sherrill, N.Y.) - Added a pair
of winning efforts to help Saint Rose defeat visiting Adelphi
133-55. Was victorious in the 200-yard freestyle behind a winning
time of 2:00.07 and then hit the wall first in the 500 free in
5:17.99.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Jill Capadanno, Assumption (Fr., Dracut, Mass.) - At the Worcester
City Championship, placed 5th in the 200-yard freestyle (2:09.20);
4th in the 200-yard butterfly (2:25.90); 5th in the 500 yard
freestyle (5:43.46); 8th in the 400-yard medley relay (4:36.54) ;
5th in the 400-yard freestyle relay (4:05.30); 7th in the 200-yard
freestyle relay (1:52.29); 8th in the 200-yard medley relay
(2:07.94).
Kristen Thuerk, Bentley (Sr., Cheshire, Conn.) - In seven events
during three dual meets, won four races, finished second twice and
placed third once. Finished first in the 100 fly and 500 free
against UMass-Dartmouth, captured the 500 and 1000 free against
Babson, and was second in both 1000 free and 200 fly at Keene. Also
helped Bentley win two relays and finish second in another during
the week. Best times were 5:37.22 in 500 free, 11:24.29 in 1,000,
1:04.94 in 100 fly and 2:19.95 in 200 fly.
Egen Ouellette, Bentley (So., West Hartford, Conn.) - During three
dual meets, won six of the eight individual events he swam, with
one second and one fourth. Was first in the 100 free, 1000 free and
40 fly against UMass-Dartmouth, the 100 and 200 free against
Babson, and the 200 free at Keene State. In relays, helped Bentley
win once and record two seconds. Top times were 49.65 in 100 free,
1:49.18 in 200 free, 5:01.46 in 500, 10:30.74 in 1000 and 25.25 in
50 fly.
Tierney Carey, Saint Michael's (Sr., Newtown, Conn.) - Won both
one-meter diving competitions in a dual meet at Clarkson. Finished
20 and 19 points ahead of the runner-up in the two events,
respectively.
Eileen Mullowney, Saint Michael's (Fr., Burlington, Vt.) - Won a
pair of individual races in a dual meet at Clarkson. Took the
200-meter freestyle (2:15.68), winning by nearly five seconds, and
the 100-meter freestyle (1:02.55).
Jake Stamas, Saint Michael's (Jr., Andover, Mass.) - Won both
one-meter diving events in a dual meet at Clarkson. Totaled 160.5
points in the two events.
Christine Lockwood, Saint Rose (So., Binghamton, N.Y.) -
Contributed two first place finishes in a win over Adelphi 133-55.
Hit the wall first in the 200 IM with a 2:18.32 clocking. Then
posted a time of 11:12.41 in the 1,000 free.
Kristen Frost, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Madison, Conn.) –
In a meet versus West Chester, picked up her first win of the day
in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:22.90. Was also victorious in
the 500-yard freestyle (4:52.74), 1650-yard freestyle (16:43.42)
and 200-yard IM (2:08.51).
Aaron Rocheleau, Southern Connecticut (So., Newington, Conn.)
– In a meet versus West Chester, grabbed a victory in the
400-yard IM with a time of 4:13.06. Added two more first place
marks in the 200-yard IM (1:57.18) and the 200-yard backstroke
(1:58.67).
Miguel Nesrala, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Santo Domingo, D.R.) -
Collected the win in the 200-yard freestyle event with a time of
1:44.69 in a meet with West Chester. Also took home third place in
the 100-yard backstroke event with a time of 55.78.
