Northeast-10 Co-Players of the Week
Libby Parent, Southern New Hampshire (So., M, Hinesburg, VT) -
Totaled 11 goals and 15 points in a 3-0 week. Scored 11 times on
just 14 shots on goal. Also totaled seven ground balls and nine
draw controls. Five points (3G, 2A) in a win over American
International, four points (3G, A) in a win over Saint Anselm and
six points (5G, A) in a triple OT win over Bryant.
Mary Maloney, Stonehill (So., A, Great River, NY) - Netted 11
goals and four assists for 15 points in 3-0 week. Had five goals
and an assist in a 15-3 win at Saint Anselm to go with a hat trick
and a pair of assists in a 24-4 win at Southern Connecticut. Posted
eight draw controls as well on the week.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Amanda McGeachey, Stonehill (Jr., G, Saco, ME) – Posted a
3-0 mark with a 4.00 goals against average and a .520 saves
percentage this past week. Made five saves in a 15-3 win at Saint
Anselm and had seven stops in a 23-5 victory at Assumption.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Carole Lee, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., A, Derry, NH) - Totaled
eight goals and nine points in a 3-0 week. Scored eight times on
just 10 shots on goal. Scored three goals in a 12-9 win over Saint
Anselm and three times in a 15-14 (3 OT) win over Bryant. Netted
the game-tying goal with 26 seconds left in regulation in the win
over Bryant
Weekly Honor Roll:
Christina Guglielmo, Bentley (Fr., G, Fair Haven, NJ) - Made 14
saves to earn two wins in a 2-0 week with an 11.50 goals against
average and .378 save percentage. Stopped four shots against
Southern Connecticut and then made 10 saves against Saint
Michael's.
Alyssa Ritchie, Bentley (So., A, North Andover, MA) - Scored eight
goals and added five assists in a pair of wins this past week.
Tallied four goals and three assists in a win over Southern
Connecticut and then added four goals and two assists against Saint
Michael's.
Shaun Leddy, Bryant (Sr., A, Sea Girt, NJ) - Had 11 goals and four
assists in two games last week. Scored seven goals and had two
assists in a win over New Haven and followed with four goals
against Southern New Hampshire. Also recorded nine ground balls and
five draw controls.
Carla Savini, Franklin Pierce (So., A, Danvers, MA) - In a 1-2
week, registered ten points on ten goals. Notched six goals in a
13-11 victory over Assumption. Netted two goals in a setback to
Merrimack and added two goals against Saint Michaels.
Amanda Simeone, Merrimack (Jr., M, Nashua, NH) - In a 1-2 week,
had three goals and three assists in a 24-4 win over Franklin
Pierce. Had two goals and an assist against Adelphi and three goals
against C.W. Post.
Brynne Curran, Saint Michael's (Jr., A, Cape Elizabeth, ME) - Had
13 goals and two assists in a 2-1 week. Also tallied seven ground
balls. Had four goals and an assist versus Franklin Pierce, five
goals and six ground balls at Bentley, and four goals and an assist
against New Haven.
Amanda Soule, Saint Michael's (Jr., A, Hartland, VT) - Had 12
goals and an assist in a 2-1 week. Also had nine ground balls.
Tallied six goals and six ground balls versus Franklin Pierce, and
had five goals and an assist against New Haven.
Jennifer Parro, Southern New Hampshire (So., A, Ipswich, MA) -
Totaled 16 points (3G, 13A) in a 3-0 week. Six points (G, 5A) in a
12-9 win over Saint Anselm and record six assists in a 15-14 (3 OT)
win over Bryant.
Kristin Darrell, Stonehill (Jr., M, West Islip, NY) - Netted eight
goals and six assists for 14 points in a 3-0 week. Scored five
goals and had an assist in a 15-3 win at Saint Anselm to go with
goal and four assists in a 24-4 victory at Southern
Connecticut.
Liza Gross, Stonehill (Fr., M, Loudonville, NY) - Notched six
goals and four assists for 10 points in a 3-0 week. Scored four
goals and had an assist in a 23-5 win at Assumption to go with a
pair of goals and three assists in a 24-4 win at Southern
Connecticut.
Michelle Kelly, Stonehill (So., M, Mendham, NJ) - Notched 11 goals
and three assists for 14 points in a 3-0 week. Scored five goals in
a 23-5 win at Assumption and had four goals and three assists in a
24-4 victory at Southern Connecticut. Won 13 draw controls on the
week.
Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: Alyssa Ritchie (North Andover, MA) broke
Bentley’s single-season scoring record. She scored four goals
and had two assists against Saint Michael's to pass the Bentley
record of 65 points in a single season.
SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: Southern New Hampshire has won
five-straight games, which equals the program record for
consecutive wins set during the 2005 season. The eight wins this
season equals the record for most wins in a season set last spring.
Sophomore Libby Parent (Hinesburg, VT) became the first player in
the program's four-year history to record 100 career points. She
has totaled exactly 100 points (69 gls, 31 asts) over her two-year
career. Classmates Maura Murphy (Candia, NH) and Jennifer Parro
(Ipswich, MA) stand just eight points shy of joining Parent in the
100-Point Club. Murphy has totaled 75 goals and 17 assists over her
career, while Parro has racked up 38 goals and 54 assists.
STONEHILL: Stonehill, which moved up to the number three
spot in last week's IWLCA Division II national poll, closed out a
five-match road trip by extending its Northeast-10 winning streak
to 66 straight. The Skyhawks, who have been ranked in the ILWCA top
10 over the last 68 weeks, improved to 78-1 all-time in conference
play and have now amassed the third longest winning streak (14) in
school history. A school-record 13 different players scored at
least one goal in Stonehill's triumph at Southern Connecticut. The
battle of the top two teams in NCAA North Region play will ensue
Friday afternoon when the Skyhawks host top-ranked C.W. Post in
Easton. Stonehill is ranked second in the region behind the
Pioneers.
