Saint Rose Earns Fourth Straight Regular Season Title

South Easton, Mass. –The College of Saint Rose women’s soccer team earned the top seed in the Northeast-10 Championship after winning their fourth straight regular season title, while going undefeated this season. The Golden Knights finished conference play with a 15-0-0 record, clinching the top seed.

This is the third time in team history that Saint Rose has won the NE-10 regular season title outright. Last year, the Golden Knights were co-champions with Franklin Pierce University.

Franklin Pierce University (14-3-1, 12-2-1 NE-10) picked up the second seed in the championship, while the University of Massachusetts-Lowell (11-4-3, 10-3-2 NE-10) is the third seed. Merrimack College (13-4-2, 10-4-1 NE-10) secured the fourth seed for the championship. The top four teams will all host quarterfinal matches on Sunday, Nov. 1.

Adelphi University (10-5-2, 8-5-2 NE-10) clinched the fifth seed in this year’s championship. Stonehill College (10-7-1, 8-6-1 NE-10) secured the sixth seed, followed by Saint Anselm College (9-8-1, 8-7-0 NE-10) as the seventh seed, and the University of New Haven (10-6-3, 7-6-2 NE-10), the eighth seed.

Quarterfinal action begins on Sunday, Nov. 1 with #8 New Haven visiting #1 Saint Rose, #7 Saint Anselm is at #2 Franklin Pierce, #6 Stonehill travels to #3 UMass-Lowell, and #5 Adelphi will be at #4 Merrimack. All games are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

The semifinal round will take place on Thursday, Nov. 5 with the winner of Saint Rose/New Haven facing the winner of Merrimack/Adelphi and the winner of Franklin Pierce/Saint Anselm facing the winner of UMass-Lowell/Stonehill. The higher remaining seeds will serve as hosts for their respective semifinal match up.

The Northeast-10 Championship final is set for Sunday, Nov. 8 at the site of the highest remaining seed.
