Northeast-10 Player and Freshman of the Week

Catalina Echeverry, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., No. 1 Singles/Doubles, Cali, Colombia) - Was a perfect 6-0 last week, going 3-0 at No. 1 singles with wins over Assumption, Saint Michael's and Bentley. Also teamed up with Lauren Nigrelli to post a 3-0 mark at first doubles.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Kelly Fleszar, Bentley (So., No. 2 Singles/No. 1 Doubles, Larchmont, N.Y.) - Went 5-3 overall this past week, winning at both singles and doubles against Merrimack and Assumption and capturing a singles win at Southern New Hampshire.

Katherine Giambalvo, Bentley (Jr., No. 6 Singles/No. 3 Doubles, Fairfield, Conn.) - Went 5-3 overall last week, winning in both singles and doubles against Merrimack and Assumption and capturing a singles win at Southern New Hampshire.

Marcia Gilbride, Bentley (Jr., No. 4 Singles/No. 2 Singles, Topsham, Maine) - Went 6-2 overall this past week, winning both her singles and doubles matches against Merrimack, Southern New Hampshire and Assumption.

Kelly Nugent, Bentley (Sr., No. 3 Singles/No. 1 Doubles, Lynnfield, Mass.) - Went 6-2 overall this past week, including a 4-0 mark in singles. Won at both singles and doubles against Merrimack and Assumption.

Emma Czarnecki, Bryant (So., No. 1 Singles/Doubles, Huntington Woods, Mich.) - Led Bryant to a pair of wins last week earning straight sets wins at No. 1 over Bentley and Dowling. Also added two wins at No. 1 doubles for the week.

Chelsea Downing, Bryant (So., No. 2 Singles, Cherry Hills, Colo.) - Helped lead Bryant to a pair of wins at No. 2 singles last week. Rallied back from a first set loss to defeat Bentley at No. 2 singles and followed with a straight set win over Dowling. Also won both matches at No. 1 doubles.

Marran Ranks, Saint Michael's (Fr., No. 5 Singles/No. 3 Doubles, Stratham, N.H.) - Helping Saint Michael's to a pair of 5-4 wins over Merrimack and Stonehill, went undefeated in four matches. Against Merrimack, won 6-2, 6-4 in singles play and 8-3 in doubles competition. Winning the deciding match versus Stonehill, earned a singles victory, 6-4, 7-5, and doubles win 9-8 (6).

Melissa Ramos, Southern New Hampshire (Sr. , No. 5 Singles/No. 3 Doubles, Stoughton, Mass.) - Was 3-0 at No. 5 singles and 3-0 at No. 3 doubles last week with wins over Assumption, Saint Michael's and Bentley. Earned the match-clinching win in a 5-4 win over Saint Michael's.

Elise Clark, Stonehill (Sr., N o. 4 Singles/No. 2 Doubles, Spring Lake, N.J.) - Completed a 7-1 week, four wins at fourth singles, three wins at second doubles.

Daniella Granato , Stonehill (Sr., No. 2 Singles/No. 1 Doubles, Concord, Mass.) - Completed a 7-1 week with four wins at second singles and three wins at first doubles.

Weekly Notes:

BRYANT: Bryant stretched its win streak to 11 matches with wins over Bentley and Dowling last week. The Bulldogs, ranked No. 3 in the region, earned the Northeast-10 Conference regular season title with a win over Bentley Wednesday.
