Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Christina Sadowski, Bentley (Jr., MH, Salem, NH) - Was named the
MVP of the Northeast-10 conference tournament after leading Bentley
to their ninth championship. Hit .600 in the final against Saint
Rose with 17 kills, only two errors and two blocks. In the
tournament, averaged 3.8 kills, 2.7 digs and 1.5 blocks with a .419
hitting percentage. Overall, in a 4-0 week, hit .375 while
averaging 3.77 kills, 2.31 digs and 1.23 digs.
Northeast-10 Setter of the Week
Tori Piskulick, Bentley (So., S, San Diego, CA) - Helped Bentley
to the Northeast-10 tournament title by averaging 12.6 assists, 2.3
digs, 1.1 kills and 0.7 aces. Had 42 assists, eight digs and four
aces in a 3-0 win over Saint Rose in the finals. Also had 42
assists in both the quarters and semis. Overall, averaged 13.62
assists, 2.15 digs, 1.08 kills and 0.92 aces in a 4-0 week with a
.321 hitting percentage.
Northeast-10 Libero of the Week
Cassie Kraft, Bentley (Fr., L, San Antonio, TX) - Averaged 4.9
digs during the conference tournament with 23 in the semis versus
Bryant and 15 in the finals against Saint Rose. Had eight kills and
11 digs while playing the outside hitter position against Pace in
the quarters. Overall, averaged 4.38 digs, 1.31 kills and 0.54 aces
during a 4-0 week.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Alex Kearney, Bentley (Fr., OH, La Jolla, CA) - Averaged 3.86
kills, 3.14 digs and 0.43 blocks in the final two rounds of the
conference tournament while hitting .198. Had double-doubles in
each match, finishing with 17 kills and 12 digs in a 3-1 win over
Bryant and 10 kills and 10 digs in a sweep of Saint Rose in the
finals.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Lauren Raswyck, Assumption (Jr., L, Litchfield, NH) - Had a
game-high 25 digs at Bryant.
Susan Harrahy, Bentley (So., OH, Nashua, NH) - Led Bentley in kills
during the Northeast-10 tournament, averaging 4.3 with a .295
hitting percentage. Also averaged 3.0 digs, 0.8 aces and 0.5 blocks
in wins over St. Rose, Bryant and Pace. Had 17 kills and 10 digs
versus Pace, 11 kills and 14 digs against Bryant and 15 kills and
fives aces against Saint Rose. Overall, in a 4-0 week, hit .308
while averaging 4.77 kills, 3.08 digs, 0.62 aces and 0.54
blocks.
Jessica Cegarra, Bryant (Sr., MH, Danville, NH) - Averaged 4.55
kills per game and 1.09 blocks per game in three matches this past
week. Had 20 kills and hit .515 versus Assumption and followed with
17 kills and six blocks in a win over Franklin Pierce.
Tiffany Garry, Bryant (Jr., S, Frankfort, IL) - Averaged 11.73
assists per game and was named to the Northeast-10 Conference
Championship All-Tournament team with 87 assists in two matches.
Had 13 service aces on the week including seven service aces versus
Bentley in the conference semifinals.
Nicole Buchholz, Franklin Pierce (So., MH, Ashburn, VA) - Led all
Franklin Pierce hitters posting a.344 hitting percentage en route
to 13 kills and five blocks in a 3-1 setback to Bryant
University.
Kasey Barrett, Pace (Sr., L, Eden, NY) - In an 0-2 week, totaled 47
digs averaging 5.88 a game.
Ashley D’Agostini, Pace (So., S, San Diego, CA) - In a 0-2
week, tallied 66 assists, averaging 8.25 per game to along with 22
digs. Added 2 service aces and 6 kills.
Danielle Furka, Pace (So., OH, Massapequa, NY) - In a 0-2 week,
finished with 23 kills, averaging 2.88 a game. Also totaled 31 digs
and 3 service aces.
Amy Manougian, Saint Michael's (So., S, Rye, NH) - Tallied 55
assists (11 per game), 28 digs, five kills and four service aces in
a season-ending win versus Middlebury.
Shannon Campbell, Saint Rose (Sr., S, Burnt Hills, NY) – Was
selected to the All-Tournament Team at the Northeast-10 Tournament.
Contributed 124 assists, 13 digs, four kills and three blocks in
three matches while leading Saint Rose to the championship match.
Registered 43 assists, seven digs and three kills in a 3-1 victory
over Merrimack. Passed out 49 assists and recorded five digs and a
block in a 3-1 decision over Le Moyne. In the finals, handed out 32
assists in a 3-0 loss to Bentley. Averaged 12.4 assists per-game
for the weekend.
Mary German, Saint Rose (Fr., L, Canandaigua, NY) - Contributed 49
digs and nine aces during the Northeast-10 Tournament. Produced 14
digs and three aces in a 3-1 quarterfinal victory over Merrimack.
Came up with 19 digs and three aces in a 3-1 win over Le Moyne, and
followed with 16 digs and three kills in the 3-0 loss to Bentley.
Averaged 4.9 digs per-game.
Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: Captured its ninth Northeast-10
playoff championship and earned its eighth NCAA tournament berth,
including fifth in the last six years. Junior Christina Sadowski,
the NE-10 playoff MVP, became only the second player in program
history to amass both 1000 career kills and 400 career blocks.
Sophomore Tori Piskulick broke the Bentley single season assist
record and will enter the NCAA tournament with 1,452. Alex Kearney
became the first conference freshman to earn a spot on the
All-Northeast-10 first time since Bryant's Michelle Muniz in
2002.
