Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Charde Floyd, Assumption (Sr., F, Worcester, Mass.) - Averaged 11 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.67 assists, and two steals while shooting 52.2 percent (12-23 FG) from the floor in a 2-1 weekend at the Disney Classic. Had 13 points (5-8 FG), 16 rebounds (12 def.), five assists and three steals versus Indiana, (Pa). In the win over Upper Iowa, had 10 points, four rebounds, and three steals. Recorded a double-double in a victory over Lander (S.C.) scoring 10 points (4-8 FG) for her 1,000th career point, 14 rebounds (11 def.), three assists and two blocks.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Molly Griffiths, Assumption (Fr., F, Walpole, Mass.) - Averaged 14 points and 5.3 rebounds in a 2-1 weekend at the Disney Classic. In her collegiate debut, had 11 points and eight rebounds versus Indiana (Pa.). Had 13 points (5-10 FG) and four rebounds in a win over Upper Iowa. Scored 13 of her 18 points (7-11 FG) in the first half to go along with four rebounds in a victory over Lander (S.C.). Earned all-tournament team in Group Intensity honors for her play.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Trish Gardner, Assumption (Jr., G, New Bedford, Mass.) - Averaged 6.3 assists in a 2-1 weekend at the Disney Classic. Had nine assists and five points versus Indiana (Pa.). In a victory over Lander (S.C.), scored 10 points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3FG) with eight assists and three steals.

Bethany Plasski, Assumption (Jr., G, Fall River, Mass.) - Averaged 13 points, four assists, and three steals in a 2-1 weekend at the Disney Classic. Had 12 points and five rebounds versus Indiana (Pa.). In a win over Upper Iowa, had 12 points and four steals. Recorded a double-double in a victory over Lander (S.C.) scoring 15 points, 10 assists, and four steals.

Megan Urban, Assumption (Sr., C, Portland, Maine) - Averaged 13 points and 5.7 rebounds while shooting 50.0 percent (14-28 FG) from the floor in a reserve role in a 2-1 weekend at the Disney Classic. Had 12 points (5-7 FG) and seven rebounds versus Indiana (Pa.). Scored 11 of her 15 points (5-10 FG) in the second half and had two blocks in a win over Upper Iowa. Finished the weekend with 12 points and six rebounds in a victory over Lander (S.C.)

Weekly Notes:

ASSUMPTION: Senior forward Charde Floyd scored her 1,000th career point versus Lander (S.C.) on a fast break with 14:35 left in the first half. She currently has 1,008 career points and 841 rebounds, needing only 159 rebounds to become just the fourth Greyhound to have 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. Floyd recorded two double-doubles at the Disney Classic, her 24th and 25th of her career.
