Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Amanda Shannon, Merrimack (Jr., G, North Andover, Mass.) - Led the team to victories over Bentley and American International, averaging 27.5 points on 44-percent shooting and 5.5 rebounds per game. Scored 30 points, including the game-winning lay-up in a 60-58 win over American International. Finished with 25 points and scored six of the team's nine points in the extra frame of a 63-59 overtime win over Bentley.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Kim Brennan, Bentley (Fr., G, Locust Valley, N.Y.) - Averaged 11 points, 3.5 rebounds, three assists and one steal during a 1-1 week. Had 13 points at Merrimack, including seven in the final minute of regulation to send the game into overtime. Also had nine points, four rebounds and three assists against Bryant.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Alexis Castro, American International (Sr., F, Chula Vista, Calif.) - Averaged 16.5 points and eight rebounds this past week. Scored 20 points with eight rebounds at Assumption and netted 13 points with eight boards against Merrimack.

Charde Floyd, Assumption (Sr., F, Worcester, Mass.) - Averaged 12.5 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals while shooting 52.4 percent (11-21 FG) from the floor in a 2-0 week. Had nine points (4-9 FG), 13 rebounds, two assists, and three steals in a victory over American International. Scored 16 points (7-12 FG), grabbed nine rebounds, and had three steals in a win against Southern New Hampshire.

Molly Griffiths, Assumption (Fr., F, Walpole, Mass.) - Averaged 12 points and two assists in a 2-0 week. Scored 18 points, including six in the final 1:35 of regulation, in a win over American International.

Vanessa Lux, Bentley (Sr., C, Arundel, Maine) - In a 1-1 week, averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, one assist and one block while shooting 48 percent overall and 82 percent at the line. Scored 20 points (7-14 FG, 6-7 FT) in an overtime loss at Merrimack, and had 13 points and five rebounds in a one-point win over Bryant.

Lynne-Ann Kokoski, Bryant (Sr., G, Hatfield, Mass.) - Averaged 12 points and 8.5 assists per game in a 1-1 week. Scored 10 points and 11 assists in a 77-56 win over Saint Anselm before scoring 14 points and dishing out six assists in 59-58 loss to Bentley. Collected a total of eight rebounds on the week.

Kelsey O’Keefe, Bryant (So., F, Warren, Mass.) - Averaged a double-double with 10.5 rebounds and 15.5 points per game in a 1-1 week. Scored 24 points, brought in nine rebounds and blocked two shots in a 77-56 win over Saint Anselm. Gathered 12 rebounds and added seven points in the 59-58 loss at Bentley.

Jennifer Leedham, Franklin Pierce (Jr., G, Ellesmere Port, England) - Averaged 11 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals in a 2-0 week. Shot 53.8-percent (7-for-13) from the field, including 6-of-9 (66.7%) from three-point range for the week. Posted 12 points, three rebounds, four steals and two assists in the win over UMass Lowell. Collected ten points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals in the win at Pace.

Johannah Leedham, Franklin Pierce (So., F, Ellesmere Port, England) - Averaged 18 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals in a 2-0 week. Shot 53.8-percent (14-for-26) from the field and converted all five free-throw attempts for the week. Posted a double-double with totals of 22 points and ten rebounds to go with two assists and two steals in the win at Pace. Scored 12 of her 14 points in the first half in the win over UMass Lowell, adding five rebounds, five assists and a steal.

Kathleen Gladstone, Le Moyne (Jr., G, Cleveland, Ohio) - Averaged 12 points per game in a 1-1 week. Connected on .500 (10-20) from the field. In a loss to Stonehill, scored 20 points.

Taylor Losey, Pace (So., F, Bristol, Conn.) - Averaged 13.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week. Against Franklin Pierce, totaled 13 points, along with five rebounds and two steals. In a win over Saint Anselm, shot 5-for-12 from the field and 4-for-8 from long range, finishing with 14 points, two rebounds and two assists.

Alexis Keller, Saint Michael's (So., G, Harrington Park, N.J.) - Scored 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting and 3-of-6 from long range in a 73-66 win over Saint Rose. Also recorded six assists and six boards while grabbing two steals in the win.

Michelle Otey, Saint Michael's (So., F, Southborough, Mass.) - Averaged 15 points and 4.5 boards in a 1-1 week. Scored 18 points, connecting on 8-of-15 from the field in a 73-66 win over Saint Rose.

Emily Gottstein, Saint Rose (Sr., F, Albany, N.Y.) - Averaged 26.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in an 0-2 week, while shooting 50.0 percent (15-for-30) from the floor and buried 22-of-27 free throws. In a 84-65 setback at Southern Connecticut, scored 24 points and recorded nine rebounds. Tallied 29 points to go with eight boards in a 73-66 loss at Saint Michael's, while shooting 8-of-14 from the floor and connecting on 13-of-15 free throws.

Kate Lynch, Southern Connecticut (Sr., F, Rumford, R.I.) - Scored 24 points, added seven steals, a six assists and grabbed six rebounds in an 84-65 victory over Saint Rose.

Kelsey Simonds, Stonehill (Jr., F, Middleboro, Mass.) - Scored 24 points in the 63-58 victory over LeMoyne. Also grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked two shots.

Weekly Notes:

AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL: With her first basket against the Greyhounds, senior Alexis Castro reached the 1,500 point milestone for her collegiate career.

BENTLEY: Barbara Stevens is two wins away from becoming the sixth NCAA women’s basketball coach to amass 750 career victories following Saturday's 59-58 win over Bryant. As a program, Bentley is three victories away from becoming only the second in NCAA Division II history with 800 wins all-time.

FRANKLIN PIERCE: Sophomore All-American Johannah Leedham moved into 16th place on Franklin Pierce’s career scoring list with 1,036 career points (46 games) on Saturday, moving past Mary Parker (1978-82) who totaled 1,028 career points. Leedham also moved into a tie for seventh in program history with 174 career steals, joining Juanita Brown (1995-99) with that total.

PACE:
Senior guard Stephanie Klingele became Pace's most prolific three-point shooter passing former Pace player Andrea Padelsky's record of 214. Klingele's three trifectas against Saint Anselm gives her 217 for her Setter career. The Setters tied a team record for three-pointers in a game with 13 against St. Anselm repeating a record that was done earlier this season in a win over American International in November and also on January 31, 2004 in a win over Saint Rose.
