Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Likica Grceva, Bryant (Sr., OH, Natick, Mass. ) - Named to the NCAA
All-Northeast Regional team after leading the Bulldogs to an
appearance in the regional final after wins over Adelphi and New
Haven. At the tourney, averaged 3.85 kills and three digs per game.
Had 17 kills and 18 and 14 digs in a win over Adelphi and had 17
kills and 17 digs in a win over New Haven. Had 16 kills in a loss
to Dowling in the final.
Northeast-10 Setter of the Week
Tiffany Garry, Bryant (Sr. , S, Frankfort, Ill.) - Was named to the
NCAA Northeast Regional All-Tourney team after averaging 11.54
assists per game in leading the Bulldogs to the regional final. Had
55 assists and six kills in a win over Adelphi in the opening round
and added 59 assists in a win over New Haven.
Northeast-10 Libero of the Week
Cassie Kraft, Bentley (So., L , New Braunfels, Texas) - Averaged
five digs during the NCAA Northeast Regional, with 27 in five games
against Georgian Court and 13 in three games versus Dowling.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Adrienne Boss, Bryant (Fr., MH, Dracut, Mass.) - Averaged 2.62
kills per game and hit .429 in three NCAA tournament matches. Had
34 kills in the three matches including 15 kills and a .423 hitting
percentage in a win over Adelphi. Followed with 11 kills and a .400
percentage in a win over New Haven. Closed out the tourney hittin
g.471 with 8 kills, no errors on 17 swings against Dowling in the
final.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Tori Piskulick, Bentley (Sr., S, San Diego, Calif.) - In the NCAA
Northeast Regional, averaged 10.88 assists, 3.38 digs and 1.12
kills as Bentley advanced to the regional semis for the second
straight year. Had 57 assists, 16 digs and four kills in a 3-2 win
over Georgian Court, and 30 assists, 11 digs, five kills and two
aces versus Dowling in the semis.
Christina Sadowski, Bentley (Sr., MH, Salem, N.H.) - Closed out her
career by hitting .321 and averaging 3.75 kills, 0.75 blocks and
0.62 digs during the NCAA Northeast Region. Had 20 kills, and hit
.412, in a 3-2 win over Georgian Court in the opening round. Had 10
kills against Dowling in the semis.
Jayne Seward, Bentley (Fr., DS, Alexandria, Va.) - Served eight
aces during the NCAA Northeast Regional, including six in a 3-2 win
over Georgian Court. Also averaged 1.62 digs.
Molly Cindric, Merrimack (Fr. , OH, Westlake Village, Calif.) - Had
18 kills and 13 digs, while adding two blocks and three assists
against Dowling in Merrimack's first-ever NCAA appearance.
Ale Kuncaitis, Merrimack (Jr., OH, Canton, Mass.) - Posted a
double-double (21 kills, 19 digs) while hitting .410 in the 3-1
loss to Dowling in its first ever NCAA appearance.
Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: Christina Sadowski, one of four conference
players named to the Daktronics Division II All-Region team,
finished her career first in school history in hitting percentage
(.333), second in kills (1,369) and third in blocks (518). Bentley
posted a victory in the NCAA tournament for the third consecutive
year.
