Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Alexis Castro, American International (Sr., F, Chula Vista, Calif. ) - Averaged 30 points and 7.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week, while shooting 62.9 percent from the field (22-35), 44.4 percent from 3-point range (4-9) and 92.3 percent at the free throw line (12-13). In the 67-57 win over Southern Connecticut, scored a school record 38 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Shot 14-of-20 from the field and was 10 of 11 at the free throw line. Also scored 22 points in the win at Saint Michael's.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Lisa Welsome, Pace (Fr., G, Staten Island, N.Y.) - Averaged 14.5 points, five rebounds and three assists while shooting 11-for-18 (61.1%) from the field and 5-for-10 from downtown. Against Saint Rose, shot 9-for-12 from the field and 4-for-6 from long range, totaling 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Against Adelphi, finished with seven points, two boards and two assists.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Stacy Boisvert, American International (Jr., F, Agawam, Mass.) - Averaged 11 points and 3.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week. Scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds in the win over Southern Connecticut.

Charde Floyd, Assumption (Sr., F, Worcester, Mass.) - Averaged 12.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and three assists while shooting 63.6 percent (7-11 FG) from the floor in a 1-1 week. Scored 18 points (5-7 FG, 8-8 FT), grabbed nine rebounds, and had five assists at Stonehill. Had seven points and 10 rebounds in a win at Merrimack.

Colette Josey, Bentley (So., F, Framingham, Mass.) - Was a bright spot in an 0-2 week, averaging 12.5 points, eight rebounds, 5.5 blocks, 2.5 assists and one steal with a .478 field goal percentage. Had 17 points and eight rebounds at Bryant, and eight points, eight rebounds and eight blocks against Stonehill.

Cara Johnson, Bryant (Jr., G, Endicott, N.Y.) - Scored 15 points in the 56-55 win over Bentley, going 6-for-14 from behind the arc and recording two steals. Chipped in six points and another pair of steals in the 61-46 win over Southern New Hampshire.

Kelsey O’Keefe, Bryant (So., F, Warren, Mass.) - Scored 19 points at Southern New Hampshire and grabbed six rebounds in the 61-46 victory. Scored 11 points and recorded nine rebounds in 56-55 victory over Bentley, including two big baskets in the last minute to bring Bryant within one point. Shot 14-for-23 from the floor on the week.

Jennifer Leedham, Franklin Pierce (Jr., G, Ellesmere Port, England) - Averaged 14.5 points, 4.5 assists, four rebounds and three steals in a 2-0 week. Hit 76.5-percent (13-of-17) from the field, including 2-of-4 (50%) three-pointers, for the week. Netted 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting (2-3 three's) to go with seven assists and three rebounds in the win over Saint Rose. Totaled 11 points, five rebounds, five steals and two assists in the victory over Le Moyne.

Johannah Leedham, Franklin Pierce (So., F, Ellesmere Port, England) - Averaged 21.5 points, five rebounds, 4.5 assists, 4.5 steals and 1.5 blocked shots in a 2-0 week. Shot 53.1-percent (17-for-32) from the field and converted 6-of-7 (85.7%) free-throw attempts for the week. Netted 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting (2-5 three's) to go with seven rebounds, five assists and three steals in the win over Saint Rose. Totaled 20 points, six steals, four assists, three rebounds and two blocked shots in the victory over Le Moyne.

Liron Asher, UMass Lowell (Sr., F, Givataim, Israel) – Averaged 15 points and five rebounds in a 1-1 week. Highlighted the week with 20 points (7-14 FG shooting) in a 62-50 win at Merrimack. Chipped in 10 points and six rebounds in a 75-61 loss to Southern Connecticut.

Michelle Otey, Saint Michael's (So., F, Southborough, Mass.) - Averaged 15 points and five rebounds in a 1-1 week including 19 points and three steals in a win over Le Moyne.

Elizabeth Buckley, Saint Rose (So., G, East Lyme, Conn.) - Averaged 11.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and two steals in a 1-2 week. Finished with 13 points, three assists and a pair of steals in a 63-60 victory at Pace and tossed in 18 points to go with six boards and three steals at Franklin Pierce.

Rochelle Johnson, Southern Connecticut (Sr., F, Norwalk, Conn.) - Averaged 10.3 points and five rebounds per game in a 2-1 week. In the win against Felician, tallied 10 points and seven rebounds, while recording 12 points and four rebounds in the win versus UMass Lowell. At American International, collected nine points and four rebounds.

Kate Lynch, Southern Connecticut (Sr., F, Rumford, R.I.) - Averaged 25.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in a 2-1 week. In the win against Felician, tallied 27 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished out four assists and recorded eight steals. At UMass Lowell, posted 29 points and nine rebounds, including the 500th rebound of her career in the victory. At American International, scored 20 points and collected eight rebounds.

Megan Shay, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., G, Candor, N.Y.) - Averaged 13.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week. Shot 50 percent (5-10) from three-point land. Scored 14 points in a win at Saint Anselm, then registered 13 points versus Bryant.

Megan Methven, Stonehill (So., G, Corning, N.Y.) – In a 3-0 week, averaged 17.7 on 50 percent shooting including a 10-for-18 display from behind the arc. Also connected on 11-of-12 free throw attempts. Scored 25 points in a win over Assumption and in the win against Saint Rose she collected 22 points.

Erika Stupinski, Stonehill (Sr., G, Topsham, Maine) - Averaged 14.3 points 6.3 assists and two steals in a 3-0 week. Scored 14 points and recorded eight assists in a win over Assumption. Tallied 11 points and seven assists in a win over Saint Rose and then had 18 points and four assists in the win at Bentley. Shot 8-for-9 against Bentley from the line, including a 5-for-6 showing in the final minute.

SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT:
Kate Lynch collected her 500th career rebound at UMass Lowell on Thursday night. She becomes the third player in Southern Connecticut history to tally 1,300 career points and 500 career rebounds, joining Jody Rajcula (1975-79) and Debbie Petrasek (1989-94).

STONEHILL:
The Skyhawks stretched their season-opening winning streak to nine games with three Northeast-10 wins last week. Junior Bethany Tighe (North Easton, Mass.) snatched a career-best 19 boards in the win over Bentley, which were three shy of tying the school record of 22 grabbed by Sue Patchett in a 1996-97 game against New Haven.
