Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Angelika Johansson, Franklin Pierce (So., F, Falkenberg, Sweden) -
Scored four goals for eight points in a 2-0 week. Netted three
goals in a ten-minute span late in the first half in the 5-0
victory at Pace. Collected a goal as the Ravens scored four first
half markers in a 4-0 victory over Saint Anselm.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Brittany Ester, Franklin Pierce (Sr., GK, Toms River, N.J.) - Did
not concede a goal, while averaging two saves per match, in 180
shutout minutes in goal during a 2-0 week. Posted three second half
stops to preserve a 5-0 shutout victory at Pace. Made one stop in
the 4-0 shutout of Saint Anselm.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Christina Cuffari, Saint Rose (Fr., M, Brick, N.J.) - Recorded
four points behind one goal and two assists in a 2-0 week. Added a
late goal in a 2-0 victory at American International and in a 4-2
win at Saint Anselm, picked up a pair of assists.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Sarah Boornazian, American International (So., F, Farmington,
Conn.) - Scored the game-winning goal in the 2-0 win over New
Haven.
Nikki Muhlberg, American International (Fr., M, East Hampton,
Conn.) - Scored one goal with one assist in the 2-0 win over New
Haven. Assisted on the game winner before netting her first career
goal in the closing minutes of the game to seal the win.
Kelley DeWalt, Assumption (Jr., M, Londonderry, N.H.) - Scored the
game winning goal in the 1-0 victory versus Dowling College.
Kristen Cilley, Franklin Pierce (Sr., M, Belchertown, Mass.) -
Totaled a goal and two assists for four points in a 2-0 week. Also
contributed to a defensive effort that limited the opposition to
just four shots per match without conceding a goal over the two
matches. Registered a goal and assist in the 4-0 win over Saint
Anselm. Added an assist in the 5-0 win at Pace.
Kelly Johnson, Franklin Pierce (Sr., M, Stamford, Conn.) - Totaled
two goals and an assist for five points in a 2-0 week. Netted a
goal 2:54 into the match and added an assist in the 4-0 win over
Saint Anselm. Scored a goal in the 5-0 win at Pace.
Riane Fletcher, Le Moyne (So., F, Lisbon, N.Y.) - Registered seven
points on three goals and an assist in a 1-1 week. Tallied a hat
trick in the 5-0 win over Pace. Dished out an assist in a 4-2 loss
at Saint Anselm.
Kelly Soper, UMass Lowell (Jr., F, Auburn, Mass.) –
Registered one goal and one assist in a 1-1 week. Set up the
team’s lone goal in a 2-1 loss at New Haven. Scored the lone
goal in the 1-0 victory over Bentley.
Gabrielle Gramprey, Merrimack (Jr., F, Brockton, Mass.) - Tallied
a goal and added two assists, leading Merrimack to two victories
this past week.
Jenn Senecal, Saint Michael's (So., F, Yarmouth, Maine) - In a 1-1
week, netted the game-winning goal in the 2-1 victory versus
Stonehill.
Shannon Murphy, Saint Rose (Jr., GK, Charlton, Mass.) – In a
2-0 week, registered a 1.00 goals-against-average with three saves
and one shutout. Picked up a shutout via a 2-0 win against American
International and stopped one shot in the 4-2 win versus Saint
Anselm.
Jenna Mallico, Southern Connecticut (Fr., M, Milford, Conn.) -
Scored the game-winning goal against Assumption with three minutes
remaining in the game.
Christina Nunes, Southern Connecticut (Sr., M, Naugatuck, Conn) -
Scored her first goal of the season in the 1-1 draw against No. 17
Southern New Hampshire.
Danielle Quinlan, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., MF, North Andover,
Mass.) - Converted a penalty kick with 4:32 remaining in regulation
to forge a 1-1 tie with Southern Connecticut.
Stef Young, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., GK, Natick, Mass.) -
Posted a 0.45 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage in a
1-0-1 week. Made six saves en route to her fourth shutout of the
season against Bentley.
Weekly Notes:
FRANKLIN PIERCE: Senior goalkeeper Brittany Ester posted
a pair of shutouts last week, giving her 16 in her two year career
with the Ravens to earn sole possession of sixth place on Franklin
Pierce's career list, passing Aase Kibsgaard who posted 15 shutouts
in 2002-2003.
