Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Amanda Deck, Saint Rose (So., M, Cicero, N.Y.) - Recorded six
points behind two goals and a like number of assists throughout a
2-0 week. Set up two goals and then tallied the game-winner in the
79th minute to propel the Golden Knights to a 3-2 victory over
Mercyhurst in a national quarterfinal contest. Struck in the 63rd
minute of a 3-1 triumph against Bridgeport in the East Regional
Championship tilt.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Shannon Murphy, Saint Rose (Jr., GK, Charlton, Mass.) - Went 2-0
between the posts with six saves this past week. Stopped four shots
in a 3-1 victory over Bridgeport and then turned aside two shots to
help the Golden Knights defeat Mercyhurst 3-2 in a national
quarterfinal contest.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Nicola D'Errico, Saint Rose (Fr., F, Shrewsbury, Mass.) - Recorded
two goals in a 3-2 victory against Mercyhurst in a national
quarterfinal contest. Put the Golden Knights in front 1-0 just
11:00 in to the contest and then converted a one-on-one in the
68th, which marked the first multi-goal game of her career.
Weekly Notes:
SAINT ROSE: The Golden Knights won their first ever
regional championship behind a 3-1 victory against Bridgeport on
Friday. Saint Rose also established a single-season school record
for wins (20) following a 3-2 triumph versus Mercyhurst that gave
the Golden Knights their first ever trip to the ‘Final
Four’. With Sunday’s win goalkeeper Shannon Murphy
established a single-season school record for victories with 18 on
the year (18-2-2).
