Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Michelle Kelly, Stonehill (Sr., A, Mendham, N.J.) - Scored 13 goals
and dished out six assists in a 3-0 week. Scored six goals and had
an assist in a 22-2 win over Assumption, and followed it up with
four goals and two assists in a 18-0 shutout win versus Saint
Michael's.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Justine Ferland, Stonehill (Sr., G, Portsmouth, N.H.) - Allowed
just eight goals over three games last week, while making 15 saves
as the Skyhawks went 3-0 with victories over Southern New
Hampshire, Assumption (22-2) and Saint Michael’s (18-0). Had
12 saves in an 18-7 win over Southern New Hampshire.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Sarah Galligan, Stonehill (Fr., M, West Newbury, Mass.) - Had seven
goals and two assists in a 3-0 week. Had two goals and two assists
in 22-2 win over Assumption.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Morgan Mastronardi, American International (Jr., M, Corunna, Ont.)
- Scored a career-high seven goals and handed out one assist in a
20-10 win over Southern Connecticut.
Katie Warner, American International (Sr., M, Westfield, Mass.) -
Scored 10 goals and registered 12 points in two games this past
week. Scored a school-record nine goals and handed out two assists
in a 20-10 win over Southern Connecticut. Her 11 points were one
shy of tying the school-record for points in a single game.
Alyssa Ritchie, Bentley (Sr., M, North Andover, Mass.) - Had a
team-high seven points in two games last week. Had three goals and
one assist in a win at Molloy, then scored twice at No. 2 C.W.
Post.
Jordan Baillargeon, Franklin Pierce (So., M, Westfield, Mass.)
– In a 1-2 week, recorded eight goals and four assists for 12
points. Also totaled nine draw controls, two ground balls and two
caused turnovers. Posted a game and season-best six goals to go
with two assists for a season-high eight points in the win at Keene
State. Collected a goal and two assists in 9-8 setback at Saint
Michael's. Chipped in a goal against top-ranked Adelphi.
Lauren Leddy, Merrimack (Sr., M, Sea Girt, N.J.) - Tallied five
goals against Southern New Hampshire and four assists against
Assumption giving her a nine-point week in two games.
Ashley Ferrandiz, New Haven (So., M, West Sayville, N.Y.) -
Finished with five goals and two assists in a 1-1 week. Picked up
six ground balls and caused eight turnovers in two games and had
four goals and one assist with a perfect 1.000 shooting percentage
against No. 10 Dowling.
Michaela Rocha, Saint Anselm (Sr., A, Rye, N.H.) - In the 19-7
victory over American International, scored four goals and four
assists.
Amanda Pelley, Saint Michael's (Sr., M, Mashpee, Mass.) - In a 1-1
week, scored three goals and assisted on three others. The
three-goal, three-assist performance came in a 9-8 win over
Franklin Pierce.
Maura Murphy, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., A, Candia, N.H.) -
Totaled nine goals and eight assists in a 2-1 week. Recorded five
goals and two assists in a win over Merrimack, then followed up
with two goals and four assists in a win over Southern
Connecticut.
Libby Parent, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., A, Hinesburg, Vt. ) -
Recorded 10 goals and a pair of assists in a 2-1 week. Had four
goals and an assist in a win over Merrimack and five goals and an
assist in a win over Southern Connecticut.
Liza Gross, Stonehill (Jr., M, Loudonville, N.Y.) - Had eight goals
and five assists, ten ground balls and 11 draw controls in a 3-0
week. Registered three goals, two assists, four ground balls and
four draw controls in the 18-0 shutout win versus Saint
Michael's.
Mary Maloney, Stonehill (Sr., A, Great River, N.Y.) - Had 11 goals
and dished out three assists in a 3-0 week. Scored five times in an
18-7 victory over Southern New Hampshire.
Weekly Notes:
ASSUMPTION: Shannon Howard (Norfolk, Mass.) scored three
goals and assisted on another to become the sixth player in
Greyhounds history to reach 100 points for her career in a game
against Merrimack.
FRANKLIN PIERCE: Senior attack Carla Savini (Danvers,
Mass.) became just the fourth player in program history to reach
the 100-point milestone for their career in Monday's win at Keene
State. Savini has 84 goals and 17 assists for 101 career points.
Sophomore Lauren Stille (North Quincy, Mass.) became just the third
Raven to score 100 career goals with her marker against top-ranked
Adelphi on Sunday - just her 24th career game. Stille and senior
May Stoffer (New Hartford, Conn.) enter the week just an assist shy
of the career record of 23 held by Celine Stamets (2005-2008).
