Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Angelika Johansson, Franklin Pierce (So., F, Falkenberg, Sweden) -
Scored all four goals in a 2-0 week. Recorded a hat trick as she
scored early in each half and added a penalty kick in the 3-0
victory over Southern New Hampshire. Netted the lone goal of the
match in the 1-0 decision over New Haven.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Shannon Rowan, Merrimack (Sr., GK, Fair Haven, N.J.) - Did not
allow a goal in two games this past week, stopping ten shots in 180
minutes of play. Recorded five saves in the 2-0 shutout victory
versus Stonehill and made five stops in the 1-0 shutout win against
Southern New Hampshire.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Jami Styruzla, Assumption (Fr., F, Bradford, Mass.) - In a 1-0-1
week scored two goals and had an assist. In a double overtime tie
against UMass Lowell scored the team’s lone goal. Scored a
goal and assisted on another in the win versus American
International.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Tina Gillen, Assumption (So., F, East Bridgewater, Mass.) - In a
1-0-1 week, scored a goal and had an assist in a win over American
International.
Lauren Keating, Assumption (So., GK, Nashua, N.H.) - In a 1-0-1
week made a total of eight saves. Posted four in a draw over UMass
Lowell and had another four save effort in a win over American
International.
Cheryl Boyd, Bentley (Jr., F, Holliston, Mass.) - Had a goal and
an assist in the 4-1 win versus Pace.
Brittany Ester, Franklin Pierce (Sr., GK, Toms River, N.J.) - Did
not conceded a goal in 170:46 in a 2-0 week. Made one second half
save to preserve a 1-0 shutout against New Haven. Posted 80:46 of
scoreless action against Southern New Hampshire.
Amanda Abbatiello, Le Moyne (Sr., GK, Liverpool, N.Y.) -
Registered eight saves and a 1.50 goals against average in a 1-1
week. Tallied five saves in the 4-0 win over American
International.
Christina Harrison, Le Moyne (Jr., F, Jamesville, N.Y.) - Tallied
seven points on three goals and an assist in a 1-1 week. Had a hand
in all four scores with three goals and an assist in the 4-0 win
over American International.
Gabrielle Gramprey, Merrimack (Jr., F, Brockton, Mass.) –
Had a hand in each of the team’s three goals this past week.
Scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Stonehill and assisted on the
team’s lone goal in the 1-0 victory over Southern New
Hampshire.
Jacqueline Cooney, Saint Anselm (So., GK, Braintree, Mass.) - Went
2-0 this past week against Bentley and Le Moyne. Recorded five
saves in the shutout victory against the Dolphins.
Jennifer Pearl, Saint Anselm (So., F, Stoughton, Mass.) -
Quarterbacked the Hawks offense this past week with three assists
in two victories this past week versus Bentley and Le Moyne.
Heidi Reece, Saint Anselm (Jr., M, Salem, N.Y.) - Scored two goals
in a 5-1 victory over Bentley.
Teresa Vercollone, Saint Anselm (Fr., F, Pembroke, Mass.) - Scored
two goals in the 3-0 win over Le Moyne.
Nicola D'Errico, Saint Rose (Fr., F, Shrewsbury, Mass.) –
Scored in her third straight game after finishing off a cross in
the 81st minute to hand sixth-ranked West Chester a 1-0
setback.
Jazmine Farrell, Saint Rose (So., F, Raritan, N.J.) - Scored three
points on one goal and one assist during a 2-0 week. Set up the
first goal of the game in a 4-0 victory at Stonehill and then
scored under 10 minutes into the second half.
Katie DiDio, Southern Connecticut (So., GK, Vernon, Conn.) -
Recorded eight saves in two games last week, allowing only one
goal. Finished with a 3-1 win over Stonehill and a 0-0 double
overtime tie against Saint Michael's.
Hailey Huntington, Southern Connecticut (So., M, Wallingford,
Conn.) - Scored the first goal and assisted the third goal in a 3-1
victory at Stonehill.
Weekly Notes:
FRANKLIN PIERCE: Senior goalkeeper Brittany Ester
collected her fifth shutout of the season last week, giving her 18
in just two seasons with the Ravens to move into fifth place on the
program's career list.
SAINT ROSE: The Golden Knights handed #6 West Chester its
first setback of the 2008 campaign after defeating the Golden Rams
1-0 on Monday. Saint Rose has registered at least 10 victories
every year this decade and did not allow a goal for the fourth
consecutive outing following a 4-0 triumph at Stonehill on
Saturday.
