Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Jaclyn Griffin, Bentley ( So., A, Barrington, Ill.) - Scored 12
goals and added four assists in a 2-1 week while picking up eight
ground balls, winning seven draw controls and causing four
turnovers. Tallied nine points in the win over Franklin Pierce and
six points at New Haven.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Christina Guglielmo, Bentley (So., G, Fair Haven, N.J.) - Posted an
8.67 goals against average and .574 save percentage in a 2-1 week.
She made 35 saves last week and leads the NE-10 in save percentage
this season.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Lauren Stille, Franklin Pierce (Fr., A, North Quincy, Mass.) -
Scored 17 goals and assisted on three for 20 points in a 1-2 week.
Had five goals and six points in each of her first two games of the
week, then netted seven goals with an assist in the season finale
against Assumption.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Jenna Goldstein, Assumption (Sr., A, Duxbury, Mass.) - Scored 13
goals and added three assists (16 points) in a 1-1 week. Had six
goals and two assists versus Southern Connecticut. In a victory
over Franklin Pierce, scored seven goals and added an assist.
Liz Goddard, Bentley (Sr., M, Acton, Mass.) - Scored 16 points in
three games with eight goals and eight assists. Scored seven
points, including the game-winning goal against Franklin Pierce and
added four points at New Haven and five points against American
International.
Alyssa Ritchie, Bentley (Jr., A, North Andover, Mass.) - Scored 13
points in three games with six goals and seven assists. Tallied
five points each against Franklin Pierce and New Haven and added
three points against American International.
Caitlin Hansen, Bryant (Sr., M, Spring Lake, N.J.) - Tallied eight
goals and one assist in a 1-1 week. Had six goals and five ground
balls plus two caused turnovers in a win over Saint Anselm and
scored twice in a loss to Adelphi.
Brynne Curran, Saint Michael's (Sr., A, Cape Elizabeth, Maine) - In
a 1-1 week, scored seven goals and five assists against Stonehill
and Southern Connecticut. At Southern Connecticut, recorded nine
points on five goals and four assists.
Allison Kownacki, Southern Connecticut (Sr., M , Orange, Conn. ) -
Recorded 14 points in two games last week. Scored eight points (six
goals, two assists) in the 16-15 win over Assumption. Then followed
with a six point (three goal, three assist) effort in the regular
season finale against Saint Michael's.
Sherry Darrell, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., A, Bow, N.H.) -
Totaled seven goals and six assists in a 2-0 week. Notched two
goals and two assists in a win over Merrimack then totaled five
goals and four assists in a win over St. Thomas Aquinas.
Carole Lee, Southern New Hampshire (So., A, Derry, N.H.) - Totaled
eight goals and an assist in a 2-0 week. Registered six goals in a
win over Merrimack.
Kristin Darrell, Stonehill (Sr., M, West Islip, N.Y.) - Had nine
goals and an assist for 10 total points in a 2-1 week. Scored five
times in the win over Saint Michael's. Also registered five grounds
balls, and three caused turnovers.
Michelle Kelly, Stonehill (Jr., M, Mendham, N.J.) - Had nine goals
and eight assist to complete at 17-point week in the team’s
2-1 week. Had five goals and three assists against American
International.
Amanda McGeachey, Stonehill (Sr., G, Saco, Maine) - Held American
International and Saint Michael’s to just seven goals in the
team’s 2-1 week. Made 13 saves including seven against C.W.
Post.
Weekly Notes:
ASSUMPTION: Senior Jenna Goldstein (Duxbury,
Mass.) became the third Greyhound to score 100 career goals in the
season finale win over Franklin Pierce. She finished her career
with 136 points (101-35), second-most in program history (Jenny
Mongeau ’06, 221 points).
BRYANT: Sophomore Allison Faiola (Billerica,
Mass.) set the school single-season scoring record this past week
with her 55th goal of the season. Senior Caitlin Hansen (Spring
Lake, N.J.) is right behind Faiola with 54 goals this season,
passing the previous record of 52 held by Shaun Leddy in 2004.
FRANKLIN PIERCE: Freshman Lauren Stille completed
the regular season as the NE-10 leader in total goals (73) and
points (87), while setting new school records for goals, assists
and points in a single season.
SAINT MICHAEL’S: This past week senior Brynne Curran
scored seven goals and is now one goal shy of tying the program
record for goals in a season at Saint Michael's College (60)
entering the playoffs.
