Northeast-10 Men’ s Swimming Athlete of the
Week
Sam Laden, Bentley (Jr., Chesire, Conn.) - In a pair of dual
meets, won four of the five individual events he swam. Finished
second in the other and helped Bentley win a pair of relays.
Against Gordon, placed first in the 50 breaststroke (29.11), 100
freestyle (57.18) and 100 individual medley (57.18), and swam a leg
on winning 200 medley relay team (1:43.00). Against Bryant, touched
first in the 100 breast (1:02.21), helped Falcons win the 400
medley relay (3:42.88) and was second in the 100 free (49.85).
Northeast-10 Women’s Swimming Athlete of the
Week
Kristen Frost, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Madison, Conn.)
–Recorded three victories this past week. Won the 200 yard
backstroke with a time of 2:06.71, setting a new record. Also won
the 100 yard backstroke (58.99) and the 100 yard butterfly
(58.21).
Northeast-10 Men’s Diving Athlete of the
Week
Zach Hisert, Le Moyne (Sr., Amsterdam, N.Y.) – Picked up a
victory in the one-meter diving event with 222.75 points.
Northeast-10 Women’s Diving Athlete of the
Week
Amanda Burden, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Orange, Conn.) –
Took home first in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. In
the 1-meter event posted a 206.90 and in the 3-meter diving event
she recorded a score of 234.70.
Northeast-10 Men’s Freshman of the Week
Dan Healey, Saint Michael's (Fr., South Burlington, Vt.) - Won
three individual events, and was part of a winning relay team, in a
tri-meet victory at Colby-Sawyer. Took the 50-yard backstroke
(26.93, winning by nearly two seconds), the 100-yard backstroke
(57.47, winning by nearly five seconds), and the 50-yard freestyle
(23.98). Also swam the first leg of the 200-yard medley relay in
27.01.
Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the
Week
Eileen Mullowney , Saint Michael's (Fr. , Burlington, Vt.) - Won
three individual events, and was part of a winning relay team, in a
tri-meet victory at Colby-Sawyer. Set a program record in the
100-yard individual medley (1:03.92, winning by more than five
seconds), and also won the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.98, winning by
nearly six seconds) and the 50-yard freestyle (25.43). Also swam
the first leg of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay in 25.45.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Jill Capadanno, Assumption (Fr., Dracut, Mass.) - Won the
200-individual medley (2:27.91), the 100-yard individual medley
(1:07.63) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:42.69) events and was on
one leg of the first place 200 medley relay in a dual meet with
Regis and St. Joseph's.
Susie Boretti , Bentley (Fr. , Westford, Mass.)- Captured the 100
yard breaststroke in both meets, with times of 1:14.52 against
Gordon and 1:11.93 at Bryant. Finished second in the 200 free
(2:10.87) against Gordon and fourth in the same event against
Bryant (2:07.22), and was a member of 400 medley relay that was
second at Bryant (4:22.52).
Anne Kaduboski, Bentley (So., Dedham, Mass.) - Won all five
individual events that she swam in a pair of dual meets, and also
helped Bentley finish second in the 400 free relay against Bryant
with a time of 4:00.04. Placed first in the 1000 freestyle
(11:13.15) and 100 butterfly (1:00.95) in the Bryant meet after
recording wins in the 200 free (2:03.64), 50 free (26.34) and 100
backstroke (1:03.52) against Gordon earlier in the week.
Kay Mike Christine , Le Moyne (Fr. , Clifton Park, N.Y.) - Won an
individual event and was a member of a winning relay team in the
124-113 loss at Hartwick. Recorded a victory in the 50-yard
freestyle in 22.09 seconds and was a member of 400-yard medley
relay that set a pool-record in 3:35.69.
Kayla Ehle, Le Moyne (Jr., Baldwinsville, N.Y. ) - Won two
individual events and teamed on a relay win in a 128-114 over
Hartwick . Picked up a win with a time of 2:03.27 in the 200-yard
freestyle and was victorious in the 100-yard freestyle in 56.54
seconds. Member of relay team that set a pool record in the
400-yard freestyle in 3:44.01.
Sean Hosford , Le Moyne (So., Garden City, N.Y. ) -Won two
individual events and was a member of a winning relay team in the
124-113 loss at Hartwick. Earned wins with times of 1:49.52 in the
200-yard freestyle and 48.81 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle.
Member of 400-yard medley relay that set a pool-record in
3:35.69.
Katie O'Donnell , Le Moyne (Fr. , Delmar, N.Y. ) - Won two
individual events and teamed on a relay win in a 128-114 over
Hartwick. Set two individual pool records on the afternoon by
topping the field in a time of 2:11.46 in the 200-yard IM and won
the 200-yard backstroke in 2:09.10. Member of relay team that set a
pool record in the 400-yard freestyle in 3:44.01.
Chelsea Oberhauser , Pace (Fr. , Cream Ridge, NJ ) - Had three
first place finishes in a pair of meets. Won the 200-yard IM with a
time of 2:25.58. Finished in first place in the 50-yard freestyle
with a time of 27.01 and 100-yard backstroke with a time of
1:04.36.
Hannah Houley, Saint Michael's (So., Brookline, Mass. ) -Won both
one-meter dives in a tri-meet victory at Colby-Sawyer, totaling
281.6 points in the two events.
Ryan Brauer, Saint Rose (Fr. , Clifton Park, NY) - Won three
events to help Saint Rose upend Utica College in dual meet action
on Saturday. Victorious in the 100 back, the 100 butterfly and the
500 free with respective times of 58.09, 53.42 and 4:51.88.
Amy Lamparelli, Saint Rose (So., Scotia, NY) - Lamparelli won two
events to lead Saint Rose past Utica College in dual meet action on
Saturday...Lamparelli swam the 200 individual medley in 2:19.85 and
had a 1:02.63 clocking in the 100 butterfly.
Caitlin Peterson , Saint Rose (Fr. , Sherrill, NY) - Peterson won
two events to help Saint Rose defeat Utica College in dual meet
action on Saturday. Set a school record with a time of 5:21.31 in
the 500-yard freestyle and hit the wall with a 25.69 clocking in
the 50 free.
John Senkewich, Saint Rose (Sr., Mountainville, NY ) - Won two
races to help Saint Rose come away with a dual meet victory versus
Utica College on Saturday. Swam the 100 free in 49.97 and hit the
wall with a time of 1:52.31 in the 200 free.
Benjamin Prue, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Alpharetta, Ga.) - In
the 100 Yard Backstroke he took the gold with a final time of 53.45
and placed second in the 100 and 200 Yard Butterfly events.
Cody Hall , Southern Connecticut (Jr. , Parker, Colo.) - Hall
completed three first place finishes on the afternoon for the first
time this season. She took home first place in the 200 Yard
Freestyle (1:57.87), 200 Yard IM (2:13.53) and the 200 Yard
Butterfly event with a time of 2:12.43.
Aaron Rocheleau , Southern Connecticut (So., Newington, Conn.) -
Won two more races for the Owls in the losing effort. He finished
the 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:55.83 and won the 200 Yard
IM finishing the race with a time of 1:58.17. Took second in the
200-Yard Freestyle event.
Emily Sundel, Southern Connecticut (Jr., West Hartford, Conn.) -
Won two events on the afternoon, helping the Owls to their third
win of the season. Finished first in the 1000 Yard Freestyle with a
time of 10:36.03 and later finished first in the 500 Yard Freestyle
race.
