Northeast-10 Player and Goalkeeper of the Week

Amanda McGeachey, Stonehill (Sr., G, Saco, Maine) - Made 23 saves during the NE-10 Championship Tournament. Connected on 11-of -13 clear attempts. Allowed only four goals on 16 free-position shots over the 2-0 week. Was also named Northeast-10 Championship Tournament MVP.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Sherry Darrell, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., A, Bow, N.H.) - Totaled four goals and two assists in the semifinal victory over Bryant. Added an assist against Stonehill in the Northeast-10 championship game.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Allison Faiola, Bryant (So., A, Billerica, Mass.) - Scored 11 goals in two games last week. Had three goals and two assists in a win over Bentley and followed with eight goals and one assist against Southern New Hampshire in the semifinals.

Delia Glover, Bryant (Jr., M, Marston Mills, Mass.) - Scored eight goals in two conference tournament games last week. Had six goals and one assist in a win over Bentley and followed with two goals and pair of assists versus Southern New Hampshire.

Mia Basile, Merrimack (So., M, Longmeadow, Mass.) - Scored five goals and contributed an assist in the NE-10 quarterfinal game against Saint Michael’s last week.

Kim Berlo, Saint Michael's (Jr., A, Scituate, Mass.) - Scored seven goals in a 19-14 quarterfinal win over Merrimack. Also tallied an assist in a semifinal loss to Stonehill.

Amanda Soule, Saint Michael's (Sr., A, Hartland, Vt.) - Scored seven goals this past week, including five in a 19-14 quarterfinal win over Merrimack.

Carole Lee, Southern New Hampshire (So., A, Derry, N.H.) - Totaled nine goals in two NE-10 Tournament games last week. Registered five goals in the semifinal win over Bentley then added four goals in the title game setback to Stonehill.

Libby Parent, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., M, Hinesburg, Vt.) - Totaled four goals and four assists in a 1-1 week. Notched three goals and handed out three assists in the NE-10 semifinal win over Bryant.

Kristin Darrell, Stonehill (Sr., M, West Islip, N.Y.) - Finished the week with five goals and four assists for nine total points. Also grabbed four ground balls, made six draw controls, and caused four turnovers.

Liza Gross, Stonehill (So., M, Loudonville, N.Y.) - Finished with seven goals and two assists for nine total points. Had four goals and six draw controls in the NE-10 Finals against Southern New Hampshire.

Michelle Kelly, Stonehill (Jr., M, Mendham, N.J.) - Capped off an 11-point week with a Northeast-10 Conference Championship. Had five goals against Saint Michael's in the semifinals. In the finals, registered five goals and an assist for six total points.

Mary Maloney, Stonehill (Jr., A, Great River, N.Y.) - Finished with five goals and four assists for nine total points during the NE-10 Tournament. Had two goals and four assists against Saint Michael's and registered eight draw controls, as well.

Weekly Notes:

BENTLEY: Sophomore Jaclyn Griffin (Barrington, Ill.) set the Bentley record with 50 goals this season, scoring three in the NE-10 Quarterfinals to break the previous mark of 49 set by Lauren Ferraro in 2000.

BRYANT: Sophomore Allison Faiola (Billerica, Mass.) set a Bryant school record this season with 66 goals and 90 points. Senior Caitlin Hansen (Spring Lake, N.J.) concludes her career No. 2 all-time at Bryant with 161 career goals, just 10 shy of the school record of 171 held by Shaun Leddy.

SAINT MICHAEL’S: At week's end, the senior duo of Brynne Curran (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) and Amanda Soule ended their careers as the two top scorers in program history. Curran, with 197 career points, also leaves Saint Michael's tops in career goals (158) and single-season goals (63). The senior captain, Soule, graduates with 157 career points on 136 goals and 21 assists.

STONEHILL:
The Skyhawks claimed their ninth consecutive Northeast-10 Conference Tournament Championship on Sunday with a 17-10 defeat of Southern New Hampshire. Goaltender Amanda McGeachey earned Tournament Most Valuable Player for her performance in net. Kristen Darrell (West Islip, N.Y.) finished the year with 241 goals, 14 more than Erin Acone's (2003-2006) second place mark (227). Her 309 career points are third all-time in Stonehill College history, as well. Michelle Kelly became Stonehill's fourth individual to win Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year. Stonehill has had a NE-10 Player of the Year nine of the last ten years. Kelly, a junior, finished 2008 with a career high 91 points. She will enter her senior year fourth on Stonehill's all-time scoring list (165), tied for sixth on the all-time assists list (71), and fifth in total points (236).
